December Plotting & CR Post

Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for November!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up December 1st, with a midmonth post going up December 15th. The game wide event log will go up December 4th, and there'll be a formal dance log posted on December 10th, as well the the AU workshop on the same day.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month.
• Regains are now being once a day during mod office hours (2pm EST to 4pm EST). Please plan accordingly!
• If you haven't obtained your free gacha from the November Event, you have until the end of November to do so!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

• Doom and Robot Unicorn Attack are now available to play through the Libra App.
• A cabbage cart can be found in Kaisou. Prone to destruction.
• La Grand Bistrot, a french restaurant run by rats, is available on Shopping Street.
• There is another Goose.
• Turtleducks can now be found in Kaisou.
• Combat Shells can be used for practicing fighting now.
• The Birthday Skeleton is now here to give gifts on your character's birthday.
• The amusement park Phoenix Wonderland is now open!

Side quests
New Side Quests have been added for the month of December! Go ahead and sign up! If you haven't turned in quests for December gacha points, you can still do so until the end of the month! However, signing up for any November quests is now closed.

Holiday Points, New Powers, and New Feature: Monster Change!
Since it's the holidays, anyone who checks in to AC for November will receive double regain points (so 8 if you check in normally, and 4 if you hiatused) to spend in December! Additionally, anyone who apps will receive an extra 4 points upon approval.

Stumped on what to spend it on? Well fret not! The Elemental Power Page has been updated to add a bunch of new powers for the different elements. Check them out!

We are also excited to introduce a new option for players: Monster Changes! The exposure to the Spirit Realm has been already been causing powers to manifest this past year, but now for some it's starting to change them even further. Embrace your monster loving dreams and have your characters change into one of the many options. Characters are allowed to purchase 2 monster change features per month unless the character is either possessed of cursed, and then they can purchase 3. Read about it more on the elemental regain page!

Town Events
The entire town seems to have recovered from the sunless incident and things have become more peaceful! Normal NPCs will once again no longer notice supernatural oddities, and snow begins to fall at the beginning of December - winter is here baby.

Kaisou has gone into full holiday spirit mode. Basically like any town in the United States, holiday decorations are everywhere and you can't escape. However unlike every other town, some of the decorations are a little more enchanted. We got:

• Magic Mistletoe: Should a pair find themselves both underneath the mistletoe, they will feel a compulsion to display some kind of physical affection towards each other. It can be a classic kiss or a hug or headpat - play it out however you wish!


• Mistlefoe: It's like the mistletoe, except when you go under it you feel the compulsion to fight either verbally or physically with whoever is also underneath it.


• Enchanted Candy Canes: If an adult or teenager consumes one of these candy canes, they will become a kid. It's up to you if they have the mind and memories of a kid or not! The effect is temporary, lasting 1-3 days per candy cane consumed.


In addition, there will be a formal charity ball being run by Yoosung's family! All members of the Libra app will be invited, so dressed to the nines and dance the night away! There will be a separate event log posted for this written by Soap. Thank you for the event Soap!

IC Secret Santa
Sign-ups for IC Secret Santa are now closed! Assignments for secret santa are coming out as we speak. Please do your best to make sure your secret santa receiver gets their gift! You can thread something out or just comment to their inbox about what they received (or send them a message if they don't have an inbox).

ICly Secret Santa assignments will be going out December 1st along with the Zodiac post, so look forward to that!

Gate Event: Christmas Town
This month's gate will be Christmas Town from Nightmare Before Christmas. Go explore the great north pole and world responsible for bringing the holiday spirit every December! While it's a completely safe realm, any skeletons will need to be chaperoned while in certain parts of Christmas Town thanks to an incident some years past.

While in Christmas Town, you will be requested to help the elves out with the tasks needed to be done before Christmas! Should you do so, you'll be rewarded with a customized gift to give to someone else (as this is the season of giving). If you're interested, comment down below about the gift you're giving! Edit: To clarify, characters can only make one customized gift to give to another.

Overall this month is meant to be a fun and laidback month since we know December is a busy time of year for folks. So please relax and enjoy what you can. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Is there a limit for the elf rewards? Cause Luffy would totally do a bunch of random tasks to give his friends each a gift. (I'm thinking possibly 5 tasks in total, aka 5 gifts for other people)

So let me preface this by saying Amal is 100% going to help out around Christmas Town. However, in his year+ in Kaisou, he's heard that Santa knows when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake, and deduced that he must be some kind of god summoned by kids who want presents.

How would Santa respond to being asked for a duel? Politely, of course!

Each item can be attuned to one element and have up to two attribute from the element. The skills will only work if the item is being held/worn by the intended user.

Items can be anything that would reasonably exist in the world, so feel free to get creative! But also keep in mind it MUST be for another character, not your own!

