Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for June!

OOC Housekeeping

The Zodiac Network Post will go up June 1st. The game wide event log will go up June 4th. A separate log for the anime convention will go up June 4th as well.
The bi-monthly AU workshop and CR plotting post will be going up June 11th.
If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month. Characters who apped in May will also need to check in.

World Changes

Teethed Squid can be off Kaisou beach and anywhere seafood is sold. Great.
A Blockbuster that contains movies from other worlds can be found om Shopping Street.
The local IKEA has been enchanted to be an infinite labyrinth. Don't get lost!
Ariadne Thread can now be purchased in Undertown! This item will allow you to teleport out of Spirit Realms to the void Denny's parking lot.
Cubchoos are now native to Kaisou's wilderness.
Ai-Mart, a japanese convenience store, can now be found in the midtown area.

Town Events
Summer time is here! With school now officially over until September, students get to enjoy their long summer break! The weather during June will be very sunny and bright! So sunny in fact that you might want to wear sunscreen.

During the month we'll also be having our first player-run plot! The annual Kaisou Anime Convention will be held in the civic center during June! Grab some friends, get into cosplay, and have a great time! Thanks goes to Dante for running this plot!

6-Month Anniversary Celebration: Free Gacha!
As of June, Kaisou will have been running for 6 months now! To celebrate, all characters will get the chance to have 3 free gacha pulls. Comment to the gacha thread below to redeem your free regains. This will be available through June 30th.

Gate Event: Night Dimension
This month's Spirit Realm will be inspired by the game series NiGHTs! Some characters (ie, it's optional) will wake up to find certain aspects of themselves have been transformed into gems and stolen, making them lose aspects of themselves. The potential losses are:

Courage/Power: Characters lose their courage and/or their physical abilities/powers
Vitality/Youth: Characters become unnaturally physically older. Please note, this is only a physical change and age restrictions will still apply to children characters.
Wisdom: Characters lose their common sense and/or impulse control. EMBRACE THE YOLO.
Intelligence: Characters lose their academic-related intelligence. How does reading work again?
Hope: Character becomes listless or extremely pessissmistic. Eeyore levels of pessimism.

These gems are being stolen by a being within the Spirit Realm. In order to retrieve them and restore people to normal, they will need to travel to the Night Dimension - a realm that's made up of people's dreams. Dreams both good and bad will take form in this realm, depending on where characters go. Either enjoy some pleasant dreamsscapes for a much needed reprieve, or face your nightmares to help retrieve the stolen pieces of yourself. While in the Spirit Realm, characters will have the ablity to fly- though they'll be stuck n a jesters outfit or silly costume while they do so. NiGHTS be like that.

Event Plans: Rose would not normally be one to volunteer for the gem retrieval mission. I say normally because the gem thief has stolen her wisdom! Gone is the reluctant hero who realizes that living to see another day is probably important. It won't end poorly.
Anything else? I don't have any funny gifs this month but next month...watch out.

Event Plans: For the Spirit Realm event, I'm thinking Moana might lose Hope, because it'd be interesting to see how she'd react to things with a more negative view. She'd still help try to get other people's gems back, but it will be filled with a lot of "what's the point?". Her dreamscape might be either Hawaii, or maybe even Motunui to help trigger some memories of her other life.

For the Kaisou Anime Convention, she'll be dressed as Sanye, a Wavewalker from the hit show "Emissary: The Last Windrider"

About: A strong, hard-working young woman who cares deeply about her family. While she's always willing to help someone out, she's finally starting to branch out with finding interests and hobbies of her own.
Event Plans: I think Luisa might not lose anything in particular, but she'll be willing to help get other people's gems back. I'm not sure what her dreamscape might be, though I am leaning a bit more towards it being more nightmare-ish. I'm also not sure if it'll happen, but I'd love to try to trigger her demon mode sometime.

For the convention, Luisa will really only be attending because Mirabel asked her to come, and she'll be dressed up as Amazing Woman. She won't really know who that is, though, so she'll probably need people to help her understand just what's all going on.

