Hello everyone! It's time for the announcement and plotting post for March!

OOC Housekeeping

The Zodiac Network Post will go up March 1st and the February Event Log will go up March 4th.
As mentioned earlier this month, there is now a player cap on OU characters.
Applications are still open, but for the sake of time and workload management, starting in March, you can submit anytime but apps will only be reviewed by the mod on Sundays.
In addition to that, new characters will be added to their respected group texts (AU and OU) on the Friday after they've been accepted into the game. This is to give new characters enough time to do IC intros on their own and keep the inboxes from being spammed by Zodiac messages.
As an incentive to Normal AUs, any character who is apped with as a normal AU will be allowed to pick a regain of up to 3 points that'll appear after they joined the app! These regains can be an elemental regain or a regain from their canon selves. Normal AUs that are already in the game will receive this bonus retroactively once Activity Check is completed.
If you haven't already, please remember to check in for activity! Activity is due by the end of the month.
Just a reminder for anyone who hasn't joined yet, but we have a game discord! It's completely optional to join, but come in and say hi!

World Changes

Glaze Lilies can now be found growing around Kaisou and sold in flower shops. It's said they will grow better when sung to.
The Casa Madrigal, or Casita, can be found in Kaisou! Normal NPCs will note it's an unusual looking house but not notice any of its magical aspects. Also they will be convinced it's always been there.
The card game Triple Triad can now be found in game shops! It's a popular card game, and you can even find informal and formal tournaments around the city.
Outside the apartment building where Zodiac houses new arrivals, a warp pad can be found! This warp pad will teleport directly outside the nearest 7-Eleven.

Town Events
The town itself is pretty quiet this month! For St. Paddy's day, there'll be a number of drinking-related promotions going on at various bars, but overall the city itself will be pretty tame.

However starting in March, we'll be introducing a new type of regain: the gacha regain! Characters will be able to regain something that's selected completely randomly from a secret mod list - these items range anywhere from a paperclip to a new magic power to a curse to a car. To kick off this system, every character will get three free chances to get a gacha regain. After that, every gacha regain will cost 1 point. To redeem your three free regains, please respond to the comment below.

Gate Event: Tír na nóg
March's event will lead to the realm of Tír na nóg, aka the realm of the faefolk. The plot will start with several characters getting kidnapped to the Spirit Realm by a Dulahan and brought to the Fae Court, with the hopes of getting them to join their court. Meanwhile characters who weren't kidnapped will be welcome to go after and save their kidnapped friends. Characters in either group will be allowed to explore the realm as they like, but kidnapped characters will not be able to leave the realm for one IC week (March 15th - March 22nd) - though it'll feel longer to them (about a month). This also applies to any character that eats fae food or gives them their real name. While in the spirit realm, characters will be able to use Libra to communicate to other app users -- but other any other service (internet, text, phone) will be disabled.

During this plot characters will be able to hang out at a fae castle, fight monsters, a dragon, get lost in a bog, temporarily regain all canon memories (if an AU), or be transformed partially or fully into an animal/fae -- this last one being either temporarily for the plot or permanently depending on the player.

If you're interested in having your character be kidnapped, please comment below! There's no limit to characters who get kidnapped, this is just so your CR can know.

Event Plans: MIRABEL IS GETTING KIDNAPPED. And then she and Luisa are both gonna die to some kind of monster/creature, and then while on the break of death Mirabel is gonna beg for help and get saved by some Spirit Realm residents and brought back to life! Yay! Except now they might be a little possessed now...

She might get some animal changes too.

There's also gonna be a huge invitation for people to come hang out at Casita and it's gonna be a party. Date on that tbd.

About: A magicless witch and a bad but sad boy. A kid who has a whole pile of responsibilities foisted on him by the big bad of the show who is also his only family. He is extremely, utterly dedicated to Belos despite Belos being the worst. Fully believes there's no point in existing if he can't be useful.
Event Plans: Hunter will be hopping into the Spirit Realm quite a bit this month, doing insanely sketchy assignments from Zodiac! He'll be around killing and capturing monsters, collecting things, just generally up to no good (AKA the kinds of things he did back home, yaaaay). Absolutely down for characters calling him out or confronting him about this.

