Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for March!

OOC Housekeeping

The Zodiac Network Post will go up March 1st, with a midmonth post going up March 15th. The game wide event log will go up March 4th.
If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month.
Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!
If you're interested in having your character potentially get a Persona-style dungeon in the April plot, there's still time to sign up! Sign up will be open until March 1st.

World Changes

The Camp Half-blood Climbing Wall can be found outside of Kaisou High. Watch out for lava!

Side quests
New Side Quests have been added for the month of March! Go ahead and sign up! If you haven't turned in quests for February gacha points, you can still do so until the end of the month! However, signing up for any February quests is now closed.

Town Events
Winter is almost over with the season slowly turning into spring throughout the month of March. Characters can look forward to warmer weather as they begin to move into spring activities either at school or around the city.

In honor of St. Patricks Day's, leprechaun rainbows will be appearing all over the city. Should you follow one of these rainbows, there will be a pot full of golden salmon. Consuming or spending a good amount of time around these salmon will cause characters to be able to unlock memories of an AU life (or in the AU cases, another AU) of the player's choosing. These AUs can be canonical AUs, in-depth AUs that you've developed, or honestly just weird gags like an AU where everyone is a rock with googly eyes. They can either gain snippets of these memories or more details. The only limitation we ask is that for OU characters you don't use an AU that'd spoil major plot plots past your current canon point. Otherwise, it's all fair game.

Gate Event: Tír na nóg
This month's spirit realm will be based on Celtic mythology! The Fae who visited last March has returned, but with a whole new set of problems. Since last year, the Fae Court has experienced a rift between Seelie and Unseelie Fae, which has culminated in the Seelie Fae deciding to move into Kaisou and take over Blue Fish Lake Park. Characters will have to deal with these new, very unwelcomed guests and either attempt to befriend them to get information - or do something to cross them and get cursed.

On top of that, characters will have the ability to visit Tír na nóg to deal with the Unseelie Court as well as a whole host of other dangers that are now running free from within that realm.

Thanks to the Fae's presence and penchant for cursing people, players can get up to 3 monster transformation regains for free during the course of the month with the IC explanation that they crossed the fae. These free regains do not count towards your monthly cap of monster transformations, so characters can potentially buy 5-6 monster regains this month. In addition, this is the only month where you have the option to double up on monster type. So if you were hoping to get a chance to play as a dragon-demon or a winged-unicorn types- now is your chance!

To redeem any monster changes, free or otherwise, please be sure to comment to the regain post so mods can keep track of it.

As for the two factions. POKEGO will receive orders requesting they try to get to know the Fae and learn more about them, while the Black Order will be given an order requesting that they find a way to get the Fae to go back to their realm. As always, what characters decide to do with these orders are up to you!

ETA: Just a couple quick notes since these questions have come up a few times.

Monster types that are behind an element lock still require characters of that element in order to be it. Only shadow characters can be shade, only water characters can be selkies, etc.

If you get a second monster type this month, you can still purchase regains for it later on after this event! You just can't sign up for a second monster type after this event.

Since many monsters have countless variations to them, if there is a monster trait you want your character to have that is not on the Obtainable Trait list, please comment to the regain post with linked evidence that it's a trait associated with said monster and the mod team will figure out if it's obtainable in Kaisou and it's point value. For example if you want your vampire to turn into mist, you'd need to link evidence of it being used in a vampire story such as Dracula.

Event Plans: He's already a scalie so I don't think I'll curse him much beyond that, but he's definitely going to be getting a little spooked by some salmon memories. Beyond that he has a liiittle bit of experience dealing with the fae so he'll be trying to bust people out of binds as he can, but he's aware that he can only do so much. He'll also hope that Feo Ul (of his world) doesn't get mad at him even though they're not here, bless him.

Event Plans: ABSOLUTELY getting cursed AND getting some memories from his past life back. Which one I don't know yet but considering he's been investigating the whole furries situation it will be hilarious that it will come back to bite him. He doesn't know a damn thing about the fae aside from what Waver's post said so it will probably be an accidental run in.

Separate from the event, I wasn't joking about the superpower alias thing. His cringe is going to come out one way or another, fuck the police. I gotta branch more with him, he needs friends since he's still pretty new.

I've got Danny over here in the baby stages of his superhero career. Because sometimes you've just got to accept that the universe has decided that you're meant for a specific job.

ya boi got his fire powers and a sword back last month and "darknight hero" from canon is silly in his opinion (cos he's lame) so i've been handwaving just a tad that he's been skulking about crime fighting in the dead of night but like the lowest key manner. at least for now

but if danny wants to find him and they have a pointing meme moment BY ALL MEANS. He's The Loner Type which means it may not end the best but see for me that's just more encouragement

/Sighs. Danny resisted for a while, but that overdeveloped sense of responsibility is a pain. He's started patrolling around Kaisou when there's trouble around. And he got his superhero logo back last month, though he hasn't brought it up to anyone yet.

Danny will absolutely play the annoying teen hero in this. So this will be great.

Though hes getting kidnapped by the Fae this month, so he'll have to deal with that.
