August Plotting & CR Post
Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for August!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up August 1st, with a midmonth post going up August 15th. The first half of the event log will be posted August 4th, with the second half going up August 11th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
World Changes
- Trick Room TM are now available for pokemon to learn
- Deus Gem Quartz can be purchased for your ARCUS!
Side quests
Side quests have been given an overhaul! In the new side quest system, players will now be able to submit their own side quests to be posted, as well as earn regain points. Go ahead and check it out!
New side quests will be posted this weekend!
POKEGO Update
POKEGO has been vibing and will continue to vibe! Don't worry guys, I haven't forgotten about you. We're just dealing with one of the other factions being on fire for months. Please help put out the fire. Please.
As always, you can check out updates to the PICHU facility here and information about Cygnus Academy here.
Zodiac Update
The playable Zodiac characters are now on the app, and they are now have been given the job of assisting the Libra app users on top of their prior responsibilities. Do they get bonuses for this? No. But we'll give you a pizza party!
Starting now until the start of the second phase of the plot, the Zodiac characters will be tasked with getting Yggdrasil capable of traveling between the realms. This means they will need some type of bifrost/light magic tool that will tap into the tree. It is entirely up to you how the Zodiac crew manages to pull this off, rather they make a gadget or have a wild adventure into the Spirit Realm.
Black Order Update
So bad news, you guys won't be getting paid this month again. And your bosses are now coming after you personally.
But good news! Sympathetic members of the Order have noticed Kaisou's efforts, and they will be coming to help! Starting with the event log, Black Order ally NPCs will be around in kaisou! They will be on the Gemini app, and available to help with plot things.
The Allies that will be arriving are:
- Acheron (Effy)
- Ardbert (Saffy)
- Bayonetta (Kyah)
- Black Swan (Jay)
- Camilla (Amber)
- Childe/Tartaglia (Lum)
- Emet-Selch (Fae)
- Kamek (Lapi)
- Noel Vermillion (Bon)
- Randy Orlando (Jade)
- Ravio (Usagi)
- Risotto Nero (Amber)
- Velvet Crowe (Yuff)
- Vermouth (MK)
Feel free to plot with any of these guys about pre-established CR or thread possibilities while they're in Kaisou!
City Events
Since August is a fire month, expect the weather to be extremely hot! Luckily, it'll be a dry heat so it'll probably be more bearable than July's humidity.
And with August comes the Kaisou County Fair! Check out the fair in-between the revolution, there's lots of fun new foods to try!
Special Event: Asgard
This month's event will the big climax to the Black Order plot, and features the realm of Asgard! Characters will be facing off against the leaders of the Black Order, aka the Unyielding, and storming Asgard. The plot will mostly be focusing on the boss battles, but it will also provide a chance for characters to learn some of the Order's darkest secrets (YES, THERE'S MORE)
Speaking of the Unyielding, it's time to announce who you'll be facing off against! The Five unyielding are:
- Arianrhod (Yuff)
- Jun Wu (Ryuu)
- Kirei Kotomine (Nao)
- Kratos Aurion (Saffy)
- Tsuchigomori (Prince)
Each of these Unyielding will be their own boss fights with their own unique mechanics. Please read their plotting comments for more information! Also please note that these fights will be more difficult than the Zealot fights, so please make sure your characters are ready!
Due to the sheer amount of stuff going on, the event log will be broken down into two updates:
August 4th (aka August 3rd at 6pm EST): First half! This will contain town events, the arrival of the Black Order Allies. And the first two unyielding battles (Kratos and Arianrhod). Arianrhod's battle will take place in the fields of Hyrule and will feature a giant mech battle, while Kratos will be breaking into the Fortress of Meropide... for any of you unlucky souls who were hanging out there.
August 11th (aka August 10th at 6pm EST): Second half! This will be when the player characters will be heading into Asgard to face off with the final three members of the Unyielding (Kirei, Tsuchigomori and Jun Wu). They will all be taking place in different sectors of Asgard. Characters will also get a chance to explore Asgard and dig up more of the Order's secrets.
After the plot is over, September is planned to be a chiller month and that'll also be the time when players can start to figure out what the future of the Order will look like.