About: Just your ordinary priest with an eyepatch. Very ordinary. Except for...well, everything about him. A coffee-loving, sarcastic, laidback man of God, Hansa is the type to make you think he's a shady person up to no good that couldn't possibly be a priest. And well, he sure is a mysterious guy, but surprise! His heart is in the right place. Probably. When he isn't addicted to playing Candy Crush on his phone, he can be found trolling people over the net, offering words of advice that may or may not be sound, or acting as a Krusnik-searching agent by night and picking fights because he's, well, kind of a big jock on the inside. Sometimes you're just vibing with life!

Event Plans: Local man is turning into a cyborg - in his canon, he's 70% metal, and the Hansa of Kaisou is going to continue to inch closer to that through regains, most likely. Also, Hansa apparently is a WINNER with the gacha and got a power to experience people's pasts through touch so if you want to play with that in like, a confession booth gone wrong scenario, hit me up! As far as Spirit Realm, I have no definite plans, but I'd love to maybe throw Hansa in there and have him be a grandpa punching things (also he has a literal feral past and a traumatic backstory involving his whole village getting destroyed so I'd love for people to see that and go WTFFFF).

About: In his canon, Tsuna is the chaos attracting reluctant heir of the Vongola Mafia family but also shonen protag to the max.

In his AU, Tsuna is a little older, a little snarkier, and aware of both his mafia roots and the spiritual nature of Kaisou. He's also in deep denial about both, desperately trying to cling to a normal life while Fate/Destiny/The Universe clearly has other plans for him. He's clumsy, bad at school and sport, and as a bit of a reputation for being a loser, causing him to be a bit of a loner who doesn't draw attention to himself. He tends to skip school a lot to hang with his cousin Sora.

Event Plans:
-Tsuna will be regaining the first of his abilities, Dying Will this month. So, a near-death experience will result in Dying Will being activated, turning him to a berserker determined to act on his last regrets. And running around town in his underwear to achieve this. Who needs Dignity? Not Tsuna.
-This dovetails nicely into the Event, where Tsuna will probably lose impulse control resulting in more instances of Dying Will.
-Tsuna will be attending Summer School/Summer Tutoring
-He will also be going to the anime convention! No cosplay, mostly just looking around but chaos follows this boy.

Event Plans: Varian rolled an animal tail gacha, so this will give him a permenant monkey tail (which he will hate for canon shenanigan reasons) and I also plan to give him his elemental regains. With the MONKEY TAIL and SUDDENLY HAVING MAGIC, he's gonna be pretty upset and he's gonna lose his hope and be found laying face-down in the dirt, hating everything. If someone could get his hope back for him so he can go back to building a dubious portal, please help him! Fern's dragging him to anime con!

Event Plans: Fern will be attending the con! He has never been to one before and isn't totally sure what they are but they sound fun. He won't be cosplaying but given his default outfit he doesn't really need to.

Fern will also be jumping into the Night Dimension! His courage/power will be stolen and he'll need help getting it back, and he'll be available to assist other characters. Finn's nightmares are shown pretty consistently throughout the series and Fern's are similar, so there will be themes of deep oceans, the Lich, Billy's death, and green spiderwebbing.

In his past life he was raised to be an emotionless child soldier by basically a cult until some dumb high schoolers accidentally taught him the power of friendship. In his current life he definitely has some past baggage from being raised by a cult/shady group, but he's been trying live normally the past few years! Mostly by repression and secrecy.

Lots and lots of repression and secrecy. This is what we call "foreshadowing".

Event Plans: Jun will be attending the anime con! He fully plans to cosplay as his favorite magical girl. If you have CR with Jun and need an excuse for your character to be at the con - feel free to say he dragged them there.

Then when the event happens, Jun will be getting his powers nerfed but still deciding to go into the realm anyway because he's of course going to be reckless. Unfortunately, he's going to be confronted and overwhelmed by a lot of his personal nightmares that involve both his AU and canon life -- so people helping him through that stuff would be great!

About: Zelos was raised to be a chosen one (aka human sacrifice) in a religion that ultimately turned out fake, so as you can imagine he's got issues. He died in his timeline and in Kaisou has been dealing with his powers slowly killing him because I'm contractually obligated as a Symphonia player to torture my angel character. Zelos is snarky, flirty, and as blunt as a semi-truck. I cannot promise friendship with this character because he's a minefield of crazy.

