Breaking the Chains - Player Plot Signups

If you're in the Discord or have close CR with Zhongli/the Black Order, you've probably heard some rumblings about a player plot.

This plot, though run by a mod, is not an official plot and won't have anything important to the meta plot in it. (Though, it may get a mention next year as the Black Order comes into focus again.) Participating in the voyage part of this plot means that characters will miss a whole month in character, INCLUDING the November event because they'll be sailing on an 18th century warship in the middle of the ocean.

Zhongli will be letting his CR know about this plot through handwritten letters he gives to them, because he operates under the assumption that their phones are bugged. Edward Kenway (jackdawvision) will be making a post on the network to try to draw in volunteers for the expedition. (ETA: here it is!) You don't need close CR with Zhongli and the Black Order to come along, but characters should have the ability to put up with gods, freaks, and whathaveyou in close quarters for a month. Friction is fine and expected, but no one should be dying!

With that in mind, here are the details and OOC signups.

The Plan
Zhongli intends to break his dragon ex husband out of prison and seal him away. Because Jun (whiteshroud) is stupidly powerful, he is capable of creating large portals that can transport massive creatures. Unfortunately, he cannot make a portal to any place he's never physically been before, so he needs to travel to where Azhdaha is being held (the Black Order's HQ) in order to get Azhdaha to Kaisou.

Once he has reached that destination (via a boat ride and being snuck into the Order), he will create a portal and draw Azhdaha back to Kaisou. From there, other characters will need to fight Azhdaha and incapacitate him so Jun can use another overpowered spell to seal him away into a book.

While Jun can assist in making sure the dragon doesn't rampage all over town (unless someone else wants that job because he is already doing So Much), he cannot help in the fight itself. Zhongli is also going to be incapacitated for most of the Azhdaha fight due to drawing the majority of the dragon's ire and general insanity.

After the dragon is sealed and the fight is resolved, the boat and its crew will be teleported back to Kaisou by a very tired Jun, saving them a month of travel. It will take a couple of days for Jun to recover the mana to do this, though, so they can enjoy a brief vacation in Denmark and a stay at a nice hotel, courtesy of the Black Order.

The Proposal
Those participating will have a choice of two teams. A character may only be on ONE team.

Boat Crew will be manning the ship and/or protecting the people on it during the one month voyage to Europe, starting on October 16th in character. Experienced sailors are preferred, but not required, just the ability to listen to orders. Please note that, again, the boat crew will miss the November plot. They'll still be able to visit the Spirit Gate after the plot concludes, but they will not be able to help with the event nor will they be able to fight the dragon getting dropped on Kaisou. They will, however, get a couple of days to tour Denmark after a long boat ride.

Boat crew will have their own log to interact and deal with events during the cruise (nothing metaplot worthy, think D&D encounters). They will have access to Libra, as well as rudimentary electricity and slow ass satellite wifi thanks to Varian.

City Crew will be on standby in Kaisou waiting for Azhdaha, Jun, and Zhongli to pop through the portal. They will have to contend with a very angry, very insane dragon that needs to be brought down to low HP so he can be sealed. This is the option you want to sign up for if you'd like your character to still participate in November's event.

City crew will have a log to fight the dragon!

The Forms
It's always good to have a headcount for this sort of thing, and depending on how many participants we get, I may need to rewrite parts of the fight. So! Please comment below if any of your characters are participating, and what team they're on.

OOC signups for the BOAT CREW will remain open until October 15th.
