Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for May!

OOC Housekeeping

• The Zodiac Network Post will go up May 1st, with a midmonth post going up May 15th. The event logs for this month are going to be a bit different, and further discussed later in this post.
• If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
• Don't forget your free April Gacha! If you haven't grabbed your free gacha pulls, you have until the end of office hours on Tuesday April 30th to do so!
• Interested in playing a Black Order Zealot NPC? We're still taking volunteers for June, July and August!
• Interested in having your character help build a new network? You can still sign up over here!
• Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

• Crow's Nest restaurants are now open in Kaisou
• Love Nikki and Cooking Mama are available to play on the Libra App!
• The bar Cheers is now open in Kaisou
• Flying Lemurs can be found around the city and in particular by the Buddhist temple on Cathedral hill

Side quests
Side quests for May are now available! April quests are now no longer available to sign up for, but you can redeem quest logs for gacha points.

POKEGO Update
As a thank you for helping Blathers with his museum, POKEGO members will receive posters featuring the various bugs, fish and fossils they collected during their visit to the island! They will also receive a pay-raise that'll increase their monthly pay to $400 a month. Nice!

This month, POKEGO won't be receiving any extra assignments. Professor Oak intended to give you guys a relaxing month to enjoy the nice weather, but... well.

Black Order Update
With the deadline to investigate Teresa's murder now up, and with no culprit to show up for it- consequences will be coming their way. They will be informed that the investigation are being handed off to other members of the Black Order, and that their pay is going to be docked for the month.

All things considered, it could be a lot worse, right?

City Events
The city itself will be rather peaceful! The weather is nice and there will be plenty of outdoor activities including an art fair! At least during normal hours, the city is going to be experiencing a rather nice month. Enjoy it while you can!

Spirit Realm Event: The Dark Hour
This month's Spirit Realm event will be based on Persona 3 with elements of Persona 4! Every night, at midnight, a special hour will be added to the day called the Dark Hour. During this hour, shadow monsters will roam Kaisou. Meanwhile any non-app users will be turned into coffins and have memory of the Dark Hour occurring. While initially this will be presented as a weird Spirit Realm event, it is actually the Black Order's attempt to force the app users to name Teresa's murderer.

During the course of this event, four characters will be kidnapped by the Black Order zealots (Douman and Dickson) and thrown into the metaverse as a means to power it. These four victims will be trapped in dungeons that were created out their personal baggage and will need to be saved. In addition, there will be a separate mod run log where the Crystal Tower will turn into a version of the Tartarus. Characters will need to scale it and defeat Douman and Dickson at the top.

Since this is going to be a massive event with a lot of moving parts, what we are going to be doing is releasing it in chunks every three days to help people from getting overwhelmed. That said, backtagging is always welcomed and encouraged. Do not feel like you have a complete any aspect of the event within three days, and don't feel like you can't comment late to any of the logs. You totally can! We're staggering the start dates purely to try to space things out so everything doesn't get rushed over one weekend.

ICly, characters will only have one hour every night to work on the various dungeons. This means ICly this stuff will take place over the course of several days and characters will be able to participate in as many of the dungeons as they like (aka if two characters you have CR with end up being victims, unlike last year you can help in both of their dungeons). Or they just sleep through the dark hour and enjoy an extra hour of sleep- their choice really!

The overall schedule will be:

• Friday, May 3rd: Main Event Log goes up w/ town events, introduction to the Dark Hour, and first section of the Tartarus. Fugo's dungeon will be posted.
• Monday, May 6th: Rose's dungeon will be posted. The main event log will update with the second section of the Tartarus.
• Thursday, May 9th: Caleb's dungeon will be posted. Main event log will update with third section of Tartarus.li>
• Sunday, May 12th: Wolfwood Sr.'s dungeon will be posted. Main event log will update with final section of Tartarus and the boss fights with Douman and Dickson.