He's available to rescue anyone who has been kidnapped, but expect a whole lot of sass from the boy.

Event Plans: Bruno WAS planning on holing up in Casita for the entirety of the month, but seen as family members are getting themselves kidnapped, he'll willingly go into the spirit realm to help save them. Because as much as a non-combatant as he is, he loves his family and would do anything for them. If folks can be around him and make sure he doesn't die because he is small and weighs about the same as a sack of grapes, please do that. I might turn him into a rat at one point and let him live out his dreams.

Event Plans: If Mirabel is getting kidnapped, you can bet that Luisa is going into the spirit realm to save her. Unfortunately it's not going to turn out well, and the two are going to be a little possessed. Because that's not going to cause more problems for either of them, surely.

About: The result of a convoluted role-swap, Suzume is essentially what you get when you give Star Platinum a shot at being a whole person- Star's time active as a Stand didn't amount to a whole lot, so that means we got a 5 year old kiddo.

Suzume is a relatively kind kid over all though, and so far (SO FAR...) hasn't had the chance to display a yet to be infamous temper. It's there. Trust me. She's unable to really deal any hard 'ora ora' punches, but she Has already started gaining a bit of the speed herself as a Stand would've had.

Notably, the 'Stand' is...technically still there, this is a role swap! No one can see him though, and so as far as people are concerned, Suzume has an invisible friend she calls 'Hoshi'! Who just happens to be able to physically interact with things, mostly to keep her outta trouble.

Over all she's a small terror of a freespirited kiddo, looked after by a Nanny as hired by Zodiac, and living in an apartment provided by them- alongside a large stoutland.
Event Plans: SUZUME'S GETTING KIDNAPPED! If there is one thing the Fae are well known for, it's kidnapping people- and especially young kids. So yeah, that's definitely happening!
Anything else? Since gacha has chosen to give this small child a Literal Fire Whip, there's probably going to be a post with her shouting about 'Hoshi' refusing to let her have it! ...It'll be a post with a floating fire whip, go figure.

This isn't really a plotting thing, but I'm trying to sort out in advance what I can use points for other than powers, and gacha. So if anyone's got ideas coming to mind, I'm game!

About: Putting aside the AU she came from, in her AU here, Kate is a relatively prickly and mouthy lawyer who tends to handle matters in favor of women seeking to escape from troubled relationships and family situations, while also running a small youtube channel of lockpicking displays- she likes to keep her head down, but unfortunately she didn't do well enough in that area as prior her time on Libra she...well. Got killed.

And got better! Thanks to a possession contract! She's figuring out what that's all about now, but so far it definitely involves a lot of blood (she needs it to Live), and becoming some kind of mosquito person whenever she's in the spirit realm. She hates it!

At the same time she can't fight the feeling that now that she's entrenched in bullshit, she's not getting out, so time to start sorting that out, she figures.
Event Plans: On the fence with this one- maybe she'll go through the gate and remember herself. Maybe not! Honestly it'll probably be 'not', because right now I'm having plenty of fun just having her run around screaming. On a minor event note, expect her to go drinking.

She Needs One.
Anything else? Kate's gonna have to find out she has to drink blood over time to survive! ...Maybe if she's lucky someone will recognize the symptoms of blood loss and uh. Point that out to her.

Otherwise at this point the backup plan is her putting 2 and 2 together when she wakes up in a hospital again, with a bill for numerous necessary blood transfusions AGAIN.

Once is a miraculous recovery from death, twice is the cost revealed see.

He jokes around a lot, but he's also evasive and a blunt dick, but deep down he's a good person probably.
Event Plans: Zelos won't be getting kidnapped because it's hard to trap someone with fae food when they don't EAT. He will help out with the rescue attempts though! Also his Angel toxicosis will be progressing further so he will lose his ability to sleep, so that's fun.

Event Plans: Debating getting her kidnapped. On one hand, it'll be funny. On the other, she is very likely to become very homicidal because she doesn't respond well to things like that. At least she wouldn't need to be rescued....

Either way she'll think the faefolk are massive assholes after this
