Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for June!
OOC Housekeeping
- The Zodiac Network Post will go up June 1st, with a midmonth post going up June 15th. There will be one event log, that'll be posted June 15th.
- If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month!
- Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord for current players! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

Side quests - IMPORTANT UPDATE
Unfortunately, due to a combination of low player interest/engagement, and the mods behind the side quests having continuing difficulties IRL- we will be putting Side Quests on hold for the foreseeable future. This was not an easy decision, but after monitoring it for several months, adding changes to improve things, and discussing options among the mod team - we reached the decision that this is the best course of action for now. Whether Side quests will return in some form will be visited at a later date, but it'll mostly depend on a combination of mod capabilities and player interest.
If you wish to sign up for one last side quest before they are closed, they will be available to sign up through this week! We've even brought back quests from March and April so people will have a chance to revisit those. After June 1st at the closing of office hours (4pm EST), sign ups will be closed. Side quests can be found here.
Faction Updates
Just noting that we're combining the three factions together into one section for space!
POKEGO: The POKEGO Animal Shelter is now open and ready to take on animals! In addition, the Terarium has appeared in the harbors of Kaisou. It'll be up to POKEGO to investigate this new Terarium and figure out if it'd be a good place for them to use! As always, you can check out updates to the PICHU facility here and information about Cygnus Academy here.
Zodiac: Congrats! You get to do rainbow capitalism!! Have fun working basically every Pride event in the city to push rainbow themed Zodiac merchandise. At least proceeds will go to charities helping the LGBTAQ+, so you got that for you!
Black Order: There has been abrupt changes in the Hyrule Spirit Realm, including a mysterious corruptive substance that has been appearing around the Hole in hyrule. It'll be up to the Black Order members to investigate and try to figure out how to deal with this new threat that surely isn't an ominous sign of things to come. More details will be discussed in chat.
City Events
This month, these things will be going on in the city:
- It will be a Light Element month! This means the light element will be stronger, while shadow element will be weaker. Weather wise, it will be beautiful early summer weather. During the night, the spirit vein will be having a full light show of rainbow colors.
- Over in Hyrule, Sky Islands will be appearing floating above the clouds of Hyrule. For now, you'll need flight or a flying contraption to reach them, but it is the only location you can find the rare flower Sundelion which can cure corruption when made into a potion. Just watch out for the robot guards that are hanging around and will attack on sight.
- In the Kanto region, there will be several outbreaks of fairy, psychic and electric-type pokemon! If you're hoping to catch pokemon of that type, this is the month to try your luck! Otherwise be careful not to get eaten.
- It is now officially summer vacation for all students! Enjoy your summer! School will go back in session after Labor Day (so September)!
- With June here, the city is fully in Pride month! This means in the entertainment district, there'll be all sorts of pride celebrations! And just like previous years, the Vogue will be hosting a drag queen competition with a cash prize! More details on that will come later from the Queen Zulius himself.
- Early in the month, characters will receive an invite to "The Goblin King Masquerade", which will take place in the middle of the month. The location doesn't look like it's anywhere in Kaisou however, with it being listed in Goblin City. Which hey that's weird, but hey! A party's a party! Characters who try to throw out the invitation though? Will start to find precious things of theirs... missing, as the month goes on.
Free Gacha
During the month of June, characters can receive 3 free gacha pulls! ICly, these pulls will come in peaches of various sizes that are wrapped in a bow. Should you open the peach or it opens on its own, it'll reveal your gacha prize!
If you wish to have free gacha, please comment below! The mods will respond to about 10-30 gacha pulls per day until we're fully caught up.
Spirit Realm Event: Labryrinth
Kaisou is once again being visited by the fae, only this time it's not quite the usual group of fae. No, this time one of their rulers, the Goblin King, has taken it upon himself to liven Kaisou up. Apparently the city depresses him, and that just won't do. So! The entire city has been invited to a Goblin Masquerade, located in the heart of the Goblin King's domain, which he will open up to all of Kaisou's citizens. Unfortunately, he can't really do anything about the dangerous and confusing Labyrinth between the gate and his castle, but you're all powerful sorts. But don't worry, there'll still be danger to be found enough.
What's that? You're not interested in going? Too bad, His Majesty has decreed you're going and he will make sure you obey. While he hasn't taken anyone, he has taken things of great importance to the characters and will be holding them ransom until you attend the Masquerade (or the end of the month). This can be anything of importance to your character, from items, to abilities, to pets, to even memories. Don't worry, he left a ransom note... even if they're a little delayed, leaving you to spend up to a couple weeks panicked about your missing item.
The spirit realm log will be going up on June 15th.