To the side of the room there's a futon on the floor. Immaculately made, with a takamakura propped up against the wall.
In the middle of the room there is the beginnings of a half-made shikigami. The beast looks as if it was meant to be some sort of a mix between a bear and a bird, long, swallow-like wings folded up on the back of a compact, wide body. But there is notably no head, and the thing is hollow. There's a potted planter in the window with odd flowers in it, trumpet-like in shape and of several different colors. They haven't been watered in a while and have seen a better day.
There is a small personal library, a number of old books stored in it, as well as a number of trinkets that one can only guess that they are used for exorcisms, or perhaps trophies from past exorcisms. Among the books are journals, recording every single demon he'd ever exorcised and every single mission he'd successfully completed for the order. He keeps copies of his reports, apparently.
There's also a number of well-recorded itinerary of his travels around the world and...
...a number of journals with photographs in them, recording the different restaurants or tourist locations he'd gone to.
Honestly it's all pretty boring and written a bit arduously, with way too many descriptive words that super do not need to be there.
Along the wall there are a few weapons, mostly staves and staffs of some sort, some adorned with holy symbols, rings, or crystals; as well as a number of outfits hung up on bamboo poles to keep them neat and clean.
Alongside these are are also little boxes containing more white and black bells that he would attach into his hair. Nailcare. Hair care. There's so much fucking hairproduct in one of the drawers of his dresser. You could probably steal some and noone would care. Or notice.
There's a ton of his little paper curse slips. There's a desk where he clearly spent a lot of time crafting them, as well as other exorcism tools.
Somewhere in the room there's also a book about Abe no Seimei that's filled with rude notes about all the wrong information and several footnotes that just say petty things like 'this man sucks, he just sucks', etc.

Though there isn't a lot, she will find a few things in his space that talk more of Kieran than Cú himself. There's a framed small photo of a red-haired boy sitting in the lap of a very patient and elderly grandmother, and he looks delighted as she reads a book to him. She wears a trinity knot necklace, one that Ritsuka will find buried in a little wooden box left under a loose floorboard. In said box she'll also find the names of his parents in this life, with his father's name being circled several times- and the other, his mother's name, scratched out horrendously and repeatedly in pen. Tucked in under that is a folded newspaper clipping about a club incident that happened nearly twenty-five years prior, and attached to that is the obituary of his mother. The way the word LIAR is written in bold under her image speaks volumes on his feelings towards her overall.
Besides this, Cú didn't keep very much else in his space that was large or annoying. There are little trinkets of knives or sharp objects that look like Kieran used them as ways to test his own armor of Curruid, to see what would hurt him and what wouldn't. A few sheets and a pillow are tucked in a corner, but these were more for appearance than normal use.
All in all, his spot was very much his own spot, and while he didn't keep much here, the things that he did have were important to him all the same.

If Ash were to go through some of the journals most of them are expedition records yellow and faded with time, but one recent has notes on Ash himself and his former possessor. It's potential usefulness and his as a possible Zealot. Some notes on the bottom are scratched out and illegible. Some of the ones with less effort to scratch out, however, read things like "wonder if the kid'll be alright" and "kinda feels bad" in a few different languages including English and German.
The bed isn't made but it's just a run of the mill standard issue Black Order bed that seemed used only on occasion as if the man's passed out on it more often than slept on it. It has the faint smell of cigar smoke and alcohol as if he didn't even leave.
The main spot of interest is the work bench. On the wall it sat against there were recent weapon blueprints for swords, guns, axes, automatons, and everything of the like. He was truly a talented craftsman. Some half-finished projects lay scattered about along and beside the desk, tools strewn about randomly. What look to be shackles that were being prepared to enhance with some sort of magic, likely for capturing purposes.
Some of his more frenzied notes have the words "Monado" and "Lord Zanza" scribbled, but there's no indication on what either of those mean.
Besides that, there's nothing showing off any lingering attachment to people. No photos. No fondness. Only hints that something might have been there at some point, but never lasted. Much like the man himself.

