On Christmas morning (or afternoon, or whenever Noctis decides to wake up), he'll find in plain sight an immaculately wrapped box a little smaller than the average minifridge and almost as heavy. It definitely was not there the night before, and inside is another box.

Inside of that is another box.

This continues on until the next to last box contains a smaller one tied to a cinderblock. (Because gods forbid you assume it was ever empty.) Inside this final box is an oddly thick envelope, just to really hammer home how annoying this process has been.

Inside the envelope are two things: one thousand dollars in cash and a very short note reading only Compensation for this past summer's incident.