All logs will be posted around 6pm EST on their assigned days. The four victim characters (Fugo, Rose, Caleb, and Wolfwood) will ICly go missing about a few days prior to their dungeons appearing. The Douman and Dickson fights will be done separately and Prince and Bon will be NPcing them in the fight threads.

Also finally please note that some of these character dungeons will contain heavy content warnings. What those content warnings are will be posted on the relevant logs. If there's a case where you want your character to be involved but aren't comfortable with a certain topic matter, you're super welcomed to have them get involved with the Tartarus side of things as that part of the plot will be pretty free of content that typically requires content warnings.

Event Plans: Look even if she barely knows some of these people she's going to do her best to help on principle! That said, at some yet to be determined point during the event, Ritsuka will be getting attacked by Douman. Since the specifics of timing of this will be entirely dependent on when other things ICly happen I can't commit to anything on that just yet, but if you want to discuss any broad strokes plotting or otherwise get a heads up as soon as I know, please hit me up!

About: Has been part of the Order for around about 13 years now, and was initially moulded to be a dutiful weapon due to her skills and being able to neatly lock up her feelings. She's since come out of her shell since arriving to Kaisou, and is currently grappling with her worth as a person vs her worth as a tool - luckily she's got people to yell at her about it. Also gaining her eldritch powers back is messing with her a little, but her main priority will always be her friends and family. Basically soft murder puppy who cares about people a lot.

Event Plans: So Lapis will be jumping into Rose and Fugo's dungeons, because those are her friends how dare you kidnap them!! After that she will be going for Douman - she has personal history with him (spoilers she's been trained by him to take over his role and he sees her as something similar to the alien god from his canon, so things are very volatile between them). She will likely be switching to her space bird form in this fight and has a high chance to lose her fucking shit, she wants the clown dead. She will also be bringing their son Jinwoo's shadow soldier, Tank, along for the ride too while he fights elsewhere.

Anything else? Due to a combination of this event having Lapis focus and general dead brain due to work, Persie and Ajisai will still remain on backburner unless someone wants anything with them specifically!!

Event Plans: he is going to Rose's dungeon to help her get out of there! Zulius is his friend and Rose is a coworker so of course he's gonna come and help out. he'd likely do the same for Wolfwood's dungeon now that I think about it. he is not going to the D&D boss fights despite his real desire to shove a hidden blade through their throats, bc all his friends are going to yell at him and sit on him so he doesn't murder them the exact same way he did Teresa.

About: in his past life, was a king prophesied to bring about the end of the Starscourge's threat, and under that was also dealing with the grief of losing his dad and then his bride and also the stresses of being a royal on the run from the empire that invaded his hometown. dude just wanted to go on a road trip and then kiss a girl. in this life, Noct's a game developer running his own indie game company and also playing in a D&D podcast alongside WWX and Caleb, but he is also dealing with a shitload of unresolved grief over the loss of his father in the November event (that he wasn't there for) and his somewhat complex feelings about his past life and how that ended.
Event Plans: his cousin got kidnapped and tossed into a nightmare dungeon made out of his issues, of fucking course Noctis is going to lose his entire shit and go rescue him. he's gonna pact with Argenti to grant him warping and Armiger access and then run off to the dungeon ready to fuckin rumble with the Shadow (and snap at Ardyn a little). once that's done he's gonna charge right at Dickson. so. yanno. busy month.

About: rookie cop has the absolute worst first day ever when he turns up to Raccoon City and walks straight into a zombie apocalypse. somehow this ends up in him becoming a government agent who specializes in taking out zombies and dealing with outbreaks. in this life, he had a week before the precinct went to hell bc his chief summoned demons to cover up evidence of corruption, and in the process his best friend ended up cursed and he agreed to join the Black Order in exchange for them leaving his friend alone. of course now he's siding with the rebellion.
Event Plans: no solid plans for Leon just yet beyond him also booking it toward the boss fights to Murder! I think he'll be going into Fugo's dungeon just bc his boss is going in there and he's gonna go back him up. he's a good guy like that.
