Welcome to the AU & CR workshop for Kaisou! We're super excited to have you! These posts will be made on a bimonthly basis to help encourage old and new players to make new connections and find potential CR while designing your AU or figuring out what your OU character has been up to.

Apps are always open! So once you got a clear idea of what you want, feel free to hop over to the application page! If you're already in the game, feel free to comment to this post as well to make new CR!

If you want or need some idea of what you're potentially getting into, there are a couple posts on her journal that offer summaries of things (spoiler warning, obvs), and one of them includes a link to the game's official website. One of those two posts also takes a shot at explaining how the Witch even works in-game (she's literally RSI: The Character Class™). She was also in Daybreak starting in December 2020 and I've left a copy of her app from that game on the journal as well.


But yeah, cousins that met for the first time at a family reunion and had decided to stay in touch because they actually hit it off fairly well, and then more-recently Robin's moved in because Reasons™? That could definitely work. Their likely having some shared interests probably helps!

I thought you might have been in Daybreak (I was there with Minako and as a part-time mod)! I'm totally down with Robin living with her family (she petitioned to study in a bigger city and maybe they were the only ones in Kaisou?), have a nerdy Welsh girl and all her books!

Who also kind of also has an evil dragon inside of her. But it's fine, that certainly will never come up in the future.

Theirs will absolutely be a nerd house.

So, what do you think: cousins on Robin's mom's side of the family, or on Definitely Not Validar's side to stick Kat with the same family name? I'm cool with either.

Robin will also be cousins with Tsukasa (using her family name, I believe), so I think with this it would work better for it to be on Robin's mom's side. Not that having Kat be directly related to Definitely Not Validar wouldn't be interesting either.

Probably looking at having their respective moms be sisters, then. That way whatever name I pick for Katida herself won't have any real impact on things.

oh god watching the Tsukasa thread reminded me: Kat's regains are going to be fun, like

that's not a hat.

that is not a hat it is actually physically and directly attached to her head IT IS NOT A HAT sorry Robin your cousin might have a little bit of body horror going on eventually please try not to worry too much about it

It'll help her with her magic if or when she regains that too but yeeeeeeeeeeah this thing showing up will be. an Experience.

With their moms being sisters and all, it'd make sense to say that Kat's parents are also from Wales but came on over themselves at some point before they had her, reasons for the move kind of up in the air but those can probably be left until they actually need to be addressed, if they need to be addressed.
