Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for February!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up February 1st, with a midmonth post going up February 15th. There will be a mod-run event log that'll be posted February 15th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

• Crystal Tower gained a fantasy Costco!
• Fortress of Meropide has a pool and hot tub!
• The Animal Shelter and Zodiac building both got nice new paint jobs!
• The Zodiac Apartments now have a rooftop garden and greenhouse!
• The Bean and the False Bean are now in Kaisou.
• Chaos Mirage Element Gem and EP Cut 3 are now available for free!

Faction Updates
POKEGO: Frankly between Lauma and Jun going missing and Varian quickly turning to coping via robot army, you guys will probably be busy with that.

Zodiac: Congrats for once none of your faction has been kidnapped! This is a proud moment for Zodiac. However there will be a Valentine's Day office potluck, so you can't win it all.

Black Order: So, you guys are having a real problem. Investigations into the REUNION will reveal that the cult is a front for a group of shady researchers led but none other than Professor Hojo, who disappeared around the time of the Black Order rebellion. You guys will be receiving orders to eliminate Hojo as well as his entire group.

City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:

- It will be a Fire Element month! This means the Fire element will be stronger, while the Wind element will be weaker. Weather wise, while it's still winter, the fire element has brought it back to much more bearable temperatures. You can also expect a lot more sunny days. Basically it'd be a great time for winter sports.

- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of fire, fighting, and steel-type pokemon! If you're hoping to catch pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten. Any tera raid battles will also be most likely against Fire, Fighting or Steel type Pokemon- so prepare accordingly!

- At the Pokemon Contest Hall, this month will be a Baking Competition! Contestants are asked to bake pokemon-themed treats. There are two categories: baked goods that resemble Pokémon where contestants will be graded on taste and presentation; and baked goods that can be fed to Pokémon where they will be graded on nutrition, presentation, and how well the Pokémon taste testing judges like them.

- With this being the month of Valentine's Day, you better believe stores around Kaisou will be full of romantic-based deals! Score some couples dinners, or maybe pick up some potions for the bedroom from Undertown. Please note that while there are a lot of erotic potions available- love potions are considered taboo with most vendors and paranormal folks.

These will be starting up at the start of the month. There won't be any mod run event logs on these events, so feel free to make your own posts on it!

Monthly Event: The Crystal Tower
Starting this week, characters will be disappearing from the city. It will start with characters who might easily go missed, but as we step into February, it'll be clear to characters that something is wrong.

The characters who are disappearing are:

These characters will be out of touch from communication both through phone and through magic until the rescue log. However if you have a wellness tracker for any of them, you'll be able to sense their general state of being (but not their location).

As it turns out, these characters have been abducted the former Black Order member Professor Hojo and his group of like-minded scientists who wish to experiment on various characters for their own goals. In the middle of February, it will be revealed to the app users that the Hojo's lab is in the Basement of the Crystal Tower which had been sealed off up until this point.

From there, it'll be up to Libra App users to raid the facility, rescue their friends, and deal with this villains once and for all. Please expect obstacles, monsters, and various content warnings involving human experiments.

In addition, thanks to Hojo's experiments, there will be optional boss battles for people to participate in against Dante, Veldora, Jin. You can sign up for those below!

About: Spicy career badass who thinks aliens are cool, loves fish, and was much more ready to go throw a punch at someone than she was to have it revealed to her that the power of god and anime was not only on her side, but also that magic is real, and there's a multiverse. She is coping pretty well, all things considered, particularly given that she does not know what is happening at all.
Event Plans: I'm not 100% sure, I'll be honest! Right now she has no power greater than a high tolerance for pain and violence and the ability to be a gun owner, which isn't nothing, but it seems a little bit underwhelming compared to people who can kickbox satan and shoot laser beams out of their nostrils. I think she would want to help, but probably would also hold back so long as things seem to be going to plan?
Some potentially fun ideas:
- Maybe do some cool I got this moment with someone, when it looks like she does not got this, except it turns out she does?
- A bonding moment where someone else does a cool superpower and she's like "Okay well that's the obvious tactic. Anybody could have done that." (she could not have done that)
- Save her life from a monster and when she says she did not need saving, start keeping track of how many times you save her life, and use it as a running gag that starts off annoying and eventually transitions into a friendly kind of obnoxious ribbing
- Someone is telling her that she should probably not be here, bc it's dangerous and she has no powers, and then she lifts her gun and shoots at you but OH SHIT she actually shot the spooky monster who was right behind you, saving your life, and then she says a cool one liner, and the conversation continues from there
- Maybe your apartment is full of monsters now and you need a place to crash??? Slumber party at Shepard's apartment!!! (yay!)

About: Zarina is one of the survivors from dbd. She's gone through Some Shit, escaped the entity's universe (AU) and is now trying to be normal as possible while trying to find a way to break her new friends out of the entity's grasp. She's good with repairing diesel generators, novice field medicine, and being a journalist. While she doesn't have any super powers, she's stubborn and wants to make sure that she does what she can to help the 'good' side win.

Event Plans: Nothing set in stone yet. If there's a need for it, I did think about her having some sort of area set up to get basic wounds taken care of (I know there are healers, but this is something Zarina could do to help) before getting back out to helping or back to fighting. She also has some shadow stealth powers. If anyone has a space she could fill, let me know!

About: Lady Goldweaver, although with no memories of being said Heir. Living a peaceful life with her seamstress work and her research with PokeGo. She will be starting to remember her past life and getting her original powers back soon though. But for now, she's the chill mom type.

Event Plans: Panicking over Lauma and trying to find her. Helping Ratio keep Varian targeting the bad guys with the mechs. Other than that, probably providing back up for the fighters as best as she can, or helping people escape. She has a few Pokemon who can help with that.

About: Audrey is your typical college student, but not. She's new to the paranormal side of the city, but she's getting used to it. She's getting some of her uma things back this month: speed/strength and her ears and tail, and she will use that to help as much as she can. She can carry a human easily, and umamusume can run up to 3x faster than humans. She can get someone out of dodge FAST.

Event Plans: Nothing yet. But, she's not a super hero and doesn't have super powers, so she'll be on a support line. She can also be a runner (bad pun, I know).
