Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!

If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

If you are a player with a character in game looking for CR:
You can use this post to comment with your character and established some handwaved CR or just come up with different ways for characters to meet!

Type: normal AU but like he's been here a few years that means nothing

About: Art teacher! High school and at Cygnus! Drag performer under the name Rei Markable! Dating a WoL!
Typical Activities: Art. Art all the time, he is constantly doing art somewhere. Otherwise he's also been training under Takame and might be looking for people to try and spar with! He's at the Vogue pretty often as a performer, too.

Looking for: ANY AND ALL I am trying to get the boy out more but he's so comfortable with his tiny circle that it's hard.

I assume we can handwave the art lessons Yusuke offered Maxima, unless there's something you particularly want to thread. They'll definitely be an interesting experience - he's completely inexperienced with art in general, and I actually imagine he might have some more difficulty than average translating images from 3D to 2D, because of how Garlean perception works

yeee we can totally handwave those!! and yeah Yusuke will be. baffled by this because he's had the opposite issue with students before so this will be a fascinating experience for him.

he knows the shape and spatial location of every object in this still life in a way that regular humans simply aren't capable of processing, but sketching that onto a flat surface? tricky and frustrating. he's very willing to continue working at it, at least!

Naturally, Zulius is all over Yuuki when he comes to the Vogue. He gets treated like an HONOURED guest every time. And Zules is always here to big up his art.

Persephone occasionally will give him a nod of acknowledgement on the street, too! She appreciates her art on her shrine, okay.

Zules is appreciated and also probably gets like one free art piece a year tbh. and he is UNSURE if the nod is like. as close to praise as she gets?? but appreciated??

Type: former Black Order paranormal AU

About: Fite-y German punk turned dog dad. Seriously he loves his dogs (and his boyfriend). Used to be possessed, got the fixed.
Typical Activities: He's in college! He visits his family (which is. expansive here)! He's taken up reading Chinese classics in an effort to understand Zhongli, his gramps and also the guy he has a pact with! He has a motorcycle and a Miraidon!

Looking for: College CR? past Black Order CR? folks who are baffled at the Miraidon because why does that lizard look like a bike and also run on sandwiches?

Now that he's in college, Jun probably hangs out with him on campus and grabs lunch with him sometimes! Regular topic of conversation is any books he's been reading lately.

yes good. please enjoy sometimes getting Ash's Bitching About People in Class Bouts, Jun. they happen a lot.

Ash might come across Varian sometimes in college! Especially if he's hanging out with Jun. Once he realises Ash is ALSO GERMAN there will be no getting rid of him.

Type: POKEGO AU

About: Cranky anti-social spicy kitten hacker/coder/developer. Technically the liason for questions about Pokemon, thanks Oak. Developer of the Gemini App.
Typical Activities: He is on his computer at home all the time unless it's time for in person college classes or his turn at PICHU.

Looking for: Internet friends? People who do not mind the spicy?

if he hasn't heard from Yuuki in awhile (like a month), he'll send him a meme to see if he's still alive.

he gets a thumbs up each time. or a photo of his Pokemon doing stupid things because he is secretly a cat dad

Varian will send Yuuki meals on occasion, because honestly he does worry about you and if you're eating enough. He understands the getting into a project and not seeing the light of day thing. Just make sure you eat, Buddy!

Also once Jax is here he is gonna bother the hell out of you, sorry not sorry, Yuuki. I am still down for him having to be the one to have called the curse hit on him too. Jax thinks it's funny.

Yuuki does appreciate the food even if he is...himself about it. his Fidough absolutely adores Varian for the food though

AND YES GOOD Yuuki is going to block his ass but there needs to be at least one thread of "oh YOU FUCKER"

Canon: Honkai Star Rail
Age: 23
Type: normal AU who took to the weird shit way too easily

About: Chaotic Raccoon DoorDasher Gig Worker. Dumpster diver extraordinaire. Easily talked into being a gremlin. Little bit of a himbo.
Typical Activities: Gig work! He also is the Fortress's specific delivery boy and he'll take shifts in the kitchen sometimes. He's a POKEGO apprentice who will probably take a few classes but won't be going hard into college. Also tabletop.

Looking for: He's a Kaisou native, so anyone else who is would be fun! He traveled a lot too, between graduating high school and when I apped him, so folks from outside of the city in the US are also totally cool.

Varian and Caleb run into each other a lot in the Fortress. Varian will actually seek him out sometimes to spend time with him. FRIENDS or something. Ruddiger will regularly break into Caleb's room to hang out/eat his food. Sorry, you've gained a raccoon friend now.

Ruddiger Caleb lives on the surface how are you getting here whatever have snacks??? also yes FRIENDS Caleb needs more friends tbh, it's the chronic protag syndrome

About: So take the bluntness of Yusuke and cross it with the spicy of Yuuki and that's Wanderer. He has very little patience for...most people.
Typical Activities: He works in Shio's soba shop! Otherwise...not much, I'm working on that.

Looking for: HE WILL SOON BE ASKING FOR PEOPLE TO TEACH HIM CRAFTS he was apprenticed to his aunt before the Order fucked him over and he wants to get back to that. He was training to be a metalsmith but he has a knack for all the crafts.

Would. Would Kunikaki like to meet Shio's brother? Yugo here doesn't work at the soba shop, but likely does visit since you know. His brother is there.

Jun is a semi-regular at Shio's restaurant! So chances are he sees wanderer sometimes when he stops in, usually to try something new or talk to Shio a bit.

Have they've ever held a real conversation? It's a mystery.
