Welcome to the bimonthly AU & CR workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!
Apps are always open! So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!
A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.
This month, we're excited to announce that The Black Order is once again an appable option! The biggest difference from before is that the characters apping into that faction should be there WILLINGLY (or mostly willingly). You can also app former Black Order members as Ronin

Noa Kaiba was born to a CEO for an Arms Manufacturing company- real horrible dude- and far as was aware lived a rather pampered life; he naturally enjoyed the gauntlet of tutoring thrown at him, and naively looked forward to following his dad's footsteps.
And then he was in a car collision. At the age of 10, Noa was greeted by the Egyptian Goddess 'Neith', and offered a contract- unaware of the full scope of things, Noa agreed and was thusly swept into a completely different life by force. Neith's contract involved reviving him in the image of her son, the god 'Tutu'; to that end, in addition to being forced to flee for the wilds with his new body (a 'sphinx', formed using a mountain lion's body), he had to gradually figure out his responsibilities to the Goddess.
These would involve first of all daily offerings- but second of all, performing Tutu's duties, chief of which was patrolling the dreams of locals to chase off nightmares. He's also expected to handle local spirits, and (when personally capable) 'worldly threats'...but for the most part would've spent the first number of years focused on nightmares.
Noa as he will be applied in will have gathered a few boons and abilities for his continued service and as part of awakening to his past life, which in itself gained a number of powers in Ryslig. He'll be 19 years old, with scattered memories across that time, and while relatively bitter given his life circumstances, he's matured a good amount after walking through various mental hells. He's also...Very clingy once you get past the wall of social thorns. Noa's lonely! And he gets attached really easy.
Of note, abilities he'll have beyond dream viewer will include Shapeshifting, and Lightning Conjuration. Yes it's white, yes he can spit it. (Thanks Ryslig!)
Looking for: OKAY so the biggest thing I'm looking to sort out is precisely how long Noa has actually been within the Order; could be that he's been around a couple years and was just busy handling threats in somewhere like the Appalachians, he is very much tailor fit for the wilderness after all. Could also be that he's been in training-limbo/hell for the last year instead, given how much was ramping up these last few months. OR if the option is there, maybe he's even been recruited recently and is just joining 'now' (albeit a short period before the app itself).
The important thing is that the above is something I want to sort out based on potential TBO CR.

Content Warning: It's Zelos from the bad end, so there's going to be many mentions of suicide. Tags with him will be mostly safe since that's not really a topic he'll want to talk about.
The former Chosen of Tethe'alla. In Zelos's world, they had a ritual in which every generation, a Chosen One would be born and they'd be tasked either with saving the world by sacrificing himself, or just hanging around in case the world needed saving. Zelos was the latter, and thus spent most of his life as some public spectacle. Zelos would play it up for the crowds, but hated his life, so behind the scenes he'd follow just about every avenue he could to try to get him out of it. Unfortunately in his own timeline, his freedom came in the form of his death.
But instead of heading to the afterlife, Zelos found himself in the world of Kaisou amongst the first of the otherworlders. Bewildering as it was, he spent the next couple years trying to make the most of it while dealing with his OH SO MANY personal issues. And to help pay his bills, he made an Onlyfans account which ended up being VERY successful.
Then one day, he dropped off the app and seemingly couldn't recall his canon life. How strange.
The truth was more complicated. Privately, he'd been contacted by a lady who claimed to be his half-sister. As it turns out, there had been a Zelos Wilder that had reincarnated in this world. He'd been the son of a famous religious celebrity who passed away after a scandal got exposed, and was a child actor himself before fading into obscurity once puberty hit. This Zelos unfortunately had the same self-destructive tendencies, and ultimately died without any public fanfare not long before our Zelos showed up in Kaisou. His half-sister, was now without any family, stumbled onto an advertisement for Zelos's OnlyFans account. Desperate, she decided to reach out.
While Zelos was initially EXTREMELY skeptical, eventually the lady managed to convince him that she wasn't lying or trying to con him. And truth be told, he was lonely and couldn't shake the hole in his heart that came from the knowledge he'd never see his sister Seles again. And so.... he decided to go along with this and accept this sister into his life. And since it's not like they could tell the world "hey this is my sibling from another universe" and they were still semi-public figures, Zelos decided to pretend to be that other Zelos who'd lived in this world all along.
And that's what he's been up to all this time. A dead man pretending to be another dead man. He wasn't expecting the app to reappear on his phone-- but well, the show must go on.
Most likely, he won't acknowledge he's actually an otherworlder. He'll pretend he's like Anastasia, an AU person who only just happens to resemble a previous otherworlder. The only tell? A necklace with a makeshift keycrest made of everstone ore found in the Kanto region.

Otherwise he's been in Kaisou, fully playing up the part of an AU who doesn't know any better.

Omg yes I love this! He probably ran into previous Zelos at one of his mom's obnoxious celebrity parties because she WOULD rub shoulders with a religious celeb for clout and likely had an evening chilling and hiding away from All That because oh boy would Zulius get how awful it all was to be embroiled in. He will squint so much but luckily he is stupid enough to buy it.

Yugo grew up with an interest in sport racing, and eventually started seeking to pursue it as a career. However, as the slightly dumbass teen he is (okay, more than slightly dumbass), he started getting a bit overconfident and shortly before turning eighteen, ultimately got into a nasty dirt bike accident that would have killed him, if not for interference from a draconic entity known as Zarc.
Zarc, the violent entertainer that he is, saw Yugo as useful and chose to save him, but at a steep cost. Yugo must now regularly (once a month) compete in some kind of event or spectacle (publicized in some way, the entertainment must be publicly seen) and win. Yugo satisfies this via entering motorcycle races, which he genuinely enjoys doing and is good at anyways.
What happens if he loses? Well. That's when Zarc
has a hissy fit about itforcibly takes over and gets to decide what kind of entertainment Yugo does, and his idea of entertainment tends to be violent. (Read: Yugo goes demon mode and starts beating people up until either subdued or Zarc drags him to the Spirit Realm). Likewise, not entering enough races to please Zarc causes Zarc to become increasingly angry until he takes over and forces a demon mode incident.However, Yugo has not actually lost yet and so is unaware of what happens when he loses. As far as he's concerned, he's managing things just fine!
Beyond that, Yugo is a perfectly nice, if a stubborn/hot tempered and kind of dumb guy. He genuinely doesn't mean harm on anyone! He's also starting to awaken to his past life, so that's also fun.
Looking for: Yugo has to publicly race as his possession cost, so it would be fun if people knew him from that. Beyond that, there's also the option of family links and friends!
Also I'm not certain if I'm going to app here or not yet, but there's no harm in workshopping an AU so!

Shio here is a motorcycle guy and at the very least has probably seen one or two of Yugo's races, and he'd absolutely be a big brother/dad friend at him-- alternatively this might take a little more discussion but if you'd like to make them actually related, I'd be down for that? O:

Shio's going to be so concerned no matter which route we go here.The TL;DR of Shio's backstory is he's an ex-delinquent who bounced around the foster system for a while when he was younger and after an unfortunate incident where his best friend got stabbed, he got taken in and adopted by a couple who own a restaurant in Kaisou!
He started out a Normal AU, but he's been on the app for over a year now, so plenty of room for him to be deeply concerned over Yugo being possessed.
