Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for January!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up January 1st, with a midmonth post going up January 15th. There will be no mod made event log, but there will be two major player plot events happening during the month- one taking place near the start of the month while the other will be taking place in the middle of the month.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
World Changes
- Crystal Tower gained a lounge!
- Fortress of Meropide gained a hotel wing!
- Dromas, Coal Tars, Veluza, Treecko, and Omanyte are now found in Kaisou!
- Meow Tower is now available on the Libra App!
- The Spirit Realm Express is now in service!

Faction Updates
POKEGO: This month, some of you guys are going on a field trip! The search for the Herba Mystica will continue, with a group of characters heading to Barcelona in Spain to visit the Paldea region! There, they hope to re-establish the connection between that realm and the Kitakami region in order to re-energize the Tera Crystals.

Zodiac: With the holidays over, it's a pretty quiet time of year for you guys. You'll be asked to help out with the Winter Carnival. Though weirdly, your job board has been getting a few weird requests from a group called "The REUNION" that just have a really shady vibe to them. It won't make it through the scam filters, but it's still weird.
Black Order: Yeah so speaking about that REUNION group. It's a small time group that are sending fliers around various parts of town and if you do any digging, has a real cult vibe to it. While it's not unusual for small cults to pop up here and there in the US...They will draw the Black Order's attention when during some point in the month, they will start getting reports that people who took up those odd jobs or recruits? Have never returned home. Further details of this investigation will be revealed at a later time.
City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:
- It will be a Water Element month! This means the Water element will be stronger, while the Fire element will be weaker. Weather wise, it's going to be deep winter. The temperatures will be consistently well below freezing with a couple weeks of below zero temperatures, and there will be lots of snow on top of it. Truly, water months are Something.
- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of water, ice, and poison-type pokemon! If you're hoping to catch pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten.
- At the Pokemon Contest Hall, this month will be a Snow Sculpture Competition! Make a snowman that looks like your Pokémon! Contestants are scored on their teamwork skills with their Pokémon, and the final result. Those who use an Voltrob or other purely spherical Pokémon without any extra embellishments will get a sad looking participation ribbon. This is also the month where the annual Spheal Roll-Out race takes place! Watch as Spheals roll down a track on Dragonspine Mountain to victory!
- This month will contain a Supermoon during the dates of January 2nd to January 4th. Due to it being a supermoon, the pull of the full moon will feel stronger than usual! Play with that as you will.
- The annual Winter Carnival will be in full swing in Blue Fish Park throughout the month! Characters can enjoy taking part of various fun winter activities such as snowball fights, snowman building competitions, and ice fishing. There is also a full ice palace that people can check out!
These will be starting up at the start of the month. There won't be any mod run event logs on these events, so feel free to make your own posts on it!
Monthly Events: Player Plots!
This month, there won't be any official mod run plots. HOWEVER, we got two major player plots that will be going on this month! In the meantime, characters are welcome to get into their own drama! The two plots are as followed
TRAVEL TO SPAIN: For the past several months, characters have been investigating potential locations of Herba Mystica. As of this month, they will finally decide the best course of action is to travel to Spain and try to connect the Paldea Spirit Realm with the Kanto Spirit Realm using Arceus's magic. This however means getting a giant Llama to Spain. As such, characters are welcome to join a trip to Spain in which they can spend some time in Spain and also spend time in the Paldea realm. While this is a POKEGO heavy plot, it is open to any character who has been invested in this plot (or just wants to go to Spain). ICly, this will be happening in the first half of January!
SAVING MARCH 7TH: As some has noticed, March 7th has been acting differently... or rather a lady named Evernight has been acting in her place. As it turns out, the real March 7th got lost in the Spirit Realm during the course of her canon update. As such, characters will need to traverse into a special spirit realm in order to save her! This will work much like the possession rescue logs, in which they'll be exposed to a spirit realm that reflects March's inner turmoil. Expect puzzles and boss fights! While this plot is geared for March 7th, it's also open to anyone who wishes to just help out! ICly, this will be happening in the second half of January (so around the weekend of January 17th)!
Interest check sign ups for both these plots are down below! These interest checks will mostly help us figure out how to scale these plots. And don't worry, since they are happening during different times of the month, some characters will be able to participate in BOTH if they desire!
