November Plotting & CR Post

Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for November!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up November 1st, with a midmonth post going up November 15th. The game wide event log will go up November 4th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month.
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

• The Last Stand, a food cafe in University district that serves actually good Sharlayan food.

Side quests
New Side Quests have been added for the month of November! Go ahead and sign up! If you haven't turned in quests for October gacha points, you can still do so until the end of the month! However, signing up for any October quests is now closed.

Town Events
As mentioned before, by the end of the October, the sun will no longer rise within Kaisou. This will continue through the first half of November through the conclusion of the November event, where the sun will very slowly begin to show up again throughout the second half of the month. This also applies to the stable realms (aka Kanto and Stardew Valley). Best invest in sunlamps before they sell out!

NPCs are going to continue noticing strange things, and there is a growing sense of panic due to you know, the sun being gone. This effect will also slowly go away once the November plot concludes.

The monster-filled tears from October will also continue. But not only those kinds of tears, as OU Labyrinths that OU characters first arrived in can also reappear and be available for other people to see. These labyrinths can be exactly how they appeared in the app, OR they can be modified to reflect any growth/changes the character has had since they arrived in Kaisou to their overall mindset. How they are modified are completely up to players!

Finally during the first half of November, AU characters will witness signs of the dead coming to visit them, either from people who have passed in this lifetime, or people who passed in their previous life. These visits can either be positive or negative, depending on the nature of the relationship.

Free Gacha + Another Treat
During the month of November, every character will get 3 free gacha pulls! New items have been added to the gacha pool, so check it out. In addition to the gacha pull, every character will receive a random Yu-Gi-Oh card that they'll be able to use in November's event realm only. Characters will gain either summonable companion or a special ability based on the card given to them.

If you wish to redeem your gacha and Yu-Gi-Oh card, comment down below to the gacha comment with your character! Players can deem free gacha pulls until November 30th!

Gate Event: Duat
For this month's event, characters will be traveling to Duat, the Ancient Egyptian Underworld! Characters will be traveling through Duat in hopes of solving a dilemma that has caused the sun to go away. While there, characters will also be encountering Yu-Gi-Oh cards, snakes, makeovers, snakes, cats, snakes, being Judged, and snakes. In other words, this is your warning that this plot will contain snakes.

It should also be noted that any character that gets any powers directly from the God featured in the Abrahamic faiths (aka Christianity, Judaism and Islam) or any of His servants (angels, etc) will be unable to use those abilities while in this particular realm. This does not apply to any fallen angels, demons, or characters with Kaisou-original Light Elemental powers (though light powers will be weakened overall due it being a shadow month). Characters who go into the realm with open signs of worship of Him will be allowed in but might get a fair amount of stink-eye. Apparently you can't drop ten plagues on folks without them getting salty over it. Lame.

Nice!! It's Luca's birthday this month too and Alberto had a GREAT birthday for the first time in his life lol, so he'll be keen to party plan and get festive. lmk if you wanna use his enthusiasm for any plans of your own, happy to be a pawn!

GOOD cuz Alberto was of the same mind, didn't mention it to even Luca until the night before his birthday... then Luca made his birthday the most fantastic birthday ever totally on the fly just by getting more excited about it than Alberto was. And now Alberto's like "oh ok, birthdays are GREAT" haha so he'd be keen to try and pull the same for Luisa, I think. use him as a playable piece in your plans however you need. :) he can be the over-enthusiastic mouthpiece lmao

also I actually love doing movie night threads so if you want this AND the turtleducks lol, I'd be down... ; ω ;

Aww that's so sweet! And yeah, I think Luisa probably wouldn't say anything, and wouldn't expect others besides her family to really celebrate, so Alberto doing anything for her would be a nice surprise!

hmm well the Madrigals have a real TV with real modern TV features
and the boys have this and are restricted to movies printed on VHS tapes lmao... so that rules out pretty much anything made in the past 15-20 years lol?

so I guess maybe it depends on what we want them to watch haha.
which I'm totally down to do a real movie with a silly name lol I enjoy movie night logs if only for that. Zuko became a movie buff in Prisma and he loved Kill Will, Mad Matt: Rage Road, The Shimmer, lmao... so that's always fun for me idk. but also in Kaisou they probs can watch real-real movies too if we wanted, like Roman Holiday or musicals or so aren't so easily spoof-able hehe.

Alberto's got a small collection of video tapes but there's also a Blockbuster in town now lol. He knows he loves cinema from his time, 50s and 60s, and they've watched a few documentary series like Carl Sagan's Cosmos, but he and Luca watch the same stuff over and over (cuz lol that's what having a VCR is like, the good ole days) so they're not super branched out yet.

Has Luisa explored her movie tastes much so far? What kind of stuff do you think she'd like?

lol That's a good point. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if Luisa has really explored a lot of movie options. She's probably watched some TV, but I'm not sure she's really just sat down to watch movies outside of with her family, so I don't think she's really developed too many preferences yet. I could see her liking a few romances, though I doubt that'd really appeal to Alberto lol

She would probably also be down for family movies, so this universe's Disney or whatever (I wanna call it Gisnep, just because of how the logo always used to look to me haha), so maybe something along those lines?

whaaat Alberto would love romance movies, haha! He's just not been properly exposed to romance as, like, a concept yet, so he hasn't discovered romance movies, but he'd definitely enjoy. Right now I play it that his favorite movie is Roman Holiday, which isn't very romance-heavy, but there's a kiss scene and tension, plus he likes so many operas which are just full of over-the-top romantic pining lol, so he's like. Vaguely Aware of what makes something romantic? He'd still enjoy the drama, and I think he's a romantic at heart once he gets more in tune with this stuff — which does need to happen, frankly, slowly but surely. So I'd be down for a romance movie for sure.

But I'd be just as down for a Gisnep movie tho lol cuz there's an excellent cheekiness in us doing that too hehehe... Meta-Disney. We could do a spoof of a more romantic Disney movie maybe? Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, and the Little Mermaid (for obvious reasons lol) come to mind hehe
