Welcome to the January Handwaved CR & AU workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts are to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to. If you're brand news, you can check out FAQ page and the app page to get a sense of what's going on!

If you're a player looking to app a new character:
Apps are always open for submission and get done the first and third weekends of the month. So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

A reminder that in order to app either a Black Order or POKEGO AU you are required to have been in the game at least 3 months with another character. If you are rejoining the game after being gone awhile, you can count your past stint towards your 3 months, but it's recommended you look over the plot recap to see what you missed.

If you are a player with a character in game looking for CR:
You can use this post to comment with your character and established some handwaved CR or just come up with different ways for characters to meet!

Blade/Yingxing | Honkai: Star Rail

Character Name: Blade (Song Yingxing)
Canon: Honkai: Star Rail
Age: 27
Type: Paranormal AU

About: "Blade" was originally this blacksmith's online persona. After blowing himself up, he lost the majority of his memories and had to deal with a new demon roommate in his head, named Mara. Along the way, he recovered many of his missing memories and found out that he's had amnesia before in his past life and similar trauma. He's still a little feral in this AU but more prone to going off on 500 word tangents about his projects. Brilliant mind, shame about the personality. He's permanently under probation with the Black Order for his former demon possession, and has to report in regularly so they know he's not just running off killing people.

Typical Activities: Blade runs a forge in Hyrule and is basically the Taller Mad Genius Guy (the shorter one being Varian). If you need weapons or armor made, he's your man. He also loves Gundam so if you have a mech he's going to be in your business. Blade is also a fairly common sight around POKEGO (or at least Dan Heng and Jing Yuan), as well as the occasional visit to Meropide since Varian and Wriothesley live there.

that being said these blade and wei wuxian are probably more than passingly familiar w/ one another because blade's boyfriends are wwx's work wife and mentor/longtime friend before that point

HAHAHA YEAH ... I think Blade finds him annoying but tries to be on his best behavior, and naturally he has an interest in the weapons Wei Wuxian carries. If he ever needs help fixing one or maintaining it, Blade's like the first to volunteer. Even if no one asked.

finding him annoying that's just the right response to wei wuxian.

he DID get his sword back in november and its a very nice danmei sword otherwise we're just trying to keep the flute clean

he's probably not brought the sword up to anyone in space danmei house but i have the funny mental image of it coming up in passing over christmas or something and bladie's doggo ears go WOOP

ears pop out and tail starts going 500 miles per hour and WWX is like "dear god please don't jump on me"

Varian spends a lot of time with Blade! Even with the forge in the Fortress now, he makes a point of going to Hyrule at least a few times a month to spend time with Blade. And of course, is happy to have him come over to the fortress!! They talk shop and they SO talk about mechs! Jun has been showing Varian mech anime too, so he will bring these up too.

Husk checks on Blade on a semi-regular basis, in a "I don't actually give a shit, BUT" way. He worries about him even if he doesn't want to show it. He's technically family and that means Husk will be weird about giving a shit around him! Yay!

Zulius bothers him every time he comes anywhere near the Vogue. He gets dragged to a seat and told fill him him in on ALL the goss he missed! ALL of it! If he can't think of any? Well... he better!