Example: "Luigi got Mario a hat that has fire element attributes that'll keep him warm and shoot fireballs"

I am happy for him to be stuck under mistletoe OR mistlefoe- though lip kisses are reserved for Fern only, sorry folks. I won't be having him turn any younger (trust me, you do NOT want that) but I'm happy for him to deal with anyone younger suddenly thrust at him. Sucks to be a big brother sometimes, obviously. He'll be helping out the elves in Christmas town probably making some totally safe and not dangerous at all toys for the kids. He's a techie in the school play and has absolutely introduced fire to the production.

Is probably headed straight for a superhero career, but is (badly) attempting to avoid that.

Event Plans:
SO, Danny's seventeenth birthday is December 20. To celebrate that (and try to get some distance from the holiday) he'll be inviting all his friends over for a bad movie and video game party the first week of December. Basically if you're a teenager and on friendly terms with Danny, you're invited.

For the winter musical at school Danny has volunteered for props and tech crew, so he'll be hanging out there. And also carrying around a fire extinguisher. Because he talked to Varian about the special effect plans and he has Concerns.

On December 20 Danny will get to meet the birthday skeleton. Currently the plan is to get him his first item regain for that. The Fenton Thermos. Danny will be very confused.

Chances are good that Danny will get a memory regain of his canon Christmas Episode this month... and will promptly attempt to avoid all Christmas areas after that. He will definitely attempt to avoid the ball. Friends are welcome to drag him along anyway.

Danny is available for side quests.

Anything else?
Danny will likely still be dealing with some of the fallout from the last few months. He's still very stressed about friends safety, and very prickly about certain topics involving morality and inevitability, but is bottling this up. This ended in him passing out during the fight in last month's event. He has learned nothing.

Event Plans: Souta probably won't be at the ball unless someone brings him. However, he will be doing Secret Santa and definitely visiting Christmas town. I'm open for the magic mistletoe. He's also 14, so while smooches aren't off the table, I'd say keep it chaste? Romance goes right over the poor boy's head. Please no fighty him, he is smol and easily scared... and also scary powerful if he gets proper upset.

About: The youngest member of a group of sweepers (professional bounty hunters). Her transforming powers make her a surprisingly formidable foe, despite her relative lack of experience. She spent her early childhood as the prototype bio-weapon for a black market weapon's dealer, so easing into normal life has been... interesting. Very curious about the world around her, Eve spends most of her time reading or people watching.
Event Plans: Eve wants to go to the ball! The last fancy event she snuck into ended in a dinosaur battle and no feast for her. She wants to see the feast at last! I'm open to mistletoe and mistlefoe (keep the mistletoe child-friendly tho, she has smacked people with a hammer for less). The Secret Santa will baffle her, but less so after the Christmas Town. Kid's first Christmas, so feel free to tell her all about it.
Anything else? Permission post for recognizing killers. If your character has killed a lot of people, she might notice they are like her. Also hoping to do some Sidequests.

He comes across as a bit arrogant or awkward, depending on who he's talking to, but he's a decent guy.
Event Plans: Cale will definitely be doing the ball.

Magic mistletoe, yes please. Especially loved if it's extra awkward because he will do anything in his power to avoid touching others. Nothing personal, just who are you and why are you in his personal space??

Mistlefoe, another maybe, he's not really the physical fighting type but I'm down for some verbal sparring. He isn't as good at it as he thinks he is.

Also down for CR or sidequests! He really wants to do the kindergarten one, he's a sucker for romance (other people's, at least) and has a soft spot for kids. Also kind of wants to help the elves with their union.

She'll be visiting the rat run Le Grand Bistro, she'll be trying to keep a turtleduck as a pet and visiting the theme park until she finds out about the Christmas Town. At that point just TRY to keep her from going to that place, she'll be running errands, caroling and probably be in her best spirits here!

Event Plans: Dolores will be going to the ball because it sounds fun, though she'll be self-conscious about not having anything to donate. She'll probably venture into the Gate because she needs something to do and being at home is a downer. Definitely here for cute mistletoe stuff! Looking at you Cale.

Actually nicer than he appears, if you don't mind taking the time to get to know him a little (and that, I'm afraid, is not easy... but not impossible!). Doesn't suffer fools and tends to teleport out of uncomfortable conversations/arguments. Hopelessly in love with Zagreus and hasn't told him yet.
Event Plans: He's not going to be entertaining the idea of a ball unless Zagreus bothers him into going, mostly because he dislikes crowds and partly because he never gets invited to parties so why would he assume he's welcome at this one. I welcome any cute mistletoe shenanigans bc he needs to loosen up. That said if you wanna fight him then let's go.
