February Plotting & CR Post
Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for February!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up February 1st, with a midmonth post going up February 15th. An event log will be posted on February 4th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
- To help encourage the purchase of World Regains, we are now offering a World Regain Community Pool! This means if you have an expensive world regain you want, you can pull some points from this pool to help pay for it! Alternatively, if you have excess points you want to be rid of, you can donate to this pool and get some nice thank you prizes from it! This can be found on the regain page
World Changes
- Mochi Cats can be now found wandering the Entertainment District.
- A water park owned by Gil can now be found a few miles up the road from the beach.
- A Victorian-era house owned by Lucy can now be found in Brick Alley.
- St. Gentlemen, a bakery, can now be found on Shopping Street.
- A hot spring can now be found in Vergil's backyard.
- Duraludon Pokemon can now be found in the caves of Kami State Park
- The Gems/Quarz for your ARCUS/Soul device: Full Gallop, Absolute Defense, Thread of Life, and Crescent Mirror are now available for purchase in Hyrule for rupees
Side quests
Sidequests for February will be available tomorrow! January quests are now no longer available to sign up for, but you can redeem quest logs for gacha points. Please head to the old post to redeem any quests from December or earlier.
POKEGO Update
POKEGO have been asked to keep well clear of whatever is happening with The Black Order- Oak is concerned about the danger to his people. POKEGO members are, however, encouraged to help with the spirit gate this time around- as there is a chemistry aspect to it and POKEGO are always interested in more study when it comes to science. They will also be asked to team up with The Black Order to create and administer an antidote to a love potion being hawked by an NPC at the beach.

Black Order Update
Thanks to the sub-par reports that the Kaisou Guardians provided in January, The Black Order higher-ups have decided to send a much more dangerous operative named Teresa to find out what's happening in the city. This may result with a couple of members caught in her crosshairs, so Guardians had best be on their guard this month. Things are only set to get worse from here.
For those not involved in that mess, Black Order members will also be sent to deal with dangerous love potions (and the person hawking them) being sold by a black market trader who has pitched up near the beach. They will also be asked to team up with POKEGO to create and administer an antidote.
City Events
February is a fire element month- with the fire comes warmer weather - there's still snow on the ground, but it's no longer below freezing outside- it's a lot less miserable to be outside this month. The city will have plenty on for Valentine's Day, and will be decorated with hearts to get into the mood. Plenty of restaurants have various deals to encourage people through their doors looking for a romantic meal. For those not looking for romance, they will also find a special celebration in the city to ring in a leap year.
Spirit Realm Event: Cupid's Factory
The spirit gate this month opens up to Cupid's Realm- specifically the factory where his famous "love arrows" are created. His staff has gone rogue and started firing arrows around the city, and he needs help in not only creating antidotes but also in administering them and apprehending his wayward workers. Characters have the chance to be hit by these arrows themselves- while they don't make anyone fall in love, what they do do is remove any emotional and mental barriers stopping you from speaking about your feelings to anyone. Affected characters will be more emotionally honest as a result- regardless of whether those emotions are romantic, platonic, angry or otherwise.
Cupid's realm also provides a hotel, designed to strengthen all kinds of emotional bonds. It offers a variety of unusual rooms and activities -with the only rule being that nothing can be done alone. The hotel also offers traditional love hotel rooms for those who want a little romance with their beau(s) for the holiday.

Event Plans: She's going to be mildly dismayed that her wild guess that the archers bit of the prophecy post was referencing Amor/Cupid's arrows was right, but will try to help where she can anyway. I'm all for shenanigans involving the arrows' effect, though! Ritsuka is ALSO planning on doing friendship chocolates for Valentine's, which means if she considers you a friend you are getting chocolate. They will be somewhat customized to something she knows the person likes and/or associates with the person receiving them!

About: Midwestern gal who likes sports and swordfighting and was working on getting her career off the ground when a weird app showed up on her phone. Things have only gotten weirder since, and she's distinctly less than thrilled about it. Has a 'pet' griffin and is currently living with her cousin Lucy, who she recently learned is possessed. Fun.
Event Plans: ICly she continues to want nothing to do with this magical BS, unless it involves trying to help resolve her cousin's situation. OOCly she's probably gonna get shoved into it anyway, naturally! She's also planning on inviting people over for a Super Bowl party as an attempt at some sense of normalcy.

About: local pirate stumbles right into his series' big myth arc by complete accident and undergoes the most painful character development arc in that series by far. has been taken right after breaking out of prison and having to carry a good friend's corpse out with him, and on top of that he learned recently about his wife's death, so he's a little fucked up about that, and is slowly thinking about hey maybe the Assassins were not, in fact, wrong.
Event Plans: Edward is going to be chilling this month. he had a wild January. he gets to relax. he'll probably ask Cupid if he's willing to pay him in cash for doing work for him welp, but other than that he plans to do NOTHING but like, be sad about Caroline and drink his crap-ass rum on V-Day. and also, try to climb the Crystal Tower.

