Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for April!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up April 1st, with a midmonth post going up April 15th. There will be a player-run event log that'll be posted April 15th! There is no scheduled mod run event this month
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
- If you haven't gotten your free gacha for March, you have until the end of office hours on March 31st to do so!
World Changes

Faction Updates
POKEGO: POKEGO you're probably going to be busy this month with assisting Dan Heng aka Maple. However for those of you who are not busy with that, they will probably notice the sizable jungle that has appeared on the southern outskirts of town. These jungles will be explored more later, but early surveys can certainly take place if desired!

Zodiac: It's Easter season, so several of you will be forced to take part in a Zodiac sponsored Easter egg hunt in Blue Fish Lake Park. There will be two types of easter egg hunts- one for children and one for adults. The adult one will allow anyone to take part! Jax, per usual, will be forced into the role of the easter bunny. However sometimes you swear you will see another rabbit hiding chocolate eggs or staring at everyone from a distance with malice. However he will leave anytime you try to get near.
Black Order: The Black Order will have a side mission! With Sabo and Ace taking off, they unfortunately forgot to return the Jumanji game board and it has been activated in Hyrule. As such, some members of the Black Order will be tasked to collect it even though it means doing a second run of the game. This will most likely be handwaved (unless people decide otherwise - in which the mods will happily provide the jumanji gamekits), and will be treated as an excuse to opt out some characters from the main event.
City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:
- It will be a Earth Element month! This means the Earth element will be stronger, while the Water element will be weaker. Weather wise, spring has fully sprung! The temperatures are extremely comfortable and the weather itself is very pleasant. In addition, the flowers and plants will be in full bloom- almost extremely so thanks to the overabundance of the Earth element in play.
- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of grass, ground, and rock-type pokemon! If you're hoping to catch pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten. Any tera raid battles will also be most likely against Grass, Ground, or Rock type Pokemon- so prepare accordingly!
- At the Pokemon Contest Hall, this month will host a Grass-type PokΓ©mon Celebration! The contests during this month will be themed around grass PokΓ©mon. There will be beauty competitions that focus on how you best trim your grass-type pokemon, a floral arrangement competition where you make bouquets that pokemon would enjoy, and a landscaping competition where you are asked to landscape a small area to best serve pokemon needs.
- While the Zodiac sponsored Easter egg hunt will be centered in Blue Fish Lake Park, characters may find chocolate easter eggs throughout the city. Or if they are particularly unlucky, they may catch a glimpse of Zipper T. Bunny from a distance- always disappearing if you try to get near. Characters with Misfortune will find these occurrences with much more frequently, with the Agapov home basically getting a constant stream of eggs.
These will be starting up at the start of the month. Please note, there won't be any mod run event logs on these events, so feel free to make your own posts on it!
Monthly Event: The Permanence's Graveyard
This month will not have a mod-run event, as we want it to be a month that focuses on player events! So if you have a small-scale thing you wish to do with your characters, this is a good opportunity!
That being said, a major event that will be taking place this month is Dan Heng's possession issues will be coming to a head. Dan Heng has had a possession with Vritra, the personification of drought. This possession has been getting increasingly unstable, and it will result in Dan Heng being dragged into the Spirit Realm. As such, folks interesting in helping out will have to venture into the spirit realm to help defeat Vritra and rescue Dan Heng-- while also getting exposed to memories and insights on Dan Heng's past. Needless to say, this plot will contain spoilers for Honkai Star Rail as well as as contain discussion and/or depictions of the following content warnings: death, implied torture, imprisonment and disturbing imagery.

- Phoenix Feather + Healing Item = You are capable of reviving the dead as long as they they've died within the last day, have a body left to resurrect, didn't die of natural causes, and isn't a death that's necessary for the plot. In addition, you can only revive one person per month.
- Elemental-Infused Item + Anything else that's not volatile = Lowers the elemental resistance of a target for a period of time. If hit, you have -2 on your rolls defending against the element that the item was aligned with.
- Elemental-Infused Item + Volatile Items = Creates an elemental based explosion.

