Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!

If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

If you are a player with a character in game looking for CR:
You can use this post to comment with your character and established some handwaved CR or just come up with different ways for characters to meet!

Character Name: Samuel Kovacs (Sampo Koski)
Canon: Honkai Star Rail
Age: 33
Type: Ronin AU

About: Voice like a used car salesman and the skeevy presence to boot, Sampo comes across as an untrustworthy scalper here to sell you discount goods from his shed or from his ebay.com page. The views are mixed between bright and calling him out to be a scammer--but the split is so 70/30 that he's not been banned yet.
The man has been living on his own for nearly 15 years, skipping between worlds and cities all over North America in order to Avoid being caught by the Black Order due to the fact that he's carrying a God that housed itself inside his head when he'd gotten killed by someone who was slighted by one of his less-than-best moneymaking schemes in his teens.

He goes by an alias now and often can be found taking on faces and forms--of all genders--in order to disguise himself as anything and anyone in order to keep himself safe, he's not been allowed to 'be himself' for years and it's difficult to take the mask off once you've been wearing it for so long.

His memories on his previous life are fuzzy at best--he remembers only minimal chunks of them relating to 'friends' he has in the city--The Trailblazers Dan Heng, Caleb and March 7th.
He prefers living his life as he is now instead of focusing too much on who he was, anyway. With the Black Order reformed and changing management, he no longer has to run in fear of being caged and chained by them, which is a whole new adventure for him. However, he still cannot help but to slip back into his old ways of trying to make a quick buck off people--it's an old habit that won't die.
Even when you're dating the richest man in Kaisou.

Looking for: Anyone who can basically handle his wise-cracking, addle-talking ways would be a great friend for him. He's annoying at best and overly playful at worst, but sometimes people can handle being friends with someone who makes a joke out of almost every situation you're in, right?
Given the price he has to pay for a God being in his head, he constantly has to seek entertainment and even play jokes on people. It's fine.

He makes a great escort to stable gates and other worlds when they crop up, as he's been to many in his 15 years of running around. He knows how to survive and blend into most worlds and where's best to find treasures and things you might be looking for.

I'd love cr with anyone who might be able to handle his annoying way of treating others--or people who might be able to look under his mask a little, with enough patience. People who'll play pranks with him, he's an equal-oppertunity prankster. Anyone who plays a joke on him in return are his favorites.

He'll do any job for any price, too. your character need to find something that's difficult to find? he's your man. need an escort to another world? he'll go with you. can't figure out where fucking Eevee spawns in kanto? He knows the place.

He's also dealing with the fact that he stupidly attached a Cruxis Crystal to his hand a few months back and has been dealing with the effects of it for two months, so that's fun. I'll be slowly buying its powers--and its debuffs--starting this month, and he's been looking for ores and crystals to give to his buddy Blade to help him create a Keycrest so the rock doesn't turn him into a monster. not ideal.

Husk still bitches and moans about Sampo every time they cross paths, but he actually DOES enjoy his company, even if he won't admit it. He will say he thinks Sam is the most annoying man alive, but genuinely he makes life interesting- and now he knows WHY Sampo does what he does, he's a lot more understanding about it. Husk might not seek him out a lot, but if they cross paths he won't immediately try to leave so that's uh... something.

I have a feeling Sampo and Jax would be a terrible, awful combination that the city might not recover from so clearly they need to meet.