But please don't let that stop you from subscribing to his OnlyFans.
Event Plans: Thanks to his angel toxicosis, Zelos will be losing his sense of touch starting in June! This means he won't be able to feel pain or any other feeling. As you can imagine he's fine. He's doing just fine. Actually amazingly he's doing better after he got sense punched into him by his friends last month but hey.

He won't be going to the anime convention, but he'll go to the Night Dimension to help out friends. He knows he's crazy so he'll be VERY RELUNTANCT to go near the nightmare stuff, but he'll go to help out. If he's there, get ready to have your nightmare covered in red snow. Sorry about that.
Anything else? Regarding his Angel Toxicosis- the current plan is to space out the last two phases, so he'll be losing his voice probably in August/September. While my failsafe plan is to regain his keycrests power before it progresses to the point that he's unplayable, I am open to characters finding another way to fix his angel toxicosis! It might be more fun that way honestly.

About: A high school music teacher. He grew up as a normie, but he's trying his best to adapt to this crazy new life of his. Got stuck with a cat curse back in March, so he's always dealing with that. He's a sweet and gentle person, but is more than willing to throw down if someone harms one of his kids.
Event Plans: ENJOYING SUMMER BREAK TBH. Elliot is very tired and has been working hard, so he'll be taking it easier this month. Focusing on moving out of his shitty apartment and dealing with background stuff.

He won't go to the convention and will probably stay out of the Night Dimension unless he has a reason to help out CR. Hilariously he'd be the most ok with the nightmares because honey when you deal with an anxiety disorder the nightmare realm is just your brain every day.
Anything else? He has a magic sensing permission post for anyone who has powers they want detected.

About: History student at Kaisou University who really likes watching things like ghost shows. Since he's an AU, he'll be a lot more emotionally open compared to his canon self. Though he is still not the best at making friends... what is knowing memes and trends. His goal right now is finding someplace to do a ghost hunt in.
Event Plans:
- If there is a gem to steal, I think it'd be funny to lose the Wisdom gem. YOLO Chongyun might be fun. Spirit Realm wise, it would likely be somewhere in Liyue.

- Chongyun isn't too into anime, but if he has friends going, he'll join! Maybe someone can convince him to cosplay.

Anything else?
- Since it's summertime, this guy will be trying to stay out of the sun. A lot. Since he's water aligned, and in general doesn't like heat much, Chongyun can be found wherever there's AC and cold foods. Also wherever there's deep enough water since he's gotten a Horsea from the gacha.

About: Young man who can have a volatile temper, a very loyal friend, and down for a fight. AU wise he's a college student at Kaisou U in the graphic arts department. Doesn't get enough sleep, now has a Keyblade, and keeps being woken up by an electric mouse. Life is "fine".
Event Plans:
- Gem wise, this is tricky since more than one would be great. Spirit Realm would def be The World That Never Was, though I am more inclined to have Roxas save people over being stolen. He has a Keyblade now and it would be fun for him to use it.

- CON TIME! Of course he'll be there!!! For artists alley, mostly, but also some official merch when it comes to his favorite game series and so on. No cosplay.

Anything Else: Unless someone drags him out, Roxas will be mostly working and then just staying home where the AC is.

He enjoys cooking, guns and really fancy coffee, and is currently working out what to do about the new clothes situation now that he's only 2'5.
Event Plans:I'm going to have him lose his wisdom and rush out to get it back. Does anyone want to team up with a tiny imp assassin that doesn't remember that he's an assassin? As for the Anime Convention, he will not be going unless someone convinces him to go with them.
Anything else? He's getting a cat and an axe from the Gacha. Also a popsicle stick, but he'll just be tossing that in the trash. The cat and the axe will both be triggering memories of home, so he'll be posting about that soon.

About: Tsukasa is the adopted son of a famous novelist from Japan, but this is a fact very few of his friends know. He shuns attention, much preferring to study as an amateur game designer. Recently he's been remembering bits and pieces of his time in the World, which he's put together is some kind of MMO where he played a baby twink wizard (who looks strongly like he does now).
Event Plans: His first act as an 'adult' free from high school is going to an anime convention, naturally. He'll be cosplaying another classic twink wizard. Thanks anime club.