- La Crest: Increase durability/pain tolerance by 25% of four people for 5 minutes. Moderate energy drain. If you get hit by an attack, roll a 1d20 and if you roll above a 5, you can withstand the hit and still act normally (versus rolling 10 or above without the spell)
- La Forte: Boosts the strength of up to 4 people by a moderate amount for 5 minutes. Moderate energy drain. When used, affected characters will gain a +2 on any rolls that involve physical strength for five tags.
REGULAR QUARTZ:
- Diabolos Gem - Cast time is reduced by 50%. After you cast a spell, roll a 1d20. If you roll above a 10 or higher, you can launch a second attack.
- Nightmare III - When you attack you have a 20% of triggering Nightmare status, which traps enemies in their worst nightmares for 5 minutes and then inflicts a random status effect. (this does not work on player characters/Major NPCs unless there's explicit permission) If you get hit by someone with this quartz, roll a 1d20. If you roll 4 or lower, you will obtain Nightmare status for 3 tags or until someone wakes you.
- Earth Pulse - Grant one person temporary regeneration power for 5 minutes. Can heal moderate injuries. Small energy drain.
- Shield Breaker 3 - When facing an armored opponent, your hits have a 30% chance of cracking that armor. If you get hit by someone with this quartz, roll a 1d20. If you roll 6 or lower, any armor you have is now cracked.

β Lightbringer: Summoning Lightning Lord Jing Yuan deals strong lightning damage to the enemies before him.
β Prana Extirpated: Upon entering combat Jing Yuan begins to store up energy with every attack he lands, after enough attacks hit (10 stacks) he is able to summon Lightning Lord to expel that built up energy in an attack that deals lightning damage to the enemies closest to where the blade pierces the ground.

β Regeneration (High): Cuts and bruises heal within minutes, more severe injuries within two hours. Can survive fatal injuries and fully heal within 1-2 days. Cannot regrow limbs
β Healing (Master): Able to heal severed limbs and mortal injuries.
β Luck (Medium): Your luck is improbably high. +2 to all actions that require a dice roll.
β Conjure Light (Medium): Summon a basketball size ball of light.
β Luck Bringer (Medium): People within your immediate vicinity will gain extra luck, giving them each a +2 to rolls.
β Spear of Lightning: The body becomes as straight as a spear and will throw itself at enemies, exploding on impact with a mass of lightning.
β Teleportation (Medium); Can teleport to places they've been before with other people (up to 3).
β Lightspeed (Low); Can move at the speed of light for 1 second increments. Gain a +4 to any speed rolls. Can only use it twice per fight without consequence. After that, your limbs start burning.
β Conjure Lightning (Master); Can create a large bolt of lightning.
KAISOU GEAR;
Thin Black Choker From Blade; Diamond Skin (Medium), You can turn your skin to be tough as diamonds for thirty seconds. Doing it multiple times will tire you out. You can make your skin diamonds for a single tag regardless of how many blows hit you UNLESS it's a nat 20 attack from any element that isn't water. You can then roll how bad the damage is.

β BLOOD CRYSTAL MANIPULATION; He uses them in the most basic of attacks ( vow of voyage ) as well as slightly more complicated attacks ( cage of broken lace ). He is able to boost his abilities further by consuming his own life force to make more explosives attacks against his opponents ( deaths are legion, regrets are none / kingslayer be king / godslayer be god / throne of bones ).
β BLOOD FOR BLOOD; The longer Mydei is in active combat every time he is hit or attacks he accumulates points (5 for attacking, 10 for being hit) until he reaches a total of 50. Once 50 points are hit Mydei will enter the Vendetta state, in this state his attacks become more reckless giving him advantage on his attacks but also providing his opponents advantage on their attacks against him. Additionally, while in Vendetta opponents must roll a DC 5 (DC will increase by 2 each of Mydei's turn after he enters the Vendetta state) saving throw or be drawn to attack only Mydei.
β IMMORTALITY, full: Mydei is canonically known for his immortality, specifically his inability to die when struck down. It is important to note that he can be struck down however he keeps getting back up regardless of the injury. The only way to actually kill him is to strike him in his Tenth Thoracic Vertebrae, if he is struck anywhere else he will simply get back up again and again and again.
KAISOU ABILITIES;
Element: Fire (primary) / Earth (secondary)
β Sturdy, Medium: Very hard to knock over, regardless of weight. If you fail a defense roll on an attack that could result in knockback, your character will not be knocked back unless you rolled 2 or lower.
β Temporary Super Strength (High): Temporary super-strength boost (10 minutes, 20x the strength of an average person). For 10 tags, you get +6 to any strength based moves.
FLAW;
β Berserker (Medium); When injured, you grow aggressive and reckless. Anytime you receive a hit, roll a 1d20. If you roll below a 5, you fly into a rage.
β Aggravated Wounds (Low); Healing Magic is slightly less effective on you.