Edea Kramer aka "The Sorceress"
Edea, the kindhearted person she was, used her extra time to do good for the world. As an adult, she'd travel Europe and would help children in need. Usually she'd work as a matron at orphanages until enough time pass that her lack of aging became suspicious- and she'd be forced to move to a different village. In secret, she'd teach kids adept with the supernatural how to use their powers... and if a witch hunt was going on, she'd do all she could to help people escape persecution.
Over the centuries, she met and got to know the other Unyielding. When they decided to form the Black Order, she was there from the beginning and helped form the foundation of the place. Many of the first Guardians were orphans that she helped raise, now fully grown and eager to help their beloved matron.
Unfortunately, possessions always have a price... and it turned out Edea's was a particular nasty one. The "angel" was actually an evil spirit named Ultimecia, who had used her time powers to foresee Edea's future hand in forming the Order. So after the Order was established, Ultimecia slowly began to take over Edea's mind. At first it'd be brief minute-long lapses. But over time, it grew longer. Edea, during lucid times, attempted to find ways to stop it, but it was to no avail.
Eventually, Edea lost her battle against Ultimecia and the spirit took over her body completely. She attempted to take over the Order from within, but her plot was eventually caught.
Knowing there was no way to save their old companion, Jun Wu took it upon himself to slay the sorceress in 1757.
Sosuke Aizen aka "The Shinigami"
However instead of moving on to the afterlife, Aizen's soul lingered as a Shinigami. It granted him abilities and immortal life, but because he was a spirit, he could only be perceived by those with supernatural abilities. He then wandered the world for many years.
When he first met the Unyielding, they welcomed the Shinigami and considered him a companion. He was considered a calm voice of reason that was well-respected. All of them had spent years creating false stories about themselves to blend in with mortals, so none of them lingered on Aizen's mysteries very long. They truly felt he had the same good intentions they held when they formed the Order.
In truth, Aizen was much more twisted than his surface personality led them to think. Perhaps it was the years of isolation caused by being a Shinigami, or perhaps he was always like this all along- it's impossible to say. He cared nothing for those around them, and was only interested in one thing: power.
As such, he became fixated on methods to increase one's true power, as well as possessions. In secret, he did heinous research and experiments on people he felt the other Order members would overlook. And for awhile, it worked.
However, unlike their companions, Kirei was not so easily fooled, as he could see in Aizen's eyes what he himself felt inside. He kept a quiet eye on Aizen, and when he felt like he had enough evidence to act against him without getting himself in trouble? He struck, and slayed the Shinigami in 1699.
The rest of the Unyielding were appalled when they learned the truth, and most of them voted to destroy any record of Aizen and his experiments to avoid such a thing from being repeated. Unfortunately, Tsuchigomori refused and insisted on preserving all records, regardless of their evils. As such, the research that Aizen did remained in the library.
Many centuries later, Georg Weissmann would come across Aizen's research. He copied the work while Tsuchigomori was away, and would later use the notes to begin the cult Krusnik in the late 20th century.

can March check on Homura's file in the library? to make sure she's okay and nobody's done anything to her or her friend. she might also want to check out Homura's room, too!
and for Percy, he'd like to know where to find these inventions that he apparently made in a past life, and if they have any blueprints his previous lives left behind. he wants to destroy them bc he does NOT want anyone to get hands on dangerous weapons he invented.
no subject
As for Percy, the locations and blueprints of any past inventions that are dangerous are currently sealed way by magical means in the library, as after the Weissmann situation the Order put heavy restrictions on the more dangerous stuff in the library. At most he can find the blueprints for some of the inventions that didn't work or.... were basically useless.
Homura's info will come later in a separate comment!

As far as her file goes, it mentions that she went missing after her assignment to Kaisou. They're certain she defected but given they were making war preparations, there's simply a note to go look for her later.

With regard to the log and Asgard in general there are a few things Wei Wuxian would seek out for general knowledge:
Is there more information to be found around the large purple dragon?
Are there methods in the library listed as to how they found the AUs who have files already and continued to recruit them in the past?
Are Jun Wu and Kirei Kotomine’s files readable after their defeat?
Does TBO have notes regarding studies, solutions, or any information that will give insight towards the Spirit Vein issue in Kaisou?
Is there a file on Willow and/or Giratina that shares anything we don't already know?
Are there any signs of the gods that inhabited Asgard?
And for his personal concern he'll try to find any notes on Xie Lian and more importantly and specifically, Lan Wangji. These don't have to be written mind you nor do Jun Wu or Kirei's, but he'd want to find them either way.
Purple Dragon
The Black Order has dealt with her a number of times, and even killed her a few times, but she always finds a way to pop back up. Ergo, they eventually came up with the plan to trap her in her dragon form and keep her under an enchanted sleep to keep her from causing more problems.
Now that the Unyielding are gone, it's up to the app users to decide what to do with her. They can choose to leave her to sleep, or try to find a more permanent solution. Please note that waking her WILL result in an optional boss fight using the dice system - so we asked this be done further down the line when there's less going on.

Basically the long and short of this is that it depends on the character! For some characters, they were able to find out specific triggers and/or have a decent estimate where they'd pop up for each reincarnation (for instance, a guardian named "Bruce" would always be born to rich parents and would always get his memories triggered by their deaths). These notes will be listed in their files, along with implications in a few that they definitely did what they could to uh... set off those specific triggers each life cycle.
However for others, it's a lot less clear as there's no one method that works perfectly, nor is it easy to predict where they'd reincarnate.
Basically, we're leaving it up to each player to decide this fact! If you want that to be listed or blame the Black Order for bad stuff that happened in their lives, that is totally plausible.

