September Plotting & CR Post

September Plotting & CR Post
Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for September!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up September 1st, with a midmonth post going up September 15th. The event log will be posted September 4th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
World Changes
- Clockie Cartoons are now on TV!
- Diabolos, Shining, Shield Breaker 3, and Odin Gem Quartz can be purchased for your ARCUS!
- Murasame and Mayhem Elemental Gems can be purchased for your Soul Device!
- Evasion Rings are now in jewelery stores.
- TM Protect can be purchased for your Pokemon
- Vibrava are now found flying around Kaisou!
- Den Den Mushi are now found in Kaisou!
Side quests
Side quests for September are now available! You can no longer sign up for August side quests as of this post, but you're welcome to turn them in for August until the last day of the month. Afterwards, turning them in will count for the month that you've turned them in.
POKEGO Update
POKEGO, your vibing time is over.
With the several new apprentices that have joined POKEGO, the organization decided it'd be fun to have a camping trip into the Kanto realm over Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, this will go horribly wrong when they get kidnapped by fae. It happens!
As always, you can check out updates to the PICHU facility here and information about Cygnus Academy here.
Zodiac Update
Sorry you don't get to vibe either.
During the month of September, the Zodiac employees will get assigned to help with an incident in Stardew Valley. They do have the option of helping out with the POKEGO-Kanto realm too, but yeah- another month of unhappy tasks.
Black Order Update
Some of you can vibe.
With the defeat of the Unyielding, there's a lot of unanswered questions about your future lying ahead. Many of the characters will be deciding if they want to remain with the Order or not.
During the month of September, any character that chooses to leave the Order can switch to Ronin status without it taking up your ronin character slot. If you intend to have your character leave the Order, fill out the leaving the Black Order form on the Changing Faction page.
Basically September is going to be treated as a month for the Black Order to get affairs in order! Missions will resume in October.
City Events
Since September is a wind month, expect there to be a lot of windy days! Fortunately besides that, the weather is pretty mild thanks to seasons switching into autumn as the month progresses.
For those looking for something fun to do, the hot air balloon festival is happening! Otherwise there's a spike in supernatural crime- oops!
Spirit Realm Events: Coral Island and Johto Region
Since the past couple months have been pretty intense event wise, September is going to be a much more laid back and lighter affair. Instead of introducing a brand new realm, we'll be updating a couple of the Stable Gates with new areas and small optional events! The two realms we're focusing on is Stardew Valley and Kanto.
In Stardew Valley, characters will be asked to help out their island neighbors over at Coral Island! Coral Island has been dealing with a pollution problem caused by Tarr Slimes that have managed to find their way into the realm via dimensional tears. This means not only is Coral Island now an accessible location for characters going forward, but slimes from Slime Rancher will now be available to farm and/or keep as pets. There will be three breeds available at the start (Pink, Tabby and Phosphor), with the others unlockable in Gacha Goodwill.
Meanwhile in the Kanto Realm, a land bridge has been discovered that will now make the Johto Region accessible to explore! Yay! Unfortunately, the Fae have also discovered this and have decided to hold a Pokéathlon - with you guys as the Pokemon. Or in other words, we are unlocking the option for characters to change into Pokemon.
How it'll work will be like this:
Once you've decided what kind of Pokemon you want to be and the four moves you want (though you can also skip this part if you don't intend to do a pokemon battle), comment down below!
ETA: The Kanto-Johto part of the plot is NOT limited to just POKEGO! Basically some members of POKEGO went on a camping trip over labor day weekend into Kanto, got kidnapped, and now everyone else on the app is going to their rescue when they realize they haven't come back... only to get kidnapped yourselves oops! Characters are welcome to either join the rescue party or honestly just wander into this mess all by themselves. People can turn into pokemon either by getting caught by the fae... or eating suspicious looking berries lying around the realm.