I'm hoping to get her hit with an arrow at some point so she has to be more emotionally honest with others, something she is allergic to hahaha.

About: rookie cop's first week on the job goes completely to hell, and in the aftermath, to save his friend, he ends up signing up for the Black Order. incidentally, in his past life, his first day on the job ALSO went to hell, but that was bc of zombies and this time around it was bc of demons. came to Kaisou in December and simply decided to join in on the revolution fun bc he's sick of the Order's shit and believes in changing it for the better.
Event Plans: SO UH hahah oh no Teresa's here f u c k. Leon will be hunkering down and looking out for his people in the Order, bc oh shit it's HER, he hates her. he's gonna be low-key stressed for, uh, a while, but thankfully at least he has a good dog now. I think he'll definitely want to help out with administering the antidote and apprehending the rogue factory staff, but otherwise that's all I've got for him.

his past life, not that he knows much about it, is that of a prince who went on a road trip to go get married to his childhood crush and then his home got wrecked in a surprise attack while he was away, and now he and his friends are on the run from the Empire, and on top of that there's this whole prophecy thing? and also he is kind of another fantasy Jesus figure? yeah, two fantasy Jesus figures in one game, thanks, FF.
Event Plans: guess who does not want to be emotionally honest. CACKLES this event is going to force Noctis to reckon with his grief and his anger, all of which he has been desperately trying to avoid and all of which have been getting dredged up since he first popped up on the app. I'm having the best time.

Unless of course he gets a little arrow pinch since Saber's are disadvantaged against Archers in the FGO weapon triangle after all, heeheheheehee.

Event Plans: Like Diarmuid, Ragna's coming into the month pretty emotionally raw since he's realizing he may not be as doomed as he thought and he doesn't know how to feel about that. He's starting to learn that beyond vengeance he's had no way to really live for the past ten years or so. He's being made to THINK AND FEEL and that's GROSS and it's only gonna get more gross cause you bet your ass he's getting the cupid boop.

About: Jinwoo, known as the 'Weakest' member of the Black Order--a man with negative luck and a strict inability to be out in the sun without proper protection. This is due to being possessed by a Shadow-like ghost who has been dormant ever since saving his life. He works for the Black Order, specializing in stealth due to his poor fighting skill and habit of getting himself hurt.
Since arriving to Kaisou he's become a vampire, has gotten a bit stronger, and has learned a lot about his past life that has him soon planning to Leave the Order now that the option has been given to him. Not before he helps Jusis with his plans, however.
Event Plans: He'll be dealing with the Black Order sides of things this time--he isn't keen on having a higher-up here and spying on them, but he's going to play along as if he doesn't have every intention of working against their current methods, one day soon. About: Stuffy Antiquarian and half-Devil spawn, Vergil is a man fascinated with old antiques and fascinating pieces of history. He's not a dragon but he certainly has a hoard--most of his collection being weapons or old items used in battle, war, and such things related like maps and old journals. He also enjoys poetry, literature, language and theater. In his past life, he was the half-human son of a legendary Devil-- Dark Knight Sparda--who once wrested the human world from the clutches of the demon world and set them free. He has regained many of the memories of his past self due to living with his Brother from that past--as well as his Son who had been reborn on Kaisou much like himself. His past is a constant worry to him as he's learned he was not quite the nicest Devil in the world, unlike the rest of his family who have sought to protect humanity, and he's doing his best to free himself from the idea that he's an unpalatable person with violent tendencies.
Being around his family and his beau has been helping a lot with that recently, at least.
Event Plans: He will be hit by one of Cupid's arrow and thereby making a fool of himself by losing that usual barrier that he has for speaking his true emotions. So. Any of his close CR can enjoy him being exasperated with himself or maybe hear his true thoughts for once.

About: Seven foot tall tree man alien from a hostile desert planet. Vash is a peace-loving optimist who wants nothing more than to live a life where he can be at peace and care for others. Unfortunately, due to his existence as a Plant--a sub-human superbeing that are like a mix of plant, battery and computer--he can get along with anyone so long as they're willing to talk to him and give him a chance. A pacifist to an extreme degree, he can pull of insane feats with a gun and even dodge bullets. He'd much rather talk things out than fight, but he knows when a foot needs to be put down.
Event Plans: As of right now, none! He just got back from a stressful coma that lasted 3 days in Kaisou, and yet 2 years from his own perspective. He wants to keep his head down and just enjoy the things he's missed in his time gone.

