Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for December!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up December 1st, with a midmonth post going up December 15th. The event log will be posted December 4th.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month! For this AC round, players who check in will be receiving 8 regain points!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
• If you are interested in participating in IC Secret Santa, please sign up by Wednesday, November 27th by 6pm EST!
• Haven't gotten your free gacha items this month? You have until Saturday, November 30th at 5pm EST (aka the closing of regain office hours) to do so!.
• Please note the mod team will be unavailable Thursday, November 28th due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Any mod-related inquiries will be handled the following day.

World Changes

• Kung-Fu Dugongs, Mantines, and Maschiffs are now in the wilds of Kaisou!
• Queens Blood and Pai Sho are now available to play.
• Neko Astume and Granblue Fantasy are now on the Libra app.
• Enertron is now at the Bubu Pharmacy
• The Go-Kart Stadium is now available to live out your mario kart fantasies!
• Dragonspine Mountain is now in Kami State Park!

Side quests
Side Quests for November and December are currently available! We decided to merge the two months together due to plot timing and the holiday season. So please enjoy the current batch of sidequests through the end of December!

If you wish to redeem past quests for regain points or gacha points, you can please do so! That said, any regain point redemptions for November should be done BEFORE the AC check begins (which will be on the 29th of November), and be added to your November activity comemnt.

POKEGO Update
As a thank you for all your hard work, Professor Oak will be sending you the greatest gift of all: cute christmas/winter costumes for your pokemon. They will fit perfectly and look absolutely adorable, as if tailored made to be perfect for your little companions.

Work for POKEGO is rather light this month, though if any members are looking for some adventure, they are invited to perform surveys of Dragonspine Mountain. Be sure to go prepared for the cold and monsters!

Zodiac Update
TOP, aka the thanksgiving office potluck, was a success! With only Percy getting his cubicle moved, the rest of you got to enjoy a wide variety of delicious meals made by your office mates... and Janet's bland potato salad, of course

This month, many of you will be taking your paid holiday vacations and enjoying your holiday bonus. However, for those who used up their PTO (or you're Percy), you'll be expected to help out with Zodiac's mall santa program. Either work as an elf, a reindeer, Mrs. Claus, or the big guy himself. You may also hire other people from the Libra app to help you with your work.

Black Order Update
For all their hard work this year, the Black Order guardians will be rewarded with a holiday bonus and a holiday treat basket paired with a vintage of their favorite kind of drink.

As for their mission, they will be asked to continue investigating Dragonspine Mountain and assessing it's potential danger. Also please make sure Childe doesn't die up there.

City Events
In December, the dominant element will be Light! Due to it being the start of winter, there will be snow and cold as expected in this time of year. But it'll be pretty decent winter weather that won't get in the way of holiday celebrations.

Around the city, there will be holiday events galore- from mall santas, to a christmas light competition, to a christmas market! Basically the whole town is embracing the holiday spirit after such a chaotic year.

Spirit Realm Event: Doll Kingdom
This month, the Spirit Realm will be based on the Nutcracker Suite! Characters will be asked to head to the Doll Kingdom and assist with getting ready for the holidays. In addition, prepare for a dance-off with the Rat King and his followers!

And of course, no Christmas plot will be complete without the presence of Santa. Santa will be arriving not only to deliver gifts, but also to spar with anyone who wishes to follow up on Kaisou's tradition of fighting Santa. There is no defeating Santa, but everyone who participates will gain a gift. They can also fight Wriothesley and Veldora, who have decided to act as mid-bosses to Santa. All of the fighting will take place in the Pankration Ring at the Fortress of Meropide, so anyone can come to spectate.

As for gifts, Santa will be offering the following:

For characters who are under 18 (Eren, Eve, Kni, Knuckles, and Roxas), Santa will give you a free gift of your choice that's worth 2 or less regain points. Basically, it's a bonus Birthday Skeleton for you! These items can be redeems on the Regain page anytime between now and the end of December.

For all characters, they will be able to request Santa crafts a gift for another person. This gift can be any item that could fit in a small room, and have magical abilities totaling up to 4 points from the crafting system. For more details about this, head over to this comment!

For characters who are going to fight Santa, they will receive a mod decided present from Santa! Sign ups for battling Santa are here!

Santa Gifts

Characters can ask Santa to create a gift for another person. Every character can receive one Santa gift through this (meaning if Zhongli gives a gift to Venti from Santa, Venti can't receive a Santa gift from another character).

Some other guidelines:

The item can be any item so long as it fits into a small room (so no large vehicles/buildings)

The item can be enchanted to have abilities and/or accessories from the magic crafting system that totals up to 4 points. Materials are free of charge as its coming from Santa.

The item's abilities can only have affinity to one element (not including any abilities listed as "any"). Meaning if you request a fire-element item, it can ONLY have fire-element abilities and/or abilities that are open to any element.

OOCly, characters can only request one Santa gift item for this first week. Starting December 2nd, characters can put in more requests to give gifts to anyone who hasn't received one yet!

okay so this is a really weird and specific question that probably only applies to a tiny handful of characters however since I see GBF was added to Libra and we actually did have a Sandalphon in the game like over a year ago... If a character would have interacted enough with him to still remember him (or I thiiink when he was dropped it might've been "NPC still running his coffee shop" option? I don't remember though THIS WAS A YEAR AGO OKAY) but anyway if a character knew him while he was here would they uh. would they potentially recognize his in-game counterpart?

Hi AC! The short answer answer would be no, as that'd go against the fourth wall rule (especially since the Sandalphon player isn't around anymore to give permission).

Basically in the case of the Libra app GBF, there is still a Sandalphon in the game itself or a character that's very similar to him. And maybe Ritsuka will notice the similarities between him and the NPC running the coffee shop. However, it wouldn't really click that the Sandalphon in the game is the SAME person as the one who runs the coffee shop. It would just come across as a funny coincidence (like imagine a friend who shares an uncanny similarity to a fictional character- you wouldn't assume they ARE the fictional character).

Just a clarification if it makes a difference: I actually wasn't thinking in terms of "oh so-and-so's a fictional character" 4th walling but rather "oh this looks like it's based on so-and-so['s world]" because the latter is very much a thing that comes up in Ritsuka's canon! Sherlock Holmes being one of the biggest examples, it's explicitly canon that he was a real person and the novels were a deliberately fictionalized account to obscure certain details of events. And so on like that.

I DO also still regularly talk with Sandalphon's player too if it'd help to get an explicit statement from them if they'd prefer it being handled a particular way for that character/NPC specifically.

I think in this case, our ruling will remain the same. Ritsuka can certainly note that it has some uncanny coincidences to the stuff that Sandalphon might have told her while he was on the app (because Sandalphon the NPC would have no memory of his past life since he was a regular paranormal AU) - but I think it would remain feeling as a weird coincidence only.

As for the Sherlock Holmes example, we understand that happens in Fate, but Sherlock Holmes is a public domain character- so that's a different situation when it comes to fourth-wall rules and doesn't really apply here.