QUESTIONS
no subject
Is the getting turned into pokemon going to be strictly limited to this month's event, or will it continue to be a potential hazard for characters to get hit with in the future?
If a character gets turned into a 'mon that's capable of evolution (like bulbasaur or growlithe) would they potentially be able to evolve if they meet the requirements? (i.e. getting stronger, being exposed to one of the stones, etc)
Is it safe to assume that paradox pokemon and ultra beasts are all off-limits along with the legendaries?
would you like any ideas/help with the implementing abilities thing because I've uh. spent way WAY too much time thinking about this sort of thing before aslkjakljsdfno subject
2. Things like evolution and how those would work will be decided at a later time along with the pokemon powers. For now, you are welcome to pick a pokemon that's later on its evolutionary line (for example, someone could pick to be a Venusaur for this plot) and that'd be fine!
3. Ultra Beasts would count as legendaries since you can typically only catch one or so of each type in their respective games, so yeah those are off the table. As for the paradox pokemon, I think the ones that aren't considered legendaries (so ones like Scream Tail or Iron Bundle) and can be caught in large quantities in the crater would be fine!
And finally thank you for the offer! When the time comes we may reach out to you and the other players for ideas. At this point in time though, the mod team really needs a rest after running the really involved summer plot, so that'll be much further down the road before we decide to tackle the project. Thanks though!

Character Name: Knuckles the Echidna
Canon: Sonic the Hedgehog (movie-verse)
Type: OU
About: A teenager red echidna alien who's far too serious and far too naive for his own good. Likes grapes and punching things. Last month's event did a number on him (thanks, Tsuchi) and now he has all kinds of feelings and questions and needs to do some serious soul-searching.
Event Plans: I don't have anything particularly planned for the events HOWEVER he's absolutely going to be moping around town plenty. With a cute lil' raincloud hovering over his head more often than not. Please by all means ask him about that.
Character Name: Ritsuka Fujimaru
Canon: Fate/Grand Order
Type: OU
About: Cheerful, friendly, outgoing, and packed with way more trauma under the surface than anyone her age ought to. Apparently that's what happens when you spend 3+ years saving the world from various threats instead of going to high school. Definitely needs a therapist, but has serious doubts whether one exists that can handle her... everything.
Event Plans: She's getting sent on a forced vacation by means of her friends confiscating her phone and all but dragging her to Stardew. Other than that I'm open to plotting!
Oh and she has cool magic bracelet that if you're her friend she can maybe borrow a power from you, check it out!
Character Name: Beredvyn of Nal (aka Meredith Nelson)
Canon: original character
Type: Normal AU
About: Midwestern gal who likes sports and swordfighting and was working on getting her career off the ground when a weird app showed up on her phone. Things have only gotten weirder since, and she's distinctly less than thrilled about it. Has a 'pet' griffin and is trying to deal with the fact that her cousin no longer remembers the app but she's still stuck in the middle of this craziness.
Event Plans: One of her closest friends got kidnapped by the fae of COURSE she's going to rush in to help with the rescue operation! And get turned into birb for her troubles.
Anything else?

Character Name: Ace D. Portgas
Canon: One Piece
Type: Paranormal AU
About: Ace is a himbo with a heart of gold unless you insult him to his face then he'll fight until one of you goes down. He has a single brain cell that activates ONLY if people threaten his family or if you permanently damage his cowboy hat. Also he's possessed by a dragon that makes him fall asleep at stupid times and also sometimes to purposefully keep him from getting in over his head.
Event Plans: Ace accidentally got himself fae-napped while on a cookout with his good new friends in Pokego! As such, he'll be stuck in the pokelympics as a Cinderace. I was thinking of having him participate in the battle tournament, the races, and maaaaaaaybe the block smash, as funny as seeing a bunny try to flop himself to the sky in magikarp jump would be.
Anything else? I may be thinking about triggering the first of Ace's flickers of past memories in this plot, but we'll see what happens! It really just depends on if an opportunity presents itself for him to take a fire blast to the chest or not.
Character Name: James Rogers
Canon: Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow - aka Marvel
Type: OU - CRAU
About: James is a lazy brat of a traumatized teenager who really just wants to sleep, but he has Survivors Guilt(tm) about being Captain America's son and thus is constantly forced to embody being the Pinnacle of Heroism at all times.
Event Plans: Nothing concrete so far, since he just got here! But I'm thinking of throwing him into the cleanup of Coral Island to give him something to do - and, you know, to get used to how fighting and acrobatics feel in this weird new world.
Anything else? Please force this sad boy to talk to people, he's really bad at communication and is really too old to just pick his nose in the corner while other people do things.
