Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!

If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

If you are a player with a character in game looking for CR:
You can use this post to comment with your character and established some handwaved CR or just come up with different ways for characters to meet!

Character Name: Inwa Raen (Real name: Grian Morgoric)
Canon: FFXIV
Age: around 25-27
Type: Probably OU?

About: Inwa is the WOL's healer and Scion of the Seventh Dawn... when he remembers that healing the hero means he actually is a part of the group. His side job is as the lead healer of a private adventuring company, and a former Hingan priest. Most of his time is spent swinging between happy, energetically exuding positivity and then pendulum swinging back to anxious, depressed, and wishing to melt into the rug to stop being perceived (hence the name).


AU Plans: Okay, so. This is still here because I do have the thought in my mind to make him an AU instead, and if I did, he'd be a student going for a medical degree he really doesn't want while being a VTuber to support his way through school. He'd much rather be going into quantum physics or space sciences, but everyone expects him to be a doctor.

Looking for: I don't know, man. All of this is still experimental. I was supposed to app both Haitham and Inwa and then the cat took longer. If I go AU, then all sorts of connections are welcome.

Either one of those comes with built-in CR with my crew! obvs Ratio would be interested in the AU one and pushing him to chase his actual passion, and either way Maxima would remember the OU version - which might get complicated if it's the AU that arrives, but hey, he and Ghilley are figuring it out. as much as anything ever gets figured out around Ghilley, anyway.

He might not be remembered as anything more than just the quiet miqo'te that follows The Hero into dangerous situations, but he tends to pay attention to things around him. Maxima would be remembered, especially since they didn't leave him all too long ago. Also as someone who grew up in Hingashi, he really isn't bothered by the whole Garlean thing either.

Yeah, that is more or less how it ends up working with Ghilley too - I remember you sort of, you traveled with the WoL and the Scions. which WoL? eh...thinking about that is a fast track to a migraine so don't worry about it

so rose here is 1) a healer main (kind of, it's a long story), and 2) from hingashi originally so i would be

if you'd like/are interested i have a bunch of background stuff for her backstory ie where she lived and what she got up to in hingashi, too

Oh sure, absolutely. I don't have Inwa's Hingan History written down anywhere, but we can discuss and see how things land!

Inwa was mentored in healing and medical practicing since he was young, so he's a healer through necessity, but his heart lays with burning everything first and healing afterward.

he's an entire mood honestly.

that being said takame spent a lot of time in hingashi post doma conscript military defection hiding in plain sight with blonde hair but honestly he'd just kinda be Another Auri Guy On The Shopping Street in the big picture.

later down the line he went from DPS to Tank and probably gained a rep for being just so infuriating to heal but pays so very well. this all ofc depends on what route you go or if they're familiar at all.

if you go the AU route my AUs are a little tricky to preform relationships with but wei wuxian is someone more likely to be passingly familiar with for various reasons

on a side note diarmuid worked at the main college for some time so haitham would be familiar w/ him as well but as a goddamn blessing to haitham diarmuid is a hyper friendly extrovert who speaks introvert and largely leaves the man to his own devices
