Hi there, it's Saffy again, with another Genshin man causing trouble.

In Kaisou, Blade is possessed by a demon called Mara, also known as a god of death and temptation in Buddhism. He is often depicted as a demon who tried to prevent Siddhartha from reaching enlightenment. After making a pact with Venti, Blade's soul has essentially been in a tug of war between the two forces.

All of this is coming to a head in the second half of January, where Blade will be overtaken by his demon, kill some NPCs, and then retreat into a labyrinth.

Blade's CR, especially Black Order, will have orders to follow him in and either kill the demon or kill Blade to put a stop to the rampage. Standard possession protocol for them. However, Blade has been preparing for this, and so everyone should be expecting it and... hopefully not kill his ass :) LMAO. The consequences of saving him will be that Blade will not be able to do much for the next several weeks as he recovers, save for being forcefully drafted into the Black Order to atone for his crimes.

The reason I'm making this post is that the labyrinth is full of horrors. Blade's canon story deals with a lot of death and Blade himself wanting to die to break free of the cycle, and this will be reflected in the log. I want to make sure that everyone who intends to participate has a heads up on what to expect. I will also be marking the content warnings in the log itself so people can skip sections if they need to.

The form this labyrinth takes is that of a samsara, where each attempt to save Blade's life ends in failure and the dream starts over. Completing puzzles and encounters allows his would-be rescuers to progress deeper into the labyrinth and change the story.
