Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!
If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!
A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

About: THE
one she tells you not to worry aboutDiarmuid ua Duibhne of Celtic Legend. Knight of Fianna and Saber Servant of our favorite pipecleaner, Waver Velvet. He's straight out of an Otome game in how flowery and romantic he tends to be without prompting but he genuinely is just that enthusiastic about everything he does and says. He's got a fuckload of hangups about how he's literally cursed to have women fall for him on sight, but that's not an issue in Kaisou. In Kaisou it on top of the consequences of said curse is uh... something to work on in therapy.He's just happy to be here and is currently a Black Order recruit because he truly believes that now that leadership has changed that he can assist in the good they should keep doing and protecting people. He is a Knight first and foremost after all!
Typical Activities: He's Waver's TA within Cygnus and for a brief moment at Kaisou U but I imagine he's helped other professors and otherwise office workers as an assistant for them as well within both campuses. He's the really, really, really hot assistant guy that the horny college girls, gays and theys cannot stop looking at so he's got that reputation. Also a part-time roof cryptid and often goes by the Jackdaw because his bro is there so if you interned there you have likely seen him a few times.
he's honestly just a chronic do-gooder and of the oppressive class known as morning people. also i wanted him to have an old man hobby so i made him be a gardening guy.
Looking for: He's an easy one, so I'm down with anything. Admittedly it'd be fun to find someone who presses his irritation buttons. People who now his legend too and can have an OH SHIT YOU'RE THE GUY would also be funny. Hindsight's a bitch.

Age: 36 as of 10/2024. No canon age but also he died in that then came back so that makes it hard to gauge anyway.
Type: POKEGO AU
About: The headache of many a cultivator and POKEGO researcher and rookie. Wei Wuxian is an irritating gremlin of a man who will press every single one of your buttons gleefully and continue to be an annoying loudmouth because if he doesn't he will Perish. For real though if he isn't yapping there's something quite wrong. I might have determined 2025 as the Wei Wuxian Pear Wiggler Time as 2024 was Dia's.
He is like actually good at his job and infuriatingly intelligent he just has a lot of depression and ADHD. Your local Spirit Realm thesis major. He's probably my most openly friendly if you want to take that risk oops.
Typical Activities: Aside from being in Cygnus sometimes for POKEGO things he does software engineer work. Honestly more often than not you'll find WWX anywhere he should NOT be just fooling around or chasing a whiff of something he found interesting or vital to look into. If you come up to him with Pokemon or Spirit Realm questions in general he'd answer them. Also, he likes to drink. He really likes to drink. He's part of Noct's DND circle of idiots too and has been within indie music circles in the past so he likely is still poking his nose into that.
Looking for: He's a little tricky to preform relationships with because if you ever ran into him pre-POKEGO he probably burned a bridge with you at some point but by all means if you want that drama I, too, love it and that's also a free "You know the name Wei Ying before Wei Wuxian" pass.
That said please come closer he is an ordinary twink :) (i want to irritate you in the worst way possible)

Age: 33 as of 4/2024
Type: OU
About: One of the Warriors of Light... of Kaisou! A former conscripted soldier of the Garlean Empire who led a life of suppressing the rebellions of his homeland who later liberated it. Kickstarted his journey to Eorzea in wanting to find himself then ended up becoming a hero. Has since let a friend take the main role of that. Still struggling with finding himself and deciding what direction he wishes to go and if he has it in him to be a role model to anyone but despite having as much facial expression range as a potato you told an AI to say he's a sweet lad who likes meeting new people.
Typical Activities: Takame's a Cygnus instructor AND a Vogue employee! At Cygnus he's a self defense and swordplay instructor and at Vogue he's mostly a stagehand but does many other things as well. He's also one of Kaisou's several seers who is trying to pick up the sort of defacto point of contact role for them that August left behind. Other than that places he goes are largely... dictated by who decided to drag him where cause he's still a pushover oops.
Looking for: Takame's very well established but please by all means give him more reasons to make friends he likes friends...

I mean I think it's already a given that Knuckles and Takame spar occasionally but I figured I should note he's starting to get pretty good at making use of his kaisou-given water powers! So Takame would most certainly be aware of that
ALSO as I said to Nao, with regards to Ritsuka any time she has a thread with just Waver or Dia, but it's likely the other one would be present, you guys are free to just handwave that if you want! Because look sometimes it's easier not to hassle with three way threads when the third person would mostly be just off in the background okay

Type: Paranormal AU
About: Canon SS-Class Criminal by the game's military force. AU probably has a warrant for his arrest in Bulgaria or something for vandalizing and aggravated assault. Either way, a rage filled bitch boy who wants revenge against Krusnik just like the ghost in his head wants it. Still fights with that ghost in his brain but for now things are quiet. For now. He's really a big tsundere who cares about his loved ones and doesn't want people's futures to be robbed due to shit they can't control but you'll never hear him say that out loud. A little lost in life right now but at least has a baseline of normalcy to look back on even if it hurts.

Typical Activities: He works as one of Meropide's cooks but besides that he still doesn't go out of his way to interact with or talk to people, god knows he's not gonna touch any of the campuses. He works alone first and foremost and if anything he's mostly on Kaisou's outskirts ready to fuck up anything that tries to fuck with the town and the people in it, if not he's hovering around Arcadia Apartment complex.

About: The Ultimate Lifeform himself. Shadow has been kept on ice in the GUN Military base for the past 50 years after being under the scientific supervision of Professor Gerald Robotnik and others for the next steps of humanity. After the GUN base was destroyed and with it Gerald's granddaughter and Shadow's only friend Maria killed, Shadow is back and he's pissed off and wants revenge against the world for taking Maria away.
He's vengeful, he's spiteful, he's stronger than you and if he gave you a warning before knocking you into the dirt consider yourself blessed.
Literally all of this info is aligned with him in Sonic Adventure 2, so none of it is spoodle doodles don't worry.
Looking for: Well he's not going to be happy at all being thrown into another world. He already doesn't like most people and has not been socialized in five decades but is still smart enough for free to grill your asses. Which is to say, if you're full of sunshine you will throw him off guard.
