Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for February!

OOC Housekeeping

The Zodiac Network Post will go up February 1st, with a midmonth post going up February 15th. There will be two event logs, a city based one will be posted February 4th, with a spirit realm based one posted February 15th.
If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!

Side quests
Side quests will be available this week! January side quests will be available until the quests go up, so consider today your last chance to sign up for those!

If you wish to redeem past quests for regain points or gacha points, you can please do so! That said, any regain point redemption for January should be done BEFORE the AC check begins, and be added to your January activity comment.

POKEGO Update
After Gilgamesh's appeal to POKEGO to help Sampo, POKEGO will be focusing on that this month! Their job is to travel to the Kanto region to gather Everstone, or basically turn up any magical based material that could be used to synthesize a cure for Sampo's cruxis crystal dilemma.

However, they will discover that this stable gate is being influenced by the Spirit Vein's activity. Due to it being a fire element month, Fire-type pokemon will not only be stronger, but many will be more aggressive than usual. The most dangerous ones will be ones with red glowing eyes, will according to Pokemon records are called Alpha pokemon. Basically, mini boss fights have fun.

The true solution to this problem will arrive in March (due to a meteorshower), but players can plot out stopgap solutions to the problem there.

Zodiac Update
It's the season of love, which unfortunately in the world of corporate, it means the season of extra-capitalism.

As such, Zodiac will be offering a special program in which Libra app users can order a candy-gram to be delivered to anyone they want in the city. And since the moogles are really busy this year marrying folks, the task of delivery falls to the Zodiac Team.

These candy-grams can be anything as long as it's Valentine's Day related. It could be a bunch of balloons, a bouquet of roses, a heartfelt poem to be read out loud, a boombox with a love song to be played- the possibilities are endless. Libra App users can even specify which Zodiac employee they want to be the deliveryman. And just to give an incentive, whoever gets the most candy-gram deliveries will earn a pay bonus and an extra week of PTO.

Black Order Update
Thanks to the efforts of the Black Order, the Ark of Yamato has been successfully sealed! The demons within the ship won't cause any problems before the prophecized day arrives, but the locals of Kamui insists that isn't an issue for the Black Order to deal with.

As for this month, the Black Order is yet again tasked to dealing with folks who are peddling taboo love potions. For veterans of the Black Order, this is will be a rather routine mission that often pops up this time of year, as there's always some shady people trying to push such potions.

However this year, they may notice that victims who have taken the love potion are more mentally unstable than usual. Sure, there's the typical endless obsession that comes with love potions, but this years batch seems like they're even more detached from reality than normal. Even after antidotes are administered, some of the victims even exhibit symptoms similar to withdrawal. Fortunately, none of the withdrawal symptoms will prove life threatening this time, and the victims will return to normal within a week.

The source of this year's brand of love potion will have their base running out of an abandoned warehouse in the warehouse district. It's a small operation, the typical low level drug pushers, just of the magical variety. It'll be up to the Black Order group to decide how this should be handled!

City Events
In February, the dominant element will be Fire! While it's still winter for one more month, things will be warming up a lot more thanks to the influence of the fire element. So it's still cold, but nowhere near as bad as it was in January.

In town, everything will be decked out for Valentine's Day. Restaurants reservations will be filling up, stores will be selling valentine's merch- you know how it goes.

In addition, Cupid will be gifting the city with red strings of fate. Characters will find themselves tied together by a string that is colored based on their relationship (romantic, familial, friendship, rival, or complicated). The string will only disappear once the characters acknowledge their feelings for one another. Should they fail to do so, the string will continue to get tighter until they are just stuck together.

The town event log will be going up February 4th.

Spirit Realm Event: Infinity Train
This month, the Spirit Realm will be based on Infinity Train. Characters will find themselves trapped on a magical train, navigating through pocket-dimension train cars, solving problems and facing their own emotional burdens. They will need to learn to grow as people in order to get free.

The spirit realm event log will be going up February 15th.

About: Local short king has an axe, a bottle of manic panic, and a moral obligation to help people out. Nobody said he had to be nice about it though so he's doing it with as many memes and weird nicknames as possible while scurrying through the walls like some sort of technicolor murder gremlin.
Event Plans: You know who's purposefully obtuse about his feelings towards other people because he feels transient and unable to set down roots and still hasn't coped with his feelings after his (near) death experience? This guy! He's probably the one I'd put on the train and I apologize to anybody who considers him as anything more than a work colleague because he's trying to dodge that meaningful human connection like he's getting paid to.
