Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for March!

OOC Housekeeping

The Zodiac Network Post will go up March 1st, with a midmonth post going up March 15th. The game wide event log will go up March 4th.
If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month.
Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
If you're interested in having your character potentially get a Persona-style dungeon in the April plot, there's still time to sign up! Sign up will be open until March 1st.

World Changes

The Camp Half-blood Climbing Wall can be found outside of Kaisou High. Watch out for lava!

Side quests
New Side Quests have been added for the month of March! Go ahead and sign up! If you haven't turned in quests for February gacha points, you can still do so until the end of the month! However, signing up for any February quests is now closed.

Town Events
Winter is almost over with the season slowly turning into spring throughout the month of March. Characters can look forward to warmer weather as they begin to move into spring activities either at school or around the city.

In honor of St. Patricks Day's, leprechaun rainbows will be appearing all over the city. Should you follow one of these rainbows, there will be a pot full of golden salmon. Consuming or spending a good amount of time around these salmon will cause characters to be able to unlock memories of an AU life (or in the AU cases, another AU) of the player's choosing. These AUs can be canonical AUs, in-depth AUs that you've developed, or honestly just weird gags like an AU where everyone is a rock with googly eyes. They can either gain snippets of these memories or more details. The only limitation we ask is that for OU characters you don't use an AU that'd spoil major plot plots past your current canon point. Otherwise, it's all fair game.

Gate Event: Tír na nóg
This month's spirit realm will be based on Celtic mythology! The Fae who visited last March has returned, but with a whole new set of problems. Since last year, the Fae Court has experienced a rift between Seelie and Unseelie Fae, which has culminated in the Seelie Fae deciding to move into Kaisou and take over Blue Fish Lake Park. Characters will have to deal with these new, very unwelcomed guests and either attempt to befriend them to get information - or do something to cross them and get cursed.

On top of that, characters will have the ability to visit Tír na nóg to deal with the Unseelie Court as well as a whole host of other dangers that are now running free from within that realm.

Thanks to the Fae's presence and penchant for cursing people, players can get up to 3 monster transformation regains for free during the course of the month with the IC explanation that they crossed the fae. These free regains do not count towards your monthly cap of monster transformations, so characters can potentially buy 5-6 monster regains this month. In addition, this is the only month where you have the option to double up on monster type. So if you were hoping to get a chance to play as a dragon-demon or a winged-unicorn types- now is your chance!

To redeem any monster changes, free or otherwise, please be sure to comment to the regain post so mods can keep track of it.

As for the two factions. POKEGO will receive orders requesting they try to get to know the Fae and learn more about them, while the Black Order will be given an order requesting that they find a way to get the Fae to go back to their realm. As always, what characters decide to do with these orders are up to you!

ETA: Just a couple quick notes since these questions have come up a few times.

Monster types that are behind an element lock still require characters of that element in order to be it. Only shadow characters can be shade, only water characters can be selkies, etc.

If you get a second monster type this month, you can still purchase regains for it later on after this event! You just can't sign up for a second monster type after this event.

Since many monsters have countless variations to them, if there is a monster trait you want your character to have that is not on the Obtainable Trait list, please comment to the regain post with linked evidence that it's a trait associated with said monster and the mod team will figure out if it's obtainable in Kaisou and it's point value. For example if you want your vampire to turn into mist, you'd need to link evidence of it being used in a vampire story such as Dracula.

1. Yes, characters can potentially participate in both halves of the Fae event. If a kid is nabbed by the Seelie, they will be basically under strict watch and constant supervision. They know these kids will try to escape first chance they get after all. Should a kid misbehave too much or make a nuisance (which is a low bar because Fae are fae and thus irritable assholes) - they will permanently curse them.

2. Unfortunately while some of the Fae will recall Alberto and that might make him a target for kidnapping - it won't give him that many special favors past that. The fae are fickled creatures who are loyal only to their own - which Alberto isn't one even if he got along with them last year. Being a sea creature won't matter to them either. While they might give him one or two verbal warnings than normal -- if Alberto is too unruly, they wouldn't bother with temporary curses and go for permanent curses. The fae are assholes after all.

It does help, thank you! Some follow-up questions:

Being under strict watch and constant supervision while kidnapped, I take it the kids are essentially trapped in the park for a couple weeks, and the Seelie wouldn't allow the kids to go to Tir Na Nog to see the Unseelie on their own. Correct?

Would they be able to escape in order to go to Tir Na Nog? Is it even possible for them to escape on their own, after being kidnapped? Or will they have to ride it out til they are released when the Gathering is called and the event is over, like last year?

Basically trying to determine if Alberto's able to both be kidnapped and later go to Tir Na Nog somehow, too, or if he's only able to stay with the Seelie.

They are trapped until someone manages to save them! It's not impossible for them to find a way to escape or to have someone bust them out - so how long Alberto is kidnapped is up to you. It could be a couple weeks, or even just a couple hours when someone notices and goes "hey no".

Basically, it's still possible for him to go to Tir Na Nog. Since the fae are still rebuilding their court, it's pretty feasible to escape if you have help.
