Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for August!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up August 1st, with a midmonth post going up August 15th. The first half of the event log will be posted August 4th, with the second half going up August 11th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

• Trick Room TM are now available for pokemon to learn
• Deus Gem Quartz can be purchased for your ARCUS!

Side quests
Side quests have been given an overhaul! In the new side quest system, players will now be able to submit their own side quests to be posted, as well as earn regain points. Go ahead and check it out!

New side quests will be posted this weekend!

POKEGO Update
POKEGO has been vibing and will continue to vibe! Don't worry guys, I haven't forgotten about you. We're just dealing with one of the other factions being on fire for months. Please help put out the fire. Please.

Zodiac Update
The playable Zodiac characters are now on the app, and they are now have been given the job of assisting the Libra app users on top of their prior responsibilities. Do they get bonuses for this? No. But we'll give you a pizza party!

Starting now until the start of the second phase of the plot, the Zodiac characters will be tasked with getting Yggdrasil capable of traveling between the realms. This means they will need some type of bifrost/light magic tool that will tap into the tree. It is entirely up to you how the Zodiac crew manages to pull this off, rather they make a gadget or have a wild adventure into the Spirit Realm.

Black Order Update
So bad news, you guys won't be getting paid this month again. And your bosses are now coming after you personally.

But good news! Sympathetic members of the Order have noticed Kaisou's efforts, and they will be coming to help! Starting with the event log, Black Order ally NPCs will be around in kaisou! They will be on the Gemini app, and available to help with plot things.

City Events
Since August is a fire month, expect the weather to be extremely hot! Luckily, it'll be a dry heat so it'll probably be more bearable than July's humidity.

And with August comes the Kaisou County Fair! Check out the fair in-between the revolution, there's lots of fun new foods to try!

Special Event: Asgard
This month's event will the big climax to the Black Order plot, and features the realm of Asgard! Characters will be facing off against the leaders of the Black Order, aka the Unyielding, and storming Asgard. The plot will mostly be focusing on the boss battles, but it will also provide a chance for characters to learn some of the Order's darkest secrets (YES, THERE'S MORE)

Speaking of the Unyielding, it's time to announce who you'll be facing off against! The Five unyielding are:

• Arianrhod (Yuff)
• Jun Wu (Ryuu)
• Kirei Kotomine (Nao)
• Kratos Aurion (Saffy)
• Tsuchigomori (Prince)

Each of these Unyielding will be their own boss fights with their own unique mechanics. Please read their plotting comments for more information! Also please note that these fights will be more difficult than the Zealot fights, so please make sure your characters are ready!

Due to the sheer amount of stuff going on, the event log will be broken down into two updates:

August 4th (aka August 3rd at 6pm EST): First half! This will contain town events, the arrival of the Black Order Allies. And the first two unyielding battles (Kratos and Arianrhod). Arianrhod's battle will take place in the fields of Hyrule and will feature a giant mech battle, while Kratos will be breaking into the Fortress of Meropide... for any of you unlucky souls who were hanging out there.

August 11th (aka August 10th at 6pm EST): Second half! This will be when the player characters will be heading into Asgard to face off with the final three members of the Unyielding (Kirei, Tsuchigomori and Jun Wu). They will all be taking place in different sectors of Asgard. Characters will also get a chance to explore Asgard and dig up more of the Order's secrets.

After the plot is over, September is planned to be a chiller month and that'll also be the time when players can start to figure out what the future of the Order will look like.

ARIANRHOD, THE STEEL MAIDEN (Unyielding)

Arianrhod will be among the first Unyielding to be battle! Unlike the others, she will openly challenge the player characters to face her out in Hyrule.

Her style of combat is mostly melee, with using a massive lance. The fight will be pretty straight forward, with two parts to it.

Part 1: You'll be fighting just Arianrhod! She will hit like a truck and move extremely fast. Also she might crucify some of you as a treat.

Part 2: She will summon her Divine Knight which is a 8 meter tall (26 feet tall) mech that is equipped with a massive lance made of special metal that is near unbreakable. Basically, the only way to beat this form is to be Big Yourself (this is also why this battle is taking place in Hyrule, who cares about collateral damage baby!)

Personality wise, Arianrhod is probably the most noble and moral of the Unyielding, though she's clearly become too jaded over the years. Immortal characters might also realize that she was once this world's version of Joan of Arc.

She will most likely die when her battle is over, as she will start to fade away once her mech is destroyed- but it is possible to seal her away if you rather not kill her. I'm open to either option!

Saffy here, I specifically am throwing in Kratos as a sort of 'bad end' to see exactly what happens when an old man with depression is allowed to stay in the Black Order and in fact encouraged in his depression.

He used to be one of my mains a long time ago in Paradisa so some of you are negative surprised and that's OK.

Hey im Prince and I'm bringing one of the Unyielding is anyone surprised that it's yet another black-and-white haired man.

Anyway, I have This thing that's totally normal for me to ask ya'll to fill out ONLY IF YOU'RE PLANNING ON YOUR CHARACTER GOING INTO ASGARD. If your character is not going into the belly of the beast, please disregard.

Tsuchigomori is known as the Timekeeper, and is one of the less scary Unyielding due to his desire for staying inside his library which Holds literally all the secrets of the Order. He's usually the one who hounds Jusis and other higher ups to turn in their paperwork on time.
He has an obsession with knowledge and keeping track of history and every bit of writing is sacred, everything needs to be recorded.

TWs for possible spider imagery because he is, in fact, a spider-like fae creature, but I can leave any descriptions of spiders or anything relating spiders out of tags with him if asked.