Additionally, because of events from Tsukasa's canon strongly resembling this plot, Tsukasa will be losing part of himself and need rescuing. There will likely be CWs for abuse though so please heed them if that's too intense for you. (I am toning it down from the show, however.)

About: A college student with a focus on dance and dance-related things. Friendly most of the time, likes to consider herself easy for people to make friends with, likes making new friends herself. She was unprepared for any of this but has pretty quickly gotten enough of an understanding of it that she isn't particularly fazed by minor stuff now, though anything major still gets her wondering What The Fuck (the question of How no longer crosses her mind). For some reason, a lot of the weirdness that's happened directly to her is mostly that she's periodically and repeatedly found random stuff for no immediately-apparent reason; she's been keeping track in the nigh-futile hopes that she can find some sort of pattern that could possibly explain it.

About: A junior in high school who doesn't like to deal with most people too often, but still has a few friends that she feels comfortable enough with most of the time. She recently regained her 'Dragon Scar', the pink dragon-head thing which is stuck on her head like a hat—which normal people do see it as a witch hat—and she's a bit less than happy about it. Between that and learning about the events of the past month, she really just wants nothing to do with any of this and would rather just try to go back to having as normal a life as she can. (spoiler: that's gonna go out the window at some point and we all know it)
Event Plans: Kat will be at the con, whether she went on her own or Jun insisted on dragging her along or whatever! With some help from her parents and cousin (who can't see the Dragon Scar for what it is) she'll have picked out an outfit that goes with the hat that everyone else sees and will be showing up dressed as, you guessed it, a witch. Any resemblance to characters in any anime or manga that exists within Kaisou's setting is Purely Coincidental™.

She will be actively avoiding Spirit Realm stuff, so won't be involved there unless she's somehow forced to be.

His price is that he has to eat/drink/sleep enough for two people and he is unable to refuse to hear people out when it comes to their problems, and is required to give a solid effort to help at least one person per day who comes to him with issues. Event Plans: Minato will casually attend the anime convention because his cousin likes that kind of thing. He may go in costume, after hitting Jun up to ask for one later probably...? He's a light-aligned college student (19 years old, he'll be 20 in July) whose mother's family were all spiritually sensitive shaman/priestess types back in Japan; however, Izuku and his mom moved to America to be with his father, who was working overseas. He sort of tries to keep that kind of thing in mind, but he's studying to be an engineer, so...he's very kind and outgoing, and he has a part time job somewhere. WHO WANTS A COWORKER.
Event Plans: He will attend the anime convention in costume, and also I want him to find in the video store possibly some hero movies from his world? I can regain them if need be, whatever, but who wants to become an All Might fan? Also will have him losing his impulse control so have fun with that.

He also has a youtube channel that focuses mostly on nail art but also includes some makeup looks. The name is "Cherried Away".
Event Plans: He will maybe go to the convention if someone asks him but doesn't plan to otherwise! Will mostly be getting to know people, I'd say he will lose his courage in the event!

About: Weird feral bird child who's been at least somewhat tamed and socialized. Still speaks pretty oddly, but can get along with people okay in general.
Event Plans: Tiera's going to lose her Intelligence and find it a lot harder to communicate in human languages. She does have a fallback imageboard/app that she can use, and she can kind of struggle to understand and communicate if necessary, but anyone who can speak animal will be a big help to translate.

She might end up going through one of her nightmares as well, although it might be a bit more primal/instinctive.

About: Fourteen years old, a recently graduated middle school student soon to move on to high school. Souta appears to be a relatively normal if quiet teen. Very soft boy, a gentle soul who will gladly support others. Too bad he doesn't focus enough on himself as well.
Event Plans: This month Souta will be recovering from having signed up for death soccer, surviving, and the resulting guilt. Folks are welcome to recognize him from the match, since it still hasn't really clicked for him that people who watched might have noticed him. He will be at the anime convention casually. While Souta will visit the Spirit Realm, he isn't losing a gem. He will at least try to be more careful this time around.
Anything else? Additionally, Souta has regained the Key of Elde (also known as Elde's Key). Since it remains locked inside him, he won't notice any difference for a while unless he sees someone in danger during the event, but anyone who can sense magic or other powers is welcome to notice the alarming power boost he's gotten.
