Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!
If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!
A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

Canon: MDZS/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
Age: 38
Type: Ronin AU
About: Jiang Cheng has been on the run from the Black Order with Lan Wangji for decades, avoiding people and doing his best to ensure both his and his friend's survival. He is basically a tsundere with a load of issues he has buried super deep down until he all but convinces himself they don't exist. But he is also a nice guy who cares a so god damn much and trying really hard to learn how to be friends, trust others, and all that fun stuff.
Typical Activities: His current day to day is not exactly exciting at the moment. He spends most of his time around either Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji but when he isn't hovering around them he can be found out and about in the city with his dogs! A husky named Huang and a Yamper named Shi. He can also be found in the evenings doing Night Hunts, taking on jobs to get rid of supernatural threats throughout the city.
Looking for: EVERYTHING! Friend, rivals (this is very easy to do), family members!! He is still... learning how to make friends in a way that isn't angry yelling. Help? How many friends? I'm really up for anything to be honest!

About: Whacky Wahoo Pizza man! Dante is a "private investigator" whose actual job is hunting down demons and being eternally broke due to the property damage he accidentally causes more often than not. Now days he is a mother of two and husband to two amazing men he loves with his whole god damn heart.
Typical Activities: Dante's usual day to day bounces between the city and Persphone's cottage. He reopened "Devil May Cry" for something to do, taking on odd jobs here and there usually for like nothing at all or for real cheap. You can also find him at the Vogue or hanging around his brother's shop (which is where "Devil May Cry" operates from) being the best brother ever.
Looking for: Everything and anything! Man could do with more friends, some rivals (a la Jun), sparring partners, whatever sparks your fancy!

About: A beautiful and exceptionally skilled woman who loves bears and can shoot real good! Vex'ahlia is a member of Vox Machina, a group of adventures who fucked around and ended up saving the country and then the world. She is the ranger of the party who comes off and confident and very sure of herself, she is the groups treasurer and fucking loves treasure/gold. She also loves flying, as well as her darling bear Trinket who she has had since he was a cub.
Typical Activities: Vex has spent many many years in Kaisou and is a common sight in the city, specifically in the Underground. She is known in the sketchier circles for taking on underhanded jobs such as stealing shit, beating the crap out of people, even a couple of assassinations here and there─ however she has been turning a lot of these jobs recently, focusing more on finding missing people, missing objects, even protecting those unable to pay protection rackets etc. Also, now that she has found Percy again, she is often seen in the Zodiac offices visiting her wonderful boyfriend. There is definitely some obnoxious PDA while in the Zodiac offices just to annoy Janet.
Looking for: Friends! Family! Past lovers! Vex is a bisexual disaster who definitely engaged in the casual friends with benefits over the years. If you've got any ideas feel free to hit me up, I'm always up for stuff!

Canon: Genshin Impact
Age: 500, physically she looks roughly 20.

About: Once upon a time there was an Archon, but it turns out that Archon was actually just an act as she split her humanity from her divinity to fool the heavens. Some things happened and now the human, named Furina, gets to live her life as herself hooray! Everything was hunky dory until she was thrown into Kaisou and suddenly returned to being a god, but she's doing her best adjusting to her life here and the divinity she never asked for returned. Also she has a boyfriend??? Two boyfriends??? Aaah.
Typical Activities: Furina's day to day is fairly simple! She works at the Vogue so more often than not you will definitely see her there, she directs a lot of the performances there and helps with lighting, costumes, etc. She also preforms every so often! She can sing and act so chances are you may have caught her on one of those nights. If she isn't working at the Vogue she does spend a lot of her time down in Meropide, in part because of Wriothesley (she wants to spend as much time as she can with him) and in part because she enjoys helping those down there. She also loves spending time with the seals and blubberbeasts in the harbor, often visiting them to make sure how they are and even swimming with them in the ocean. It is also important to note that she visits the Statue of the Hydro Archon that looks strikingly similar to her, how odd.

She'll run into Varian in Meropide too. He's very awkward when it comes to talking to people, but once he gets used to her he'll open up a bit more. Her cheery nature will remind him of Rapunzel and then they'll be no hope of him ignoring her, because he is weak to that. He likes to befriend The Nice Ones.

About: Sleepy lion man doesn't wanna work. Jing Yuan is a recent arrival to Kaisou after spending majority of his life off in China training with the angriest lesbian alive, but then one day she just left telling him there was nothing left for her to teach him and to figure it out for himself. So, having to hunt some nasty supernatural things for reasons he doesn't talk about, he decided to come to Kaisou as it is a god damn hotbed for supernatural happenings. He is a martial arts teacher in his spare time but hasn't taken on a student in a long time and probably won't now that he is working for POKEGO! :D
Typical Activities: Jing Yuan likes to nap, he likes to nap a lot. He despite his apparent distaste for work he can be often seen out and about completing basic chores that need to be done for his household. He often pauses in those and has a snack at whatever local cafe or bakery he happens across, always in the company of his Solgaelo and shiny Shinx. He is also spotted at the POKEGO facilities being the good apprentice that he is and totally not napping in a pile of pokemon, what are you talking about???
Looking for: MORE FRIENDS! Maybe even family! While he was an only child, extended family is still on the table! I'm super open to anything honestly, so please hit me up.

but yes, wwx is a very good mentor and they work very well together. i think jing yuan would also make a trip to wwx's place at least once every two or so weeks to just pop in and say hi. jiang cheng dislikes him so very much and refuses to be present during said visits, of course, taking his dogs and going to the park or something cause HISS ANGRY CAT NOISES.

different note though takame for sure talks to furina a lot at the vogue just in between things at work he very likes her a lot and likes to make sure she's doing well......
ragna doesn't talk to her after The Thing but still has an ear to the ground every so often also making sure she's doing well he just cant ever let anyone know that or his street cred will be ruined (it already is)