His fight will be a layered labyrinth where characters will need to face him 1 on 1 and pass his tests/survive his maze in order to get through to him.

Okay so here's how his fight will work.

Phase 1: You're fighting his pets first. You gotta EARN this boss fight, goddamn it. There will be AOE, status effects, and things that will target tanks AND healers so NOBODY IS SAFE.

Phase 2: You'll fight The Ghost General himself. He has armor that is invulnerable except for one specific spot (please thank Xie Lian later). Jun Wu will also make it extremely hard to hit him with magic, is immune to status effects, can debuff you, can heal himself, and overall it's going to be a battle of attrition. This is why there'll ONLY be two phases because holy shit, my guy.

I'm using my entire DM brain against you guys so I hope you enjoy the fight! ;w;

ALLY NPC: ACHERON

HI EVERYONE ‘tis Effy!! I’m bringing Acheron from Honkai: Star Rail for ally NPC duties, she’s an aloof but ultimately kind person who also happens to be possessed by a demon who eats her memories. also she is a super-speedy super-strong lightning/wind swordmaster. she’s here to help and check in on old friends both in the Order and outside of it!

her backstory is, her entire family was killed, but the thing that did it spared and possessed her for reasons she’s not entirely sure of. she can’t remember much about her family but she holds onto the emotions she felt for them. she was recruited by the Order as she was drifting about and has since been quietly sabotaging the zealot-led missions she’s been put on. she also happens to have a girlfriend, you might know her too, her name’s Black Swan?

I’m v open to like, any kind of past CR with her!! she’s been around the Order for Some Time Now, so you can say she and your characters have met before.

An~y~way~ this girl here goes by Cereza and she’s a mechanic/woke up to remembering being a 500+ year old witch and took Jeanne’s place in the Black Order.

Needless to say she’s up for a good old rebellion, and she hates things getting stale or boring. She loves the grumpy people and the idiots, those are her favorite people to pester, but she gets along with just about everyone, really. Hit me up or just bonk into me here if you would like to pester her or have her hang on your character, because she’s a Spanish woman she is gonna be the touchy-feely type.

Yeah hi it's Lapi and I'm bringing this old turtle man (note: not actually a turtle in the AU), Kamek from the Mario games, in as an ally!

Cameron, as his AU self is called, is 300 years old, a massive nerd who spends much of his time in the library, and a begrudging Serial Mentor who can't help but mother any younger guardians he works with. Perhaps ironically compared to his past life's fanatical devotion to Bowser, he doesn't care much for the Order's higher-ups, but he is absolutely ride-or-die with his fellow grunts, which is why he's all in on rebellion.

So if any of that sounds like grounds for established CR with any of your folks please hit me up I'm literally begging.

He has a suspiciously small raid sized party of npcs that will not be following him into Kaisou for this, but anyone who deals with him on a regular basis would know he's got a bunch of D&D larpers for pals (like there's a healer, a wizard, etc.)

He is not incredibly OP or anything but hey, he can take hits for you and give shounen speeches. He's here for the WoLs he heard so much about from Lilian!

If you want more info, here is the little blurb I turned in with his backstory. He's a good guy, really, who just fell in with bad people. Again.

Velvet Crow (Ally)

That's to say, Yuff here bringing back Velvet Crowe! Since leaving Kaisou, she's been in Florida, but will be driving a "borrowed" van back up to Kaisou along with the rest of Team Florida to help get her revenge on the Order once and for all.

Surprise to no one, she's as unhinged as ever.

Hello hello everyone I'm here with a complete weenie and his chinchilla that he named after a weird flappy bird he had in a past life-

Ravio- aka Raoul- here is meant to be your scout (unwilling) and guy-in-the-chair (far more willing), but he'll also enchant stuff to be shadow element for a day. It's like a Rental System! :]

(Oh and he has this silly little habit of occasionally vanishing from complete perception sometimes. dw abt it)

For the UNFAMILIAR, this guy is basically Link's bizarro-double from a mirror reality called Lorule which had a really bad time. Very interested in the gang who saved A Hyrule suffice to say, even if he really doesn't wanna be anywhere near the combat! No-Thank-You!

He'll be arriving with Ardbert and Cereza, and if someone wants to know him either by way of having mentored him in the past (He was trained for sneaking around and scouting- He's supposed to be one of the guys who gets people kidnapped, how nice :] )- OR even just as someone who he knew as a peer for a hot minute- HIT ME UP!!

He'll be pleasantly surprised if he runs into people he knows here, suffice to say.

Vermouth / Sharon Vineyard (Ally)

Greetings! I bring you Sharon Vineyard aka Vermouth from Detective Conan.

Canonically Vermouth is a dubious ally, as she is part of the Black Organization (no relation) but is old friends with the protagonist's mom due to their mutual acting career. While a two-faced criminal who kills with a smile, she is fiercely protective if folks somehow manage to weasel into her heart.

Like her canon counterpart, she specializes in intel gathering and infiltration thanks to her mastery of disguise. Sharon absolutely uses these abilities to also play pranks on her fellow members, sorry yall.

Sharon caught someone's attention in the Black Order and got stuck in an immortality experiment for her troubles. As a result, she deaged in appearance to roughly mid-thirty and no longer ages. Probably the youngest of the immortals in the group. She has been secretly bitter since then, so she is hopeful for up and coming rebellion ending this organization. Her visit will probably be a surprise since she's kept mum on the topic up to now.

If any Black Order folks want her even more strongly on their side, past selfless actions towards her will go a long way. She has a weakness for those shounen types.
