Winter Musical Auditions!

Hey, y'all! It's Ryuu coming in hot with an OOC sign up for Kaisou High School's musical audition for winter! Yuri's decided on Beauty and the Beast and it's open to everyone in the high school for auditioning. There are no gender restrictions for the roles, either, because he really gives no flying foxes about it (note: no Yusuke Kitagawas were harmed in the making of this saying). Help in stage production as techies, prop makers, etc will also be welcome!

That being said, an affinity to singing will be required, but Yuri is going to be editing the script so that certain roles don't need to sing. They may at the ending song if they want to, but it's optional for them primarily!

Roles not filled by player characters will be taken up by NPC students in the high school. Anyone in his drama classes will get extra credit for auditioning and test exemption if they land a role. He's benevolent this way. B3 Anyway, anyone willing to audition may comment to this post with the character and the first, second, and third choices of roles they'd try out for! Multiple people auditioning for the same role will be RNG'd to make it fair. If you have no preference to what role you get, please note it and you'll be slotted in wherever! Announcements for who got what will be put up on December 1st! Please get submissions in by around November 30th!

Main Roles

Beast: Prince/Princess/Royal cursed to be a beast
Belle: Our leading protagonist
Gaston: The antagonist hunter dudebro who really wants to get with Belle

Supporting Roles

Enchantress/Old Beggar: The one who did The Cursening
Maurice: Belle's parent who's a bit... out there
Lefou: Gaston's sidekick and yes-person
Cogsworth: The butler cursed to be a clock
Lumiere: The maître d' cursed to be a candelabra
Mrs/Mr/Mx. Potts: The cook cursed to be a teapot
Chip: Potts's child cursed to be a teacup
Madame/Monsieur de la Grande Bouche: An opera singer cursed to be a wardrobe
Babette: Maid/manservant cursed to be a feather duster
Silly Posse: The villagers swooning over Gaston
Servants/Villagers: There may be shared roles here!
Narrators: Four roles are open for this and they don't need to sing!

ELLIOT IS A TEACHER SO OBVIOUSLY HE'S NOT AUDITIONING, but if you need extra incentive - kids who audition will also get extra credit in Elliot's music class as well as a test exemption if they land a leading role! So basically same perks as Yuri, but for music class!

Though not affiliated with the school officially, being Yuri's friend she will happily donate paint, materials and time to the production! How do we feel about really detailed backdrops? Set pieces? Any art-inclined students or teachers (or otherwise) could get in on it.

Catch her up at 2am painting an elaborate castle backdrop for the forest scenes.

Jane's too nice and Yuri doesn't know how to handle this cries.... He keeps these pieces in the best condition he can, tho that's hard with teenagers running around.

Obviously not a high schooler, but Hansa will pitch in with some treats and drinks whenever they need it (as well as helping out with the set)!

Danny will volunteer for techie/prop production (because he wants that extra credit). But hes easily bullied if anyone wants to try and talk him into actually auditioning for something.

Yuri will definitely appreciate his help! If he wants to audition for a part but keep tech work as a backup, Yuri will allow it easy.

Danny would definitely prefer to just work crew (because his control on his power still slips when he gets nervous, and he'd prefer to not have an entire audience see him floating or phasing into the stage floor thanks). But he can be persuaded if there is somewhere else he is needed.

Cale is auditioning to be understudy for Gaston, Beast, & Lumiere. He doesn't have the confidence to actually apply for any of these roles himself. If he gets a role, he will be shocked beyond belief. If not, he'll be helping everyone memorize their lines and with theater make up.
