October Plotting & CR Post
Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for October!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up October 1st, with a midmonth post going up October 15th. The event log will be posted October 4th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
World Changes
- Prancing Pony is now open for all your shady inn needs!
- Cake Hounds now roam through Kaisou
- Junes is now open for all your shopping needs!
Side quests
Side quests for October are now available! You can no longer sign up for September side quests as of this post, but you're welcome to turn them in for September until the last day of the month. Afterwards, turning them in will count for the month that you've turned them in.
POKEGO Update
Sure, you got kidnapped by the Fae, but you did discover a whole new region of the Kanto realm! So you still deserve some props!
This month, POKEGO characters will have the option of surveying the new region of Johto! If you aren't part of POKEGO, you are also welcomed to accompany them! Consider this an option either to help you opt-out of the horror themed plots OR something for your character to do as they recover from The Horrors.

Zodiac Update
During the month of October, some Zodiac employees that were part of the early realm scouting mission will find themselves trapped in The Unknown, aka the lighter plot of this month. If they are particularly unlucky, they may be cursed into a bird or otherwise trapped. It'll be up to other characters to help rescue them.
Black Order Update
Just a note, we have not forgotten you guys! But since one of the key mods in the Black Order plotting had a lot of emergencies in September, plotting is a bit delayed on your end. Should everything go as planned, the apps will reopen for Black Order in the middle of October and you guys will get more information then!
City Events
Since October is a earth month, the weather will be mild autum weather! The town will be in full swing with the Halloween celebrations, so take your chance to enjoy that before the winter comes!
However, due to the annual weakening of the barrier between the Spirit Realm and Earth, Normal people will be able to perceive the supernatural. So if you tend to look rather abnormal? Get ready to get a lot of looks and a lot of questions.
Spirit Realm (Mild Version): The Unknown
Like last year, the Halloween plot will be split across two logs! In the main log will be your usual town events, as well as a spooky-but-not-horror esque log. Meanwhile the other log will contain an opt-in horror plot for anyone looking for something more aligned with horror.
For the lighter log, the event will be based on the series Over the Garden Wall. Characters will be able to head into the realm known as The Unknown, only to find themselves trapped there. It'll be up to them to figure out the truths behind the mysterious forest realm, recover the Zodiac employees who went there, and return home safe and sound! While there are dangerous elements and some creepy things, there should be no deaths here unless you handle things really badly.
Spirit Realm (Horror Version): The Event Horizon
Meanwhile for our horror event, it will be based on the space horror movie Event Horizon. Characters will awaken on the abandoned spaceship the Event Horizon, which unfortunately has had engine troubles that connected it to Hell (oops!). Over the course of four days that you're on the vessel, characters will experience dangerous halluncinations and for some unlucky folks who decided to poke the wrong thing - they will experience Hell itself and go temporarily insane of the homocidal variety. It'll be up to the characters to find a way off the ship before everyone kills each other or the ship is dragged into Hell.
The event features heavy use of the following triggers: hallucinations, reliving past traumas, mental corruption, violence, and PVP death. This plot is ENTIRELY Opt-in, so it's perfectly fine if you don't want to participate. And speaking of PVP, powers will be on during this plot, though ones that could get them out of there (like teleportation) will be nerfed.
Please comment below if you wish to sign up for the plot! Just with like previous death-heavy plots, the mods will be rolling to determine if characters live or die (though you can volunteer to die if you wish). Don't worry, the usual consequences for death will be waived and characters will be revived at the end of the plot. And if you are unhappy with your result, this year you will be allowed to swap with another character provided their player agrees to it. Just please let us know if a switch is taking place.
From there, dying characters will be allowed to plot out when and how they will die! We will also have sign-ups for folks down to doing a murder, so we can help find you a perfect match. ♥
Players have until October 6th to sign up for the plot! Finally, due to the graphic nature of the plot, characters will need to be at least 16 years of age to sign up for the Event Horizon plot (for characters with unusual age situations, feel free to check with the mods about it - we're mostly just trying to avoid getting kids killed).
ETA: Characters who are NOT going on the Event Horizon will remain in the city, and will magically not question why their buddies are absent for four days. Must be another long fishing trip!
