November Plotting & CR Post
Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for November!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up November 1st, with a midmonth post going up November 15th. The event log will be posted November 4th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
World Changes
- Tuskpirs are now here to eat your bad dreams!
- Alex the Seal's transportation services are now available in the harbor!
Side quests
Due to the nature of the plot, and some RL stuff popping up on the mod end, the Side quests for November will be posted at a later time! We thank you for your patience. In the meantime, you're still welcome to pick up October Side quests until the end of the month, as well as turn in any completed quests.
POKEGO Update
Those POKEGO members who experienced the HORRORS of the Event Horizon will be getting mailed a care package from Professor Oak. In it, there is a pokemon plushie, a pack of their favorite snacks (grandpa remembers), and a blend of soothing tea.
There are no missions for POKEGO this month, beyond assisting the city! In fact you will get very clear instructions that no matter how strong the temptation, do NOT study the Heartless. Weird.

Zodiac Update
After being kidnapped to another realm, Zodiac has decided to be nice and not give you another life endangering mission this month! How wonderful!
Unfortunately, you will be instead tasked with an even more stressful burden: the annual Works-giving potluck at the end of the month. Zodiac is a work culture that loves its potlucks way too much, and Works-giving is the biggest of them all. You best prepare your finest offerings, or you WILL be judged. It's even rumored that the employees that slack off will get their cubicle moved to the worst spots in the office. Better not risk it.
Black Order Update
With the Black Order back and running, the missions are coming back as well! This month, the Black Order will get tasked with assisting a trapped comrade, as well as helping out where they can in the city.
City Events
Since November is a Shadow month, the weather will be turning rather dark and cold. Winter's not quite here yet, but boy those autumn winds are biting and the night times are extra dark.
As for events around town... well, stay tune.
New Mechanic: Second Elements!
Starting in November, characters will have the option of getting a second kaisou element to obtain new abilities from! ICly, this will be considered something that's never happened before (as anytime someone could use more than one element, it was thanks to past life abilities)- and will play into the metaplot for 2025.
Due to the unusual nature of the situation, second elements will come with some hiccups. When you unlock a second element, in addition to the 2 points it'll cost to unlock, players will be asked to pick some flaws that go along with the element from a list (about 3 points worth of flaws). The flaws cannot be redeemed for extra points in gacha goodwill. After the element slot and flaws are chosen, you'll be welcome to purchase powers and any monster abilities that are locked to your new element!
Since we know having a second element will open up more options for monsters for characters, we will also be opening up the option of a third monster slot! And yes regarding Elf/Fae monsters- you still have to option to get an additional element through your monster type! It just means now you could potentially get up to three elements.
Information about purchasing second elements will be coming soon!
Plot Event: Heartless Invasion
This month's event will be based on Kingdom Hearts. Now please sit back and let me explain for the next ten hours-
Okay seriously, the barrier that was keeping Kaisou safe from the Spirit Realm will finally break down, since the one year grace period is over. With the barrier down, heartless will be appearing in Kaisou with the intent of devouring hearts and reaching the heart of the world (which the easiest way to get to that is Yggdrasil in the fortress).
As such, the entire city will be in danger! You will be tasked with battling heartless and protecting the city until a solution can be found. The heaviest fighting will be in the harbor where there will be sea battles (have fun Edward!), and the Fortress of Meropide because the Heartless REALLY want to get at Yggdrassil. If you AREN'T looking to take part in combat, there will be safe zones on Cathedral Hill and Undertown -- plus an entire area that you can help out via minigames. Because.... who doesn't love... Kingdom hearts minigames....
Meanwhile, for those looking to help fix the barrier and screw with your characters mentally - the Crystal Tower will have a solution! Unfortunately the Crystal tower will be converted into a version of Castle Oblivion- aka meaning you will slowly lose your memories as you climb it. In addition, you'll have the option to face rooms conjured from the memories of your companions (Ardyn, Byleth, Cotton, Diarmuid, Leon, Venti, and Zhongli). Some of these rooms will have NPC elements, while others will be completely player controlled.
Finally, for those interested in having an NPC group battle like in the August plot, there will be one at the top of the tower against a certain suit of armor with a lot of will.
Memories will be restored at the end of the tower, though players are welcomed to use this as an opportunity to change any details in their AUs.

Event Plans: Rose is going to go to the Crystal Tower! She knows what it's like to have your memories/fears/what have you used against you, and she doesn't want that for her friends, and also for Ardyn. Otherwise, she'll be around the city helping out.
Anything else? ...it's a good thing she didn't get the cruxis crystal, she probably would have tried to eat it.

About: In her previous life, Robin was a precious cinnamon roll who had never done anything wrong in her life. In this life, Robin is also a precious cinnamon roll. She's never done anything wrong, but she did get caught up in the horrors last month! It's okay, though, she forgave the person who killed her. And she's doing fine, probably.
Event Plans: Robin is going to help out at the Vogue! She's going to help triage people and make sure that anyone who needs seen to safety gets to safety. She has helped out in actual war zones before, so this is fine. Heartless don't leave stray bullets.
Anything else? She'll be your friend if you want her too, maybe even if you don't.

About: Jill is the younger sister of Percy de Rolo Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way! When Percy's family was killed when he was younger, she was taken by the Black Order. Unfortunately, she had a little bit of a mental break, and she ended up in stasis because of that. Oops, sorry y'all.
Event Plans: Jill is coming out of stasis! In Meropide! When it's getting taken over by heartless! She's got a rapier in her hand and some ice powers, a whole lot of built up anger, and no earthly idea what's going on? So if any of your characters in meropide wanna fight with someone who just woke up who has a score to settle with a bunch of people that are dead, hmu. Jill is a sweetie under all of it, but she's got some trauma to deal with first.