About: Tea-loving prison warden who has spent most of his life living in an underground-slash-underwater fortress most of his life. Wriothesley is a very grey-moral person who believes that everyone--regardless of what sort of misdeeds they've conducted in their lives--can make better choices for themselves and one day become better. Fiercely protective of those who cannot protect themselves, he has no problem doing what needs to be done to see everyone can live free of chains and the poisons of those who might try to control them. He has a love for music and boxing, and will claim he doesn't have any real strong talents or skills--but his eye for other peoples' strengths is sharp and unwavering. He is slow to trust others and is a little socially distant, the Duke mostly just prefers his own company due to not being great at relating to others.
Doesn't mean he won't at least try, though.
He's terribly bored in Kaisou now that he doesn't have a 'job' anymore, and is constantly looking for things to spend his time so he doesn't overthink a lot of the things he's learned by being away from Teyvat for so long.
He also got cursed to be an Elf during Christmas and has not yet realised fully what's happened to him.

About: Once upon a time there was a guy in the 1800s with a real shitty brother, and when he died his ghost got stuck for a 100 years before getting trapped in a bat. And then that bat went to school and helped save the world and now he's here, And That's Daybreak Jonathan,
Jonathan is a big heart in a tiny widdle body, a happy little bat doing his best to help out and fight danger. Now assisted by his Indeedee 'Alfred' with mundane tasks, he mostly spends his days flying about before returning to his house to share stories to his lil cacti. Also, he's british, so he's pretty big on the tea.
Event Plans: Jonathan's emotionally open on the optimistic end, but on the other end he keeps things pretty close to the chest; like Yasuho, a TL won't happen unless people specifically want to thread some Emotional Threads, but at the very least he's...well he's very sad in there actually. There's plenty he's very very happy about of course, he wasn't lying all those times he said he was glad to be alive, he's just also...well. Sad about what happened to get there, sad about the danger others are in, he's got a lot of feelings ok!

About: Mild mannered University student turned much less mild mannered university student/secretary by way of repeated events, Yasuho is a young adult living with herself, a tape duck, two ghost cats, and the occasional presence of a dragon. She's done her best to keep up with all this weird stuff, even as it happens to her.
Event Plans: What with the nature of Emotional Openness, whether or not I make a TL is going to be determined on how many are interested in a thread along those lines- these are not limited to close CR, but I WOULD prefer that if any new CR starts off this way, we keep that CR going.
Yasuho's already an emotional character when put under pressure, but now it's all coming out. I intend to buy her a tail as part of her Kirin changes, which is only adding to that load; all the magic, and danger scares her, it's something she can't control but wants to do something about. She's scared about what it means for her future, because even though she's truthfully elated by her new job (so, good news there), there's all these things happening around it.

Event Plans: sooo Gilgamesh is turning into a ghost and making a pact with one Vergil Vittore, and on top of that he has a waterpark that he's opening to Valentine's festivities so there's probably a lot of reasons for him to be out and amok and really off kilter with his usually tightly controlled feelings because things are weird now. being a ghost is fucking weird. he misses getting drunk.

About: okay so take the concept of a true immortal primordial dragon that's powerful enough to raze entire nations on a whim, and make it a giant himbo weeaboo. he's big, he's dumb, he's Best Buddies Forever with one (1) slimy boi, and he's been having a good time just catching up on all the manga that came out after 2018. technology is fun and confusing and he's all about new and fun experiences, especially in a place where he's not the Dangerously Dreaded. he lives in Rose's house and is her house himbo.

About: Goddess of spring, queen of the underworld, murdered her husband and isn't sorry about it.
Event Plans: Persephone would originally be interested in spending time with her cousin-but-not, Cupid, seen as Eros is one of the few gods she actually tolerates. She keeps a LOT of her emotional vulnerability close to her chest because she trusts literally no one ever, so she's gonna get shot. If anyone wants to hear some emotional honesty from her, and probably get some backstory she hides away, now's your chance!

He is one of the notable red-coated guys wandering around the city, one of the approachable ones too!! With Kaisou not having as bad of a demon problem as back home Dante has been operating as paranormal PI as well as a general handyman. he can usually be found at Vergil's store where he operates the Kaisou franchise of Devil May Cry, loitering around Vogue, or hanging around a seven foot tall plant man.
Event Plans: None at the moment! Although I am considering having Dante hit by one of those arrows. He's not as closed lip about his emotions as his dear twin brother, but he does keep silent about more things than you think he does. If any of his cr wants to hear his unfiltered emotions hit me up!!!

About: Ganymede is a thousands year old immortal who has spent his time isolated from society due to the machinations of gods. He is used to being toyed around with such individuals as something of a means to an end.
Now he finds himself here in a strange city with a taste of freedom and oddity. But he is pretty much a cynical and grumpy guy. He could use some friends, or rather, enemies, or people in between to pull him into things (or to encounter as he waltzes into them!)
Event Plans: I don't quite have too many event-related plans because Ganymede hasn't exactly formed CR but his curiosity could get him wandering where he shouldn't. Or he gets affected by honesty things, etc. He is pretty straight-forward but if anyone wants to play with that so he might end up saying he actually would rather not...I'm open :>
