Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for October!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up October 1st, with a midmonth post going up October 15th. There will be one event log, that'll be posted October 15th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
• If you have not gotten your free gacha from September, you have until 9/30 at the end of office hours to do so!

World Changes

• Kwehpo Ride Services will now give lifts around town and stable gates!
• Furyhorn, Tandemaus, and Chimera are now around Kaisou
• The Pokemon Contest Hall is open for monthly competitions!
• Suika Game is now available on the libra app
• Mora is now an accepted form of currency in Kaisou, with the exchange range being 1 mora = 0.02 USD.

Faction Updates
POKEGO: This month, POKEGO will be approached about herba mystica, a rare special plant in the pokemon realms (though it's easiest to find in the Pokemon realm in Barcelona). This will kick off an optional mission in which characters are encouraged to search the realm for the plant (it's extremely rare so chances are not good), as well as possibly plan a trip to Spain to gather it. The trip itself will happen in November, but players and characters can take their time planning things out with this. Please note that non-POKEGO characters will be welcomed to take part of this!

Zodiac: Several Zodiac employees will go missing from a team-building exercise go wrong. It's possible your character has been tasked to find them.... or it's possible your character has been assigned to work the haunted house that Zodiac is running.

Black Order: More information for you guys will come at a later time, but it will involve investigating the latest incidents. Since the Muses know that the recent incident at the library involved a former member of TBO, they will allowed continue access to the library for Black Order members and their allies for this month. The gate will be moved to the Black Order headquarters, specifically this library. Again, more information shall be coming at a later date.

City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:

- It will be a Earth Element month! This means the Earth element will be stronger, while the Water element will be weaker. Weather wise, while the temperatures will continue in comfortable autumn temperatures. The trees will also be turning into the fantastic shades of autumn colors.

- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of grass, ground, and rock-type pokemon! If you're hoping to catch pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten.

- At the Pokemon Contest Hall, this month there will be a costume competition! In the spirit of Halloween, contestants are asked to dress up Pokémon in their best Halloween costumes and are judged on various criteria.

- Also in the spirit of Halloween, Zodiac will be running a Haunted House! This Haunted House will have two sides of it. The general public side, which will be the very typical standard haunted house gimmicks- while the basement side will continue (HARMLESS) tricks and scares that will be fueled by magic to make it all the more believable!

- This month will contain a Supermoon during the dates of October 5th to October 7th. Due to it being a supermoon, the pull of the full moon will feel stronger than usual! Play with that as you will.

- Also October means we're entering the season of Samhain. This is a yearly occurrence during this time of year when the barrier between the Spirit Realm and Earth start to thin. This means during this month, Normal NPCs will be able to notice supernatural things. They will realize your wolf ears are not a headband, or that you didn't dye your hair pink. They will be prone to asking questions, or panicking- be sure to watch out for that!

- Finally, Spirit Halloween is now officially open for business in numerous places around the city! There is even a Spirit Halloween in one of the unused areas of the Fortress of Meropide. Truly the wonders of Spirit Halloween.

These will be starting up at the start of the month. There won't be any mod run event logs on these events, so feel free to make your own posts on it!

Spirit Realm Event: Omatsuri Carnival
This month will bring the Omatsuri Carnival to El Nido, which has taken over the beach resort gate. Characters will be pointed towards a carnival which has opened up in the beach spirit gate - one that people are not returning from. Once they arrive, they will find they are unable to leave. Going further into a gate they will find a fantastic carnival, full of rides, delicious park food, a hotel to sleep in and lots of carnival games, all run by a man named Baron Omatsuri- a man with a strange little flower on his shoulder.

Unfortunately, all is not what it appears, as something within the carnival is fraying relationships - and some people seem to be completely vanishing. It will be up to the characters to figure out where people are vanishing to, and to unlock the mystery that's tearing relationships apart in this carnival.

In other words, in this plot characters will experience things that are intent to drive wedges between their relationships. If their relationships are successfully frayed or they are otherwise separated from the group, they will be captured and killed (they will get revived at the end of the plot!). While deciding to participate in this plot, please be mindful that this plot will contain mental manipulation and gaslighting, strained relationships between CR, characters acting out of norm due to external factors, hallucinations/illusions, physical injury, and death.

If you wish to participate in this plot, please sign up with your characters down below! Once you do, the mods will do RNG to determine if they survive the plot, or get separated and die. You can volunteer to have your character kick the bucket too, if that's what you wish. Sign-ups will be open until October 10th.

If you wish to have your character participate but they aren't the type to go through a gate willingly, we can have them wake up on the island magically.

The spirit realm log will be going up on October 15th. Please note we are not having a lighter event log this year due to mod work/time restraints, but players who wish to not participate in the horror plot are free to engage with any of the above mentioned City events or their own plots!

Mods will then determine if your character shall survive or die this plot, and it'll be up to you to plot from there! While you can request for a guarantee death, you cannot request for a guarantee survive.

Characters who die will be revived at the end of the plot. Due to the nature of this plot and the abundance of death, we ask that no characters under the age of 16 sign up for this plot unless otherwise approved by the mods.

About: Kaisou's resident newspaper reporter (college level) and anonymous gossip mag runner. Can also repair a diesel engine while killers try to take her out. She's trying to be a normal young adult after being in the Entity's realm for a while, and she ended up here. She's normally in a good mood, even with the survivor's guilt over her head.

Event Plans: None so far. I'm keeping Zarina out of the horror plot because she's relatively new and I am a wimp still.
