Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!

If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

If you are a player with a character in game looking for CR:
You can use this post to comment with your character and established some handwaved CR or just come up with different ways for characters to meet!

Character Name: Zhongli
Canon: Genshin Impact
Age: Looks 30, is really about 1800
Type: POKEGO AU! Originally from the Black Order.

About: Zhongli, a.k.a. Professor Ginkgo, used to be part of the Black Order in its heyday. Then he was slapped upside the head by an old friend, the God of Freedom, and lent his considerable power to backing a rebellion that fractured TBO and led to the demise of its leaders. Nowadays he teaches history at Kaisou University, specializing in East Asian history, and also serves as a recent addition to POKEGO. Very few are privy to the knowledge that this is because he lived through history himself.

Typical Activities: Zhongli teaches both intro to history classes and some higher level Asia-focused ones, so if your character attends school they've likely had his classes the past yearish, or at least heard of him. He's rather notorious for going off on long tangents about historical accuracy and has definitely debated his fellow professors in the halls.

Looking for: If you have any ideas, shoot! Otherwise I'm just posting so you have some easy teacher/student CR if you want it. He's a good mentor, just... don't ask him to pay for your lunch.

This is not really a note for Saffy, this is just a note for anyone else reading this that Ratio and Zhongli have had loud debates in the hallways where students can overhear, and once Ratio has finished processing that Zhongli is actually a god they will probably start doing that again sometime in the future too

Zulius pesters Zoodles on the regular. He's in your WALLS, you crusty old dragon. Given how regularly he visits Venti, it means he drags Zhongli into their nonsense. As he values Zoodles a friend in his own right, Zules would ask him to tea and all that fancy stuff regularly too- he'll even listen to all your history stuff! Because THAT'S friendship.

Husk cares for Zhongli a lot and will check in on him every couple weeks. He pretends that's not what he's doing and tries to mask it as general bitching about the world at large- but honestly Husk LIKES spending time with Zoodles.

Varian sees a lot of him in POKEGO and Kaisou U and will stop and say hi! He respects Zoodles a lot but he also has no idea how to handle him so he's mostly awkward about it.

Persephone REALLY likes Zoodles, and invites him to tea a couple of times a week. She appreciates him being the most normal god she's ever met and enjoys just sitting quietly, talking history and sipping nice tea.

Bailey is absolutely in his classes and has absolutely been a very curious and diligent student.

And Fugo's been visiting as often as he can when he's not otherwise busy!!
