Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for September!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up September 1st, with a midmonth post going up September 15th. There will be one event log, that'll be posted September 15th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
• Please remember to submit any threads for August Danger Realms by the end of the month if you wish to get extra points!

Faction Updates
POKEGO: Unfortunately, due to POKEGO being full of creatives and research types- you're going to be hit particularly hard by the inspiration curse. Many of you will feel obsessive about your research or current projects, frequently failing to take care of yourselves (more than usual). And of course, access to the Library of Alexandria will probably mean we won't see most of you for the rest of the month. Have fun and please try to sleep! As always, you can check out updates to the PICHU facility here and information about Cygnus Academy here.

Zodiac: While September is the calm month before the holiday storm, there is still plenty of work to be done. Zodiac employees will be asked to pick out empty retail buildings and set up summoning circles that will be meant to activate on October 1st. Turns out, this is how Spirit Halloween comes into being in Kaisou. It's up to you guys where Spirit Halloweens will arise this year.

Black Order: Last month, the Black Order was able to successfully collect the Jumanji games and learned that they were actually created by an Undertown merchant named Garfield (who you killed). This month, while the inventory and research are still going on, they will discover that one of the items missing from the collection was a powerful ring that turns one invisible (no, not That ring). While this will certainly explain why the assailant has been able to move around town undetected, it'll be up to you guys to figure out countermeasures. More details will come in the discord.

City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:

- It will be a Wind Element month! This means the Wind element will be stronger, while the Earth element will be weaker. Weather wise, while the temperatures will move into comfortable autumn temperatures- it's going to be extremely windy! Try not to lose your stuff.

- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of bug, electric, and flying-type Pokemon! If you're hoping to catch Pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten.

- The fall term will be starting up at Kaisou High School and Kaisou University on September 2nd! Curiously enough, some characters who didn't even enroll at the university will find themselves getting notices that they've been enrolled in various classes. If they look into this, they will find these enrollments are legitimate and been paid off by a mysterious benefactor. The classes enrolled with be a variety of things, but there definitely seems to be a preference towards liberal art classes....

- Alternatively, some creative characters will find themselves getting hit with a strong surge of inspiration. Suddenly the ideas are flowing and you feel extremely motivated to work on any projects you have. However, this inspiration will lead to extreme levels of it - such as forgoing sleep and just feeling like you still can work on stuff more even when it's clearly done. In extreme cases, they might even begin to suffer some memory loss. Those who were here in year one might recognize this as side effects to the Muses being in town.... though it'll be a couple weeks until their realm is accessible.

- The Pokemon Contest hall will be opening its doors later this month! For it's first competition, it will be Pokémon Races! Pokémon can compete in races of various speed classes in order to see who is the swiftest (of their class). The Slowpoke race is a particular fan favorite. There are also obstacle course challenges, and a kart derby where people are welcome to create go-karts for them and their Pokemon to race in. More details on this will be included in the event log.

- Pumpkin Spice season is in full swing! Sure enough no matter where you go, there will be pumpkin spiced seasonal items for sale.

These will be starting up at the start of the month. There won't be any mod run event logs on these events, so feel free to make your own posts on it!

City Free Gacha!
With the coming of fall, characters will find items falling onto them! That's right, this month everyone gets 3 free gacha pulls! Please comment to the relevant comment before to redeem them! ICly, these items will be blowing in on the wind, or falling out of trees. Watch your head!

Spirit Realm Event: The Library of Alexandria
This month will have the return of the Library of Alexandria! Just like in previous years, characters will be able to explore the library and enjoy it's wealth of knowledge, literature and art (and it's not just books!). While there'll be loads of entertainment in the library, characters will be able to access life records of any person who has died and is related to them (meaning Luke Skywalker could get a file about Anakin, but he couldn't get one about Obi Wan Kenobi). This does include relations not just by blood, but do require the character you're looking up to view your character as family. For AU characters, this includes records of their previous selves and their relatives.

This year in addition to the library, the library will have an issue where a malevolent spirit has been released and has taken over the battle simulator in the theater wing. Fun battles reenactments that were once harmless are now extremely deadly. In order to clear this possession, characters will need to take on battles of creatures from their past lives in order to exorcise the being.

The spirit realm log will be going up on September 15th.