Is there a file on Willow and/or Giratina that shares anything we don't already know?
The short answer is: nothing that isn't already known to the player characters/POKEGO/Zodiac. It seems on this specific case, they were being truthful that they were helping out as much as they could. The Spirit Vein issue was as much of a concern to them as everyone else.
The Aesir Gods
Not in the library itself, no. According to the records, there's been no sightings of the Aesir gods since the Order moved into this realm. If the stories are true and some of the gods did survive Ragnarok, they've all abandoned Asgard and have moved onto another part of the Spirit Realm.
However, as a seasoned member of POKEGO whose no stranger to traversing the Spirit Realm, it won't escape Wei Wuxian that this realm seems much smaller than what one would expect a realm that once housed an entire pantheon of major gods. Mount Olympus for example is well known to be an entire mountain range - how could Asgard just be a single building?
Should anyone fancy a hike, they will find the answer. If you hike out for a mile past the training grounds, eventually they will come across a massive wall that was once built by the Aesir- and oddly has been maintained by the Black Order as well. Find a way to climb up the wall, and you'll find yourself faced with a strong magical barrier- an attempt to bar you from going any further.
Though all you'll need are eyes to see why. Past the barrier, is the battlefield where Ragnarok took place. Or rather, the devastation the divine war caused. What once was an idyllic norse paradise has been reduced to nothing but desolate wasteland. You can make out the fallen forms of giants, valkyries and lesser gods, who were all killed in the battle. Spots where gods fell in particular look closer to something you'd see from a bomb or a meteorite hitting the earth just from the radius of the destruction. In fact there seems to be massive chunks of the world that are now just completely gone.
All through this area, there is a haze of corrupted miasma that covers the land that comes from the bodies of the fallen gods. Occasionally, there's the crackling divine lightning that strikes whatever's around- thanks to now all the divine energy that exists in this realm without a god to control it.
Observing the barrier will make you realize that the barrier itself extends into the sky and eventually curves back over the habitable part of Asgard, covering it in a protective dome. It's then you realize.... Asgard wasn't always small, this is just the only part of the realm that's left
Please keep in mind that attempting to cross the barrier could result in severe and permanent consequences. Do so at your own risk.

Jun Wu: The Ghost General
Jun Wu was born in the year 180 AD in China. He was not only an accomplished general trusted by the Emperor, but also very well-liked and well-respected by the soldiers who served under him. There are several accounts that have survived from these soldiers that corroborate to this, talking about how he approved emergency discharge for a man whose wife was terribly sick or turning a blind eye to any women secretly enlisting. He was a true Daoist cultivator with inhuman strength, and people were certain that he was a breakthrough away from becoming an immortal. Jun Wu faithfully served to protect his country with a truly upright and moral spirit. In those days and at that time, there was nothing in his character to reproach.
However, that didn't stop others from conspiring against him in jealousy. There had been a successful slander campaign against him in the court, with enough fabricated and misleading evidence to see him dismissed as a general. They claimed that instead of protecting the people of China from danger, he had lead an unsanctioned attack on a nearby village. Not only was Jun Wu cast out of court, but he was also exiled from that kingdom entirely. This was how he awakened to his memories of his past life. By trying to protect his people, Jun Wu was instead condemned for it in both lifetimes through no fault of his own.
He spent centuries wandering China and protecting his people whenever he could. Whether it was from the shadows or in Imperial Court. When the Silk Road started opening up stable trade routes from East to West, Jun Wu began to gather like-minded people to form what would become known as the Eastern branch of The Black Order. During the Renaissance period, he met with people from the Western countries and began to fuse their two organizations into one. In those days, he had people he seemed to cherish as true friends, but one by one they were killed or went their separate ways. It was notable that he had a close friendship with Edea, and it was out of respect to his friend that he killed the demon that tried to use her face to destroy everything she tried to accomplish. Jun Wu was noted to have done a mourning rite that hasn't been in practice since the Three Kingdoms period in China.
However, it was clear that all this time had left him weary and unable to bend to the changing times like he used to. The good person he'd been at the beginning may have died either with Edea or maybe even earlier. The only other person he seemed to befriend was Tsuchigomori among The Unyielding. Jun Wu commented with some fondness that he was reminded of an old, old friend. The last notation was an observation of favoritism towards someone named Xie Lian, but no further elaboration.
